Food was good. Dining with four teenage boys at the round table was fun for them, since the tables(and the seating) can be spun. I had the mushroom and swiss burger with onion rings, and I would recommend. Menu includes a variety of wings, and, of course, tacos. Huge beer selection on tap.

If you don’t like fish, be sure and order the fish tacos. You don’t need to worry, because you won’t get any fish in your fish tacos. I was given three, very small flour tortillas with nothing but crunchy batter inside. I’m serious. No fish, just crunchy, fried, batter. The servers and bartender were great people but the fish tacos had NO fish. I would be embarrassed to serve people the food I received tonight.

My partner and I decided to stop by and eat at this location after we took a ghost tour of the town. It was late in the night around 10:30 and the place didn’t close to midnight everywhere else closed around 11:00pm. We walked in to only stand for about 5 – 6 minutes before a host came to great us and rather then greeting or asking how we were doing she made a horrible first impression on us by saying. «You must be here for your to-go order» I politely responded with«No we are here for a table» we were then walked over to our table and I knew from then on the service would be horrible. My prediction on the service was right we ordered an appetizer and didn’t get it until about 15 minutes later then shortly after we reviewed our food. The food was great but the service was absolutely horrible.

This was our second attempt at eating here. We visited for the first time last summer. Last July we waited a long time to be seated and then even longer to get our food. The service was simply subpar. Tonight we did have to wait to be seated even though there were empty tables. We had to ask for our appetizer and it finally came out with our meals. My food was cold and our queso was already congealed.

Wide variety of foods. Something for everyone here. More casual not fancy foods but all tasted good. My daughter got a burger and it was very good, juicy and good flavor. I got a wrap, they did give me a different one that I ordered but it was still good. Tasted like ranch dressing was homemade and was very good. Would go back!

My son wanted hot wings so we stopped in… I should have realized it was St Patricks day and probably not the best day to eat here. The bar side was packed of course. Luckily they seated us to the right where it was less crowded. I asked if the chips were home made and was told yes. I just ordered fresh guacamole and chips. It also came w salsa. My son ordered boneless mild buffalo wings and fries. We waited quite a while for the food to arrive. When it finally did they didn’t bring the ranch for my sons wings. Then we waited forever for them to bring it back. I do not eat meat anymore but the wings didn’t look good to me. He said they were not anywhere as close to as good as Buffalo Wild Wings. My chips were just ok, they were kind of thick and tasted kind of stale, like they were fried significantly earlier in the day. The guacamole was ok, just ho-hum guacamole really. Our server was not that great either. The whole experience was mediocre at best. I would come back here to drink beer but not to eat.

Great atmosphere but the food was overcooked. We had to ask multiple times for everything. I ordered a chicken wrap with no tomatoes and I got a chicken sandwich with tomatoes. The chicken was very dry and overcooked. Won’t rule out a 2nd visit but it will be a while.

Right off the bat, you’ll notice that some serious remodeling has been done that has given some life back to this once dated bar and grill. A few walls have been knocked down and some modern furniture has been acquired along with a multitude of large flat screen displays that are arranged more strategically than the monitors in Buffalo Wild Wings that resemble the control room from The Matrix. No kidding, I sat in a circular lounge car and could spin 360 degrees and still have a screen showing any sporting event I desired(even those obscure New Zealand LARPing tournaments) within 5 feet of my face. The bar has more drafts than anywhere in town with all the IPAs, Pilsners, Stouts, Domestics, Imports, Strong Ales, High Gravs, and Hefeweizens I’ve ever imagined. T-Mac prides itself on having great wings and they still are pretty fantastic and better than most places in town with a thicker, spicier buffalo sauce that has an clear edge over most competitors. The menu is pretty fleshed out as well for non-wing fans with all your typical bar items and apps you would expect from a place of this caliber but just order the wings and move on with your life. In the first 15 minutes of enjoying this place, it was hard to find any real flaws. The waiter was kind and attentive. The food service was snappy and my wings were delicious. Hell, they even turned the volume on for the game I was watching that was only airing on an English soccer channel. But after a few harmonious minutes, I began to see something unravel that started to justify all the negative reviews I had read. After ordering a beer to a young gentlemen more interested in a talented young lady through the window at Panera Bread than listening to me or even writing down a single note from all four of my party’s orders, the guy disappeared for a good 20 minutes only to reappear, ask for our drink orders a second time, and apologize insincerely. That’s beyond pathetic and borderline negligent for a place with so much going for it. I always try to give people in the service industry the benefit of the doubt, and to be honest, it didn’t seem like the guy had much help for a packed Sunday lunch service with seating times probably at 15 minutes a table. Manning the cathedral of beer that spans a good thirty feet long, a single bartender rushed around, likely doing his best, to fulfill all of the drink orders for the entire restaurant. That’s pretty outrageous and indeed asking too much of a single man with two arms and one brain. So the issue with Taco Mac likely stems from severe understaffing and a lack of training for its employees. It’s a real shame that such an attractive place with all the beer and amenities you could ask for currently offers such a lousy service. Maybe I just came at a bad time or there were extenuating circumstances, but I really hope this place gets its act together and starts meeting the high standards that it’s food, atmosphere, and drinks have already set. Still worth a visit. 3 out of 5 stars.

So weird to see so many bad reviews here. Friend and I were in town for work and took a late afternoon walk down riverfront and ended up here for drinks/dinner on 2÷18÷2016. We enjoyed it greatly and big plus that it was within walking distance of our hotels. Shining star — wings. Roasted to be specific. We tried the honey chipotle, medium, mild and lemon pepper. Lemon Pepper was our favorite. Guac was fresh but needed a little salt, so we took care of that at the table. Loss of star: I ordered three margaritas, frst two were excellent, then bar tender shift change and third was terrible and COMPLETELY different from the first two. Friend, same experience — first two were great, her third had to be remade it was so bad. Funny thing was, new bartender had gotten some award while we were there… not sure what it was for because she was horrible. Husband and I are planning a trip down in a few weeks for fun and the wings are on our list of things to do. Hope my friend and I didn’t hit it on a fluke last time and we get the same great wings we had on our next visit.

Ordered a veggie burger 40 minutes ago… still no burger and there are no more than 20 people in the entire place. Good beer selection. But, a burger with the beer would be better.

Horrible service. One bartender who ignores half the bar. She poured a pint when we ordered a pitcher and then just dumped the beer into the pitcher. Thanks for the flat beer! Avoid, better places are literally anywhere else.

Came here last week with my boyfriend and had a great time. Went back tonight with a friend from out of town, hoping for the same experience. It was NFL Sunday, so figured it would be busy. Waited about 10 mins after being seated for a waitress to come for our drink orders. She seemed a bit frazzled since it was busy. Drinks came eventually, but my friend’s drink was incorrect. Waited again for his correct drink to come. Once that was done, we ordered our appetizer and meals while we had the waitress’s attention. Waited about 5 mins for the appetizer(chips and queso), and our meals came shortly thereafter. Then we realized we didn’t have any silverware, so we caught our waitress’s attention. She said she would«go find some,» but I saw her stop at about 5 other tables before she looked like she was addressing our issue. She came back later with two sets of plastic forks and knives and said she«looked everywhere» but couldn’t find any silverware for us. Mmmmmkay. Manager stopped by and apologized, but never brought us any clean silverware. Clearly no one in the kitchen was hustling to fix that. The waitress came back and apologized and said she was overwhelmed. I understand that it was busy, but it’s food service, and it’s an NFL Sunday. It’s going to be busy. I worked in food service for 5 years, and there are much better ways to handle being overwhelmed that don’t aggravate your customers. Sorry, TMac. At least my beer was good.

Food was decent but the craft beer options make up for it and to be fair, I’ve only been there once. Lots to choose from so next time I’ll try something different. Staff was really friendly. Definitely a good pregame spot!

I don’t drink much but when I do I love something sweet, and this definitely hit the spot. Was actually pretty strong surprisingly but very good!!! Highly recommended for anyone that likes a strong but sweet drink!

Been here several other times so decided to drop in again and bring someone new to it. It was around 4pm on a Saturday, not a peak time even with March Madness in process. No major games playing as Kentucky was coming up. Very surprised to walk in and get a 30 minute wait time. Only a couple others waiting, but 25 to 35 tables empty. However, none cleared. I have never been in any restaurant that was this trashed with nothing cleaned. Most places would clear some of the debris while you sat if your watching a game. Thus was unreal. Inside and out, every table piled high with plates, trash, and beer glasses. We ended up finding a place at the bar where we continued to wait to get served. Not all the poor bartenders fault. They clearly did not have enough help. One bartender for bar and making drinks for rest of bar. It was all we could do to get a beer. Was going to eat but left vs the wait. Only reason to give two stars vs one, is because I know they are better than this.

«All right, brain, I don’t like you and you don’t like me — so let’s just do this and I’ll get back to killing you with beer.» –Homer Simpson Whenever I am in Chattanooga, Market Street is usually the home of my own personal pub crawl, and T. Mac is as good a place as any to start the killing of the brain cells. Service is pretty good, big selection of beer, and lots of big screens to entertain the locals. Overall, A-OK. Cheers!

Arggh. This one is tough because I just left working there. Don’t want to be prejudiced here. In any direction. But here’s the previous customer/recent insider perspective. Before I worked there, I really liked TMac(yes, what it is called now) but I had to take down the positive reviews when I became an employee six months ago(per Unilocal terms of service). Now, I can write it up as I am no longer an employee. First, one of the better(great? cool? not sure the English major way to say this) mgt that I have experienced in my resto life(leave corp America and bounce around a bit and start working as a bartender/server…you learn the degrees of difference in this business) for one very big example– while closed for the remodel. .. servers were compensated for that period, as I was. But I was on medical leave after breaking my face, so they didn’t have to do that. Also, mgt in general was great, but it did get a skosh too corporate for me, solid overall. Awesome sauce — I mean queso. Which leaves me to the food part of this review. The queso rocks. I guesstimate that I had(sold to?) 85% of my tables get it. That good. The quesadillas are awesome. I like the steak best but — one thing I loved about working there is that the policy is. .. make the guest(never a «customer») happy, in any and every way we can. To wit: I found a way to get a vegan customer to get a veggie one– no cheese, add extras like tomato and make sure extra mushrooms and black beans. Don’t even get me started on the Chicken Fingers of Goodness. Three large, delicious pieces of all natural, hormone free chicken. Fried but so good. The nachos… please, y’all. I only had one guest ever finish the whole order and I was so impressed. They are that big. I prefer the chicken version but the ATW(with seasoned beef and chili) are very popular — and yes, though it is kinda annoying for your server and the kitchen, you can get any/all ingredients on the side. The steak philly(chicken philly is not as good) and the chicken Swiss sandwich are super, as is the Cobb Salad. The burgers are ok but not I-must-have good. Also– any server should tell you that almost any item can be omitted or substituted. But there are exceptions…Onion is one specific example — cannot be removed from the salsa, the queso, or the chili. Since the remodel, which I loved and still love– the place is beautiful — but there have been issues. Kitchen issues, bar issues, staff issues — even equipment issues(that Sat when the TVs went down smack in the middle of the first weekend of football totally sucked). BUT– the effort has been made and, I believe, will continue to be. The kitchen staff works hard(when have you been hollered at by seven or more people about that order you need? when have you hand-washed a ton of dishes and remained basically calm?). The servers(mostly) work hard. The bar and Management definitely works hard. We are also held to specific standards, behavior and even mystery shopping reports. Some customers are more patient and understanding than others– whether it’s too long on wings at a weekday lunch, or a beer undelivered on a Saturday game day. All of that is worked to make improved, better, or — not happen at all — every time. So, bottom line? 4* stars for food when it is done right. 2−3* for timing of food and drink service when it gets busy. 1* for parking(but I’m kinda joking bc this is not TMac’s fault) 5* for the new roasted wings and flatbreads(seriously, try the roasted, my fave is lemon pepper and the bbq chicken fbd is great). *7 stars for mgt and company effort. *19 stars for the fries I always want to steal from a guets’s plate *10 stars — WAIT!- did I not mention the 96 beers on tap, Thu pint night(keeper glass) and options like Dogfish 120 when no one else had it? Yeah, I may not be part of the family any more… but overall, it’s good stuff.
