Eggs, pancake, potatoes were great. Sausage… Not so much. I love sausage and did not eat. Service was adequate but they did not keep an eye on my water. Slow time of day. I would return, I would not order sausage again.

We ate at this restaurant on a Friday about 12:30 in the afternoon. It was not busy with only about 25% of the tables filled. They seatted us right away. The 2 waitresses in our area never even acknowledged our presence. We waited while they chit chatted with the table across from & next to us. They were not serving customers just chatting about personal stuff. After 15 + minutes were went to the hostess & complained. We then got one of the chatters to wait on us. The food was good but the service was horrible. We won’t be back.

A decent place for a sit down breakfast instead of fast food. The place itself is nice enough and the food is ok but nothing to right home about. My wife had apple cinnamon pancakes and I had corned beef hash with eggs. Mine was a little salty so I didn’t finish. Portions were large. We could have easily shared. Their coffee was good and strong. I also liked their Hollandaise sauce and English muffin. Service was fine even for a busy Saturday morning. Overall, not bad but in the same class as Denny’s and IHOP or maybe a step above…

Excellent food and very good service. We had brunch there on Sunday and they did a great job of handling the influx of customers. I highly recommend them.

Awful, awful experience. 0 stars. For a ridiculous price, my Mother’s Day was ruined. My fiancé and I came by for Mother’s Day breakfast, expecting it to be busy. Understandably it was packed and we patiently waited for about 40 minutes(initially were told it would be a 10 minute wait for a 2top). Being in my third trimester, I got very tired standing around so I was very excited once our name was called. We were seated in the first table in front of the doors, the people waiting for a table and by the hostess. I have never eaten in front of an audience before and it was incredibly awkward trying to enjoy my meal while about 20 eyes were staring at me. It took about 20 minutes for our server to come by. We ordered quickly and waited. And waited. And waited some more. Finally when our food came, after an hour and 45 minutes since we walked in, there was something off. Bacon and eggs did not taste right. Waitress was nowhere to be found. She finally dropped off the check. We paid and took off as fast as we could. About 2 hours later, the both of us got sick. So, my very first Mother’s Day was spent in the bathroom with food poisoning. I ended up at the Erlanger ER. Now a week later, I am still weak. Being pregnant, I’ve had an even harder time recovering, I am still on bed rest. This was hands down the worst dining experience.

Great menu, fairly decent service, but I was surprised that my food didn’t taste quite right. Came out nice and hot, and looked really great, but there was something about the meat that tasted weird. Don’t know if it as an unusual marinade, or of it was past the freshness date, but note quite right. Not bad enough to complain, but with an almost metallic flavor, something wasn’t very good. I’ll probably give it another chance someday because of all the positive previous reviews though not worth a special trip.

Disorganized wait staff. My 1st visit. I had to wait on the cashier who was doubling as the hostess to first check out a line of customers wsiting to pay and then I was seated. Then 2 seperate tables that were seated in the same section after me were waited on first. I left and won’t be back.

Great place to eat. They have friendly server’s, and great food! Fresh fruit drinks, and healthy food options on the menu. I highly recommend this place to someone for breakfast needs!

Omg! The Egg & I is my new favorite place for breakfast… I’ve been there several times over the last few months, and it’s always amazing. The gravy and biscuit is to die for. If you haven’t tried this little slice of heaven in East Brainerd, it’s a must! Put it on your list… You won’t be disappointed. The service is just as great as the food!

Horrible, AWFUL lack of service not once… but THREETIMES! We arrived and several tables/booths were available. My husband and I opted for a booth and were given one in the back corner. After a pretty substantial wait, our server finally appeared and asked what we wanted to drink. We’d had coffee before arriving and said we did not want a beverage, but had a question about toast options and were otherwise ready to order. She walked off without taking our order. Okaaaaaaaaaaaaay. Almost 10 minutes later we saw the hostess and another woman motioning towards our table and they came over and asked if we’d been helped. Shared the above and she said she’d send the manager over. Instead, another server came who said our initial server was ‘busy for a few minutes’ and she’d be taking our order. We gave it to her as another couple was seated at the other end booth across the dining area from us. The food for THAT couple arrived and we still had no food in front of us. The manager came and said the server was new and our food should be out shortly. 42 minutes after we checked in… so likely 45+ minutes from actually being seated… still no food. Flagged down the initial server who said the computer system had crashed and maybe our order had been lost. I motioned to the couple across from us who was SEATED when we ordered and that they had their food. She then went into a very long story about how she watched our server enter our food after she had entered their food and she knew that they ordered before us. Unless they called from the car, that is not even possible! We went to the manager and told him we were leaving and all the above. His response was that there was really nothing else he could do. Extremely UNapologetic and I don’t think he could have cared less if he’d tried. Seriously!!! Absolutely and positively DISGUSTED by this place and while the menu items looked good… we’ll never know as we will boycott this chain ACTIVELY for such egregious lack of service! If excuses were food, we’d have had a feast. As it was, we left famished and angry. BOOOOOOOOOOOOO on this awful, awful place!!!

Service is good… Food is terrible. Stale English muffins and an old omelette and potatoes that should have been thrown out yesterday. I guess when you are used to eating good it’s hard to pay for reheated food.

Best brunch menu near the Hamilton area. Great variety of options and seasonal features. Only downfall they don’t serve alcohol, so no mimosas or bloody mary’s with your breakfast.

This is one of my favorite places to eat brunch. The selection is great, food delicious and price is on point! Service is great. I have been here numerous times and have never been disappointed. Great atmosphere, cozy and inviting. Also, it’s a great central location in Chattanooga. If you’re a breakfast food lover and enjoy a good brunch selection, Egg & I is a must!

stopped by here with my mom after picking her up at the airport. The service was ok and the food the same. Not a lot of coffee choices, food was ok but I don’t think I would stop by here again. Just too many other choices.

I absolutely love the breakfast here and the service is also excellent! Been here five times and it has not disappointed yet. Just about every time I have ordered the«Hiker’s Benedict», because it is just that good! The kiddos love the French toast Never had lunch here, so can’t give a review for that.

Stopped in for a quick bite and it was packed. Food was good and had a great selection. However, the hostess was rude. She was short with people and I did not see her smile one time while I waited on my table. She had plenty of smiles for the bus boys though. The cashier was super friendly and all smiles. There should be a change in positions for sure.

Great breakfast/brunch place. My partner and I went to breakfast with his dad on july 4th weekend and we were delighted to find this place open and bustling. There was a 20ish minute wait to get our table but the wait was a breeze. They offered free coffee while you waited and had a great sitting area for restless kids and family. The menu was a little expensive for a breakfast place, but the food was superb. I ordered the crab cakes Benedict and my partner had the Belgian Waffle Eggspress. The eggs were cooked to perfection and their Benedict selection was impressive and unique. The service was impeccable and all the staff were extremely friendly and courteous. The overall feel of the place and the décor makes it a great place for a good southern breakfast for a couple or large group.

Had a great Saturday morning brunch. Wait staff was attentive and the food was fresh and tasty. My waiter was very hard working. We waited over 10 minutes for our drink order and wait after placing order was 20 min. Other than the wait times food was good.

If you want an awesome breakfast, you HAVE to try this place! Their menu is huge and they have a ton of options. Eggs, omlettes, pancakes, waffles and more. Service is awesome — we had Mike as our waiter and he was very friendly. The«Belgian Waffle Eggspress» is the perfect breakfast: a waffle, eggs, and bacon or sausage. Highly recommend!

The food was very good and the serving size was plentiful. The server we had was excellent, you could tell he enjoys his job. I do think the price was a little expensive for breakfast food but I would go back to eat there when we visit again.

Was in the area and went and had a late breakfast/lunch. Closes at 2p on weekdays and got there about 1:20p. Several diners in there but not too busy. This has been on my list of places to try. Great menu and lots of choices. To drink I ordered the Key West Sunrise Cooler — a mixture of lemonade, orange juice and Sprite with a splash of grenadine, garnished with cherries and lemon. Very yummy and refreshing. Not too sweet. The Sprite gives it a little zing. I may have to make these at home and add vodka, just a thought. ;-) To eat I ordered the Green Chile Chicken Hash. It was decent. Almost like a green chile enchilada with eggs. Nice amount of green chile sauce and it was mild, the eggs were nicely done, over-easy. Love that runny yolk over my food. Mmmmmm mmmmm. Came with a tortilla so you could make a burrito too. I had leftovers and that gives me a 2nd breakfast. Bonus! I also ordered a side pancake, because, well, why not? It’s a wheat pancake and fills the whole plate, but it was super thin. I’m more of a fluffy pancake gal. It was good, nothing wrong with it, but didn’t wow me. The food was good, just pretty generic. I guess this is a chain and you can tell that they don’t do off the cuff kind of food. Good breakfast choice though. Better than some chains in the area. I’d go again if I’m around there but probably wouldn’t make a special trip to go. PS — I am going to make that cooler drink with some vodka, or even rum. Mmmmm

This is the best breakfast restaurant I have visited(I haven’t tried their lunch selections yet). The food is very fresh, and the staff are friendly and efficient. I have recommended it to all friends and family who are in the area, and will be visiting some of this chain’s other locations. Love, love, love.

We ordered the Parisian Benedict and The Veggie Benedict, both were delicious! This restaurant has been here for about a year and I’ve been meaning to try it sooner. I wish I had tried it sooner! We will definitely be back. They serve breakfast and lunch. Our server, Brian, was very attentive. There’s not many good breakfast choices in the Hamilton Place mall area, this is a good addition for the area.

If your looking for an alternative to the normal chains for breakfast this is a nice place to start. Very clean and fresh when entering for a late breakfast. I had my normal eggs, pancakes, bacon and toast. Although, mine is simple so many screw this up over and over. This with my specifics for how I wanted my eggs and the bacon very crisp. They hit the home run, first time up. Only reason for 4 stars was the milk was not as cold as I prefer. Not sure if this is normal or sat on a counter too long. Service was good but seemed like gaps when they should have checked our drinks. But I will try again soon and update if needed. Nice spot for a change.

We’re not a breakfast people but wanted to try something new and well… this place is new. We’ve never been to this chain restaurant in any other location. We visited around 9:30AM on a Sunday and were seated right away. The hostess was pleasant. The décor is not cutting edge and trendy but homey. However, it’s not over the top with stuff nailed to the wall. The menu has a pretty diverse selection of breakfast stuff. I had eggs benedict and they were awesome. The side of potatoes were delicious as well. Our server was great, pleasant, and personable without hovering. We’ll check this place out again in the future.

I had some seriously high hopes for the newest breakfast addition in town. *sigh* But alas, this just didn’t quite hit home for me. The space is new and clean and it’s decorated like a good southern granny’s dining room.(Are we perhaps pigeonholing the region or are they all decorated this way? I’m just curious.) The interior was actually a bit smaller that what I was expecting. Our waiter did an excellent job and for that I was thankful. The carafe of coffee for your table is a nice plus. About the food: It was alright. It was a walk down the middle of the road. I ordered a basic plate: two eggs, biscuits and gravy, sausage, and potatoes. First and foremost, they did cook my eggs appropriately. Set whites, runny yolks. Good job! However, my potatoes were still frozen in the middle. Yep. Frozen and crunchy middles.(Really, I’ve mostly given up that this town knows how to cook a potato!) The sausage patties were the type that were thin, waxy, and leaves sweaters on your teeth. The gravy was just a typical white sausage gravy, but it kept stumping me. Is the sausage in the gravy the same as the sausage on the plate? I kept thinking no, and for some reason this troubles me… The Hubbs ordered the Texas Skillet. There wasn’t a whole lot going on as far as the veggies that should have been included and the«steak» was really a «steak-um.»(You know, that quick-cook philly meat?) His eggs were cooked to order, too. So compromise, right? Neither one of us were blown away or had the desire to come back ASAP. The prices are fair, but for what you pay(around $ 9 per plate, coffee is $ 2.40 per) I was expecting a little more effort and freshness. We both agreed that we may consider giving them a second try. Maybe since they do seem to able to cook an egg, the omelettes will be good. I’ll definitely NOT order the potatoes. If I do revisit, I’ll be sure to update!

This was the best breakfast I have ever had in chattanooga. Service was great as the servers seem to help each other and worked as one big team. During my breakfast I had 4 different people interact with me. The Colorado omelette was amazing as were the hash browns. The wheat toast was thick and hearty and perfectly toasted. If you like breakfast you must go here. This place is locally owned and that makes me happy too. When the plate arrived it looked as if it was staged for a photo it was so pretty..
