On an impromptu trip to Chattanooga from Beaufort, SC we stopped here for dinner on our first night in town. We made the right choice! Everything was delicious. The wait staff was very friendly and efficient. We had the rib tips as our appetizer. The mustard BBQ was amazing! I enjoyed 2 glasses of the sloshed housewife… Holy cow those were amazing. Dinner was chicken penne with a side of the maple bacon brussel sprouts and my husband had fish and chips. The penne was fabulous! And those brussel sprouts… Wow! I could have had 2 servings of that as my main course. Even if you’re not a brussels fan, give them a try. My husband loved the fries and he’s very picky about them! He enjoyed his fish, but wished it had a tad more seasoning as he enjoys them plain. Totally wish we had one of these in our town. We would be regulars! We’ll definitely be back when we make our way to Chattanooga again.

I took Eat Sip Walk foodies to taste smoked chicken penne pasta paired with a crisp white pinot! Fabulous! The time before we indulged in rib tips with maple bacon brussels paired with a coffee milk stout. Loved it!

So coming to Chattanooga after a week long vacation, I was treated to a belated birthday dinner here on a Saturday, January 9th night. We came here on a whim but have been dying to try it! My Aunt and Uncle and I arrived around 7:15 and put our name down on the list and then we waited, waited, and waited some more. Mind you, we understood it was a Saturday night but there were people who were coming in after us who were getting seated before us! So I asked the hostess if they took reservations and quickly replied no. With a perplexed look I went back to my waiting party and engaged in a conversation with another couple who complained that they called in with reservations and was told that they don’t accept them but found out if you call in they will put your name on the list(what’s the difference??). So after almost an hour of waiting, we were finally seated. We were greeted by a waitress who let us know this was her first week on the job. We asked for the recommendations on drinks and she said she wasn’t even old enough to drink yet so she was not sure. Now I know I get mistaken for a UTC student quite often and finally transferring my license over to TN, I knew my paper license would be an issue so the waitress called the on duty manager over. I think his name was Dustin(I forgot), but he was the nicest guy ever! He said he once had a paper license too and there was no issue and asked what bought us to the The Feed. I explained it was a belated birthday dinner and he couldn’t believe I was 28! He apologized for the waitress not recognizing my license and I told him I completely understood and it was okay! So, we ordered the buffalo calamari which didn’t taste like spicy flavor you would expect but more so of an Asian sweet sauce coating it. It was really good and you got a lot for your money and it was quickly devoured. My Uncle and I ordered the pot roast which was really good and I loved that it was topped with fried onions for good texture. My Aunt loved the 20 hour brisket sandwich with Brussels sprouts which I got to try. They were sweet with a hint of bacon(Will be recreating at home). After eating the waitress came over and asked me which dessert I wanted. The sweet manager treated me to a free dessert and I picked the bread pudding! It wasn’t too sweet which I liked! The manager came back and thanked us for having dinner and talked for a while with us! Will definitely be back!

Bottled beer could stand to be a little colder. Tremont Burger was a 5 star the first time, but a 3 ½ the next, ordered medium and got well done. My friend ordered the fish and chips and didn’t care for it, said it had to much breading and was doughy. I love the look and the atmosphere, will definitely try it again.

Best place currently on the Southside in my opinion. Bathroom is too small for a crowded place but otherwise it’s the best. Brisket French Dip is fantastic. Bonus they have parking across the street! If you’re not from here please know Chattanooga is not a dense metro area so there are lots of places outside of the downtown area that offer parking.

The restaurant is in a neat older building and has a good atmosphere(except for the top 40 music they play, which is more popular with my 14 year old daughter). The service was good and attentive, and I liked the craft beer selection. However, the food was mediocre at best. I ate there last night and my stomach is still kinda queasy this morning. Maybe we ordered the wrong things, but our two meals were heavy and rather bland, nothing spectacular. I might give it another try, but with so many other good restaurants in the area, Feed is not on my «must return as soon as possible» list.

Absolutely delicious! My husband had the steak special and I had the pan seared chicken. Both were so good! We were visiting Chattanooga from Birmingham and this was the best meal of our trip. The drinks were delicious too! Great décor, very cozy and clean. The service was excellent! Everything I ordered was based off our waiters recommendations and he definitely did not let us down! One of the owners even came by and asked how we liked everything. Would definitely recommend!

The wait was long but well worth it. We tried the pot roast and catfish based on our water’s recommendations and they were both amazing. The pot roast was so tender and flavorful. The catfish was unlike anything I’ve ever had but so much better. They both came with the whipped potatoes that were perfect in every way. The staff is quick and friendly and the bar is huge. Good place and we’ll definitely be back.

First time at FEED was so great. I got the grilled salmon and it came with a side of grilled green beans and corn. It was absolutely delicious. We also got an appetizer of Brussels sprouts and artichoke dip and it came with warm toasted bread. They told us the wait time for a group of 9 would be 45 minutes but it was only around 30! Great service and great food

Fantastic lunch food, wonderful service, a great lively atmosphere, and reasonably priced beer with a solid selection. Could you ask for anything more? Not here! Looking forward to checking out the patio in the summer. Make sure you say hi to the owner Miguel — just met him and he is so nice and has great stories about how the restaurant came to be.

This will be a good, solid main stay on Main. I have been here several times and always a good experience but not over the top. The bar caters to more the trendy beer crowd and since I can’t drink anything carbonated I look for bar that has an interesting mixed drinks menu. Didn’t find that here. My goto food is the Buffalo Calamari that isn’t properly named but very good. It’s more a sweat and sour. If you have a diverse group looking for food I would avoid with the limited menu. But still a solid«let’s chill with a drink» spot.

2.5 stars… The edamame appetizer could have steamed for a while longer. The hummus with chargrilled bread was delicious. My cocktail(had muddled cucumber and mint in it) was also accompanied by a piece of strawberry that had been stuck to the end of the muddle from a previous drink. My husband informed the bartender that I was allergic to berry and without hesitation he told us to always let him know because they use the same muddle for everything and don’t wash it each time, they just set it in water(well when you’re allergic even rinsing it won’t help it needs to be sanitized and cleaned). The bartender made me a fresh drink and was very polite the entire time… kudo’s to him. However, it was already too late since I had taken a sip of the first drink and was left with a facial rash for the remainder of the evening.

One of Chattanooga’s newest restaurants in the heart of the city, with a stunning view of Lookout Mountain from the bar and patio. Service is warm and friendly. From the hostesses to the bartenders to waiters and servers, everybody we encountered had welcoming personalities. Great hospitality. My friend and I were first seated indoors, but decided we wanted to move to the patio when a table was available. Our hostess, Helen, was gracious and we moved to the tavern and ordered drinks(beer and wine). The outdoor patio table was ready as soon as our drinks were served. We paid our tab and moved to our table with a spectacular view. It seemed like the crew did not realize they had new guests in the area, so we had to stop one of the wait staff for attention. She was very apologetic and offered dessert on the house and immediately took our dinner order. Even brought us a sample of the Brussels Sprouts and Bacon side dish to try first. We ordered and I chose the 20 hour Brisket French Dip with a side of Brussels Sprouts and Maple Bacon. My friend ordered Fish and Chips and a wonderfully fresh side salad. I was very pleased with the tender and juicy brisket, topped with caramelized onions and melted cheese, with au jus for dipping. My friend’s fish and chips looked scrumptious and fresh, and she said it tasted just as good. We chose bread pudding with ice cream for dessert, and it was not as tasty as it looked, just ok except for the crunchy top. Again, the patio view is perfect. Only more comfortable chairs are needed. Really great new restaurant!

Damn! I really(really, really really) wanted this place to be good. With the pedigree from Tremomt Tavern and 1885, it sounded so promising. I have had a nearly life-altering BLT at TT as well as some fantastic burgers and fried pickles. 1885, while not quite as good had produced a couple of meals that have been better than average as well. So, I live 2 blocks away and I have been watching this heroic buildout with great anticipation. We waited a few weeks after the initial rush… which was massive, this place has been packed. We finally made the plunge on a weeknight. A table of four took about 45 min to be seated. Service from the host stand was a little standoffish but not horrible. Our waiter was rushed and a little unfriendly but maybe understandable in a packed place… this eventually translated into being pretty absent and still unfriendly. The food: we had ribs… typical for Chattanooga but sub par for any place that serves«real» ribs. Dry, boring, blah. The same held true for the brisket French dip. With 6.5÷10 rating, the Brussels were the highlight but not nearly as good as I make(or any good home chef) makes for a Wednesday night dinner at the house. I will say that the cocktails were a nice surprise . I wish I could give 2.5 stars but so far it is hard to find a reason to round anything up here. It is really like they are not even trying that hard. Ugh. Here is to hoping that all of this mediocrity is just opening month jitters and that they will hit there stride soon. For now, the food around here Clydes, Urban Stack… blow them out of the water,

Great spot to eat in Chattanooga. Huge eating area divided into a large dining room, bar, and patio. The Brussel Sprout Artichoke Dip, Burger, Fish & Chips, and the Pennywise are amazing. Only other menu item I’ve had is the French dip. I love French dips, but this is just okay(beef cut too thick and hickory smoke flavored. Some may love it, but wasn’t what I was looking for).

When we walked into The Feed Co. Table & Tavern a little after 6-ish on a Tuesday night, we were immediately greeted by the hostess, Ellen. She asked where we would like to sit and when I told her that I would be taking food photos, she walked us around until we found a table in the bar area by a window that looked good. She was extremely helpful and friendly! The first thing I noticed was all the gorgeous wood. I especially loved the painted and distressed wood on the walls — I could use some of that for my food photography! Our server, Ashley was at our table almost immediately. We decided on an appetizer, their fried pickled green beans sounded good. I love pickled dilly beans and couldn’t wait to try them fried. The fried pickled green beans were amazing! They were lightly battered, like a tempura and then fried. The green beans were still crisp and slightly chewy and the dipping sauce was perfect. The tang of the pickling was just right and gave it a little something extra. I ordered the fish and chips. The fish was perfectly cooked, moist and still crispy. The fries however were not good. They were very dark and overcooked, and you would expect them to be super crispy being that brown, but they were more soggy than crispy. After looking at some other photos of their fish and chips on Unilocal and Facebook, I can see that their fries don’t always look like this. Though one reviewer did mention that his fries tasted like they had been in the fryer too long and that the portion was small — the same thing that I would say about mine. My husband ordered the catfish with the smoked tomato relish. His was excellent! The mashed potatoes were creamy and delicious. The green beans were lightly cooked, still crisp tender. The catfish was also cooked perfectly. The smoked tomato relish was amazing. It added another dimension to the dish. Overall, we were very pleased. My fries were an obvious miss, but everything else made up for them. I am already trying to plan our next visit so I can get some more of those fried pickled green beans.

Always ready to try a new place. We were able to get a seat right away(around 6:15 on a weekday) which was nice. We dined inside since it was pretty warm outside. The setup inside is nice but it is extremely LOUD inside. It’s all hard surface and all the sound bounces around if I go again I would definitely dine outside. We had the Tremont burger and the 20 hour brisket french dip(asked to hold the onions). The burger was good not great, the bun was delicious and you could taste this was made in-house. The fries weren’t that good and the portion was pretty small. They tasted like they were in the fryer too long. The brisket was good but when it first was delivered it had onions. We returned it and ate some then found the nefarious onions again. They took care of it but it was a minor inconvenience. It’s a new place figuring things out so I took that into consideration. I’m sure I’ll visit again some time.

The owner said this was the second week of operation and they look like they are off to a good start! I didn’t see any empty tables and there were a few folks waiting as I left. For a new restaurant, it feels very established and the menu was solid. The décor is modern sparse with only some tall drapes to absorb the sound, so it was quite loud. Not as bad as Urban Stack, but it was a bit hard to hear the folks across the table. As you face the building(where the Hot Chocolatier used to be – but much larger) there is a «Table» side i.e. inside, and a «Tavern» side which is a large bar area with TVs and even some fun arcade games in the back. As for the food, everyone enjoyed theirs and portions are generous. I got the fish and chips which were quite good. The fish doesn’t come in long filets, it was three round chunks, but beautiful breading and fluffy white cod meat inside. Definitely didn’t hold up to being dipped in the tartar sauce, so you gotta get sauce on your fork then go after the fish. I was expecting thicker steak fries, but they were thinner«standard» fries, but you won’t hear me complaining, they had good seasoning and the skins on and I ended up eating them without any ketchup since they tasted so good on their own. I shared a side of brussell sprouts and those were VERY good, made with bacon and something sweet; we think either brown sugar or a light molasses. Other diners had the steak salad(they aren’t kidding when they say the dressing is spicy), two had burgers of which they could only eat half they were so large. Chicken fingers and a steak rounded out the rest and everyone was very happy with their meal. Service was amazing and we enjoyed seeing the wait staff in jeans and tshirts, it sets a nice relaxed vibe. The owner stopped by and chatted for a bit and overall I would highly recommend this place! It’s rare that we have tried a restaurant so soon after opening that already had that something«extra» going for its menu, but we didn’t experience a single bump. I will say that I was disappointed that a $ 4 tasting platter wasn’t available anymore(already.) It seems they are reworking it. I loved it because of the small price, but hopefully they will come out with something good that’s not too much more.

New restaurant and bar that just opened about a week ago. Opened in August of 2015 this is Chattanooga“s newest bar/restaurant on Main Street. This area is becoming more popular than Market Street. I couldn’t believe it. When I first turned on Main Street I was met with a traffic jam. I never seen so many cars going to the new businesses on this street before. It is the simple truth: I might just start coming to Main Street instead of Market Street when I want to go out. menu items ordered: Sloppy Joe, French fries and a coke. The Sloppy Joe tasted just like my «mama“s sloppy joe». Now they added a little mustard to it which I began to like the more I ate it. I’m definitely coming back again. This is the«hot spot» to come to right now in Chattanooga if you ask me. I may not be going to Market Street anymore. Yes, Main Street is where you will find me on the week ends.

We went in the other night really hungry and excited to try this place. No one at all waiting in front. But they are still working out the kinks, which is acceptable from any new restaurant. We were told there would be a 1.5 hour wait due to the kitchen being backed up. They said we could sit at the bar if there were seats. There was none. There were two seats overlooking the kitchen, but I guess we couldn’t sit there. So we took some pics and got out of there. Clyde’s was charging a cover, so we wound up at Big River at Hamilton Place for dinner. Feed Co. somewhat reminded us of Acme Feed in Nashville, except Acme sucks. Servers here were really hustling. And we saw Dustin(whom we know from the famous Tremont Tavern) supervising — a good thing. But a similar atmosphere to Acme. Wood everywhere. Antique metal stuff everywhere. The trash can in the restroom was a challenge to open. The sink in the restrooms was one of those hipster versions about four inches deep. You can barely get your hands under the stream of water without hitting the bottom of the sink. Update! We went there this afternoon for lunch. If you go in for lunch, you need to enter the«Tavern» entrance and not the«Table» entrance, which is the entrance for the dining area. They try to do lunch in the bar area. When we walked over from the«Table» entrance through the restaurant, I guess we surprised them, because it took them a while to figure out where we came from. An odd situation where they have a lot of communal seating(unless you sit at bar). So they are reluctant to put you at your own table if you are a party of two. But they did. Outside seating might be different. Lots of people eating outside Our server was John, really friendly and a great server. We ordered the hummus app and the brisket French dip. The hummus came with only four slices of bread for a lot of hummus. We ran out of bread before hummus, so John brought us some more. I would put six slices of bread with the hummus. Hummus app was good. Wife got coffee and really liked it. Then out came the brisket French dip. OMG! It was incredible!!! One of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had. Just fill that au jus cup to the top instead of halfway! Fries were excellent and hot. I never get hot fries! Everything coming out of the kitchen looked incredible. You can get a bread basket by request. The last thing I need with my figure, but I love bread. I believe John said they use Niedlov’s here. No comparing the food, service, atmosphere of Feed Co. and Acme Feed. We have it all over Nashville, as usual! P. S.: You can use the lot marked CraftWorks across the street for parking.
