Best burgers in Chattanooga! I love the fact that you can come in, sit wherever you want and just enjoy your food. Nothing on the menu is complicated and the atmosphere is very relaxed. I had the havarti burger and it was amazing! The meat was cooked to perfection and the veggies were fresh and crunchy. I had a side of tater tots, which were delicious and for appetizers we ordered their chicken strips, which were cooked on the spot and tasted amazing. My only complain would be the fact that they don’t have turkey patties like before. I think that for some of us that don’t really want to eat meat all the time, the turkey would have been a great substitution. Nevertheless, they do carry a black bean patty which I hear is delicious and their regular meat patties are incredible. Tremont is the place to go in Chattanooga for burgers — hands down!

I don’t get burgers anywhere else now. The chorizo burger is my favorite — I’ve never had anything like it. Good beers too.

This is hands down my husband and I’s go to spot in Chattanooga. You can’t go wrong with any burger on the menu. It’s always crowded so you have to be willing to wait and also willing to really watch for a seat. This is often a deterrent for new folks but I promise it is worth the wait! My go to is a Fat Tire beer and a Chuck Fisher burger.

Great Pub atmosphere, best tots in town, good food, service, nice selection of suds. The Jalapeño BURGER is one of my favorites.

Visited the newly expanded TT this evening. Service only slightly better. Burgers still good. But I think my wife is right when she says Main Street Meat’s are better. Still using plates too small for amount of food. But at least we got a good serving of fries. The new section was packed with people. I’d love to give it five stars, but it doesn’t deserve five stars. They have a growing collection of soccer scarves on the wall. Pretty cool to see one from good olé Hixson High. State soccer champs in 1988. On the way to the state title, we beat McCallie, Baylor, Oak Ridge, and Memphis White Station. Those days are gone, but nice to see a Hixson soccer scarf on the wall here as a reminder of what we used to be – and could be again. OK – 4.5 stars for TT.

Food, is great. Our server making my party feel as though we are trouble and interfering with her time, which one would asume while she is clocked in, is her job. Will report back as to her willingness to do said job.

Literally the best burger I’ve ever had in my entire life. Got the burger with a fried egg on it, asked them to add bacon and my life was forever changed. Amazing food. Solid fries. Great atmosphere. Can’t wait until the renovations are done.

I haven’t even been here yet, I am thinking about moving to the area. Looking at the beer, the promotions and the fact that they know how to make a Cuban Sandwich lets me know I should be leasing a small apartment close by! From an online perspective I can not wait to become a friend of this bar!!!

Tremont Tavern is definitely a Chattanooga staple. Definitely the best neighborhood bar with a warm pub-like atmosphere. By far the best burgers in town and an impressive beer selection. Sit at the bar to meet some friendly locals, or grab a table to hang out with friends. Fun staff and service combined with seriously delicious food makes for an awesome place.

Solid, cozy bar. Plenty of TVs. Great beer selection. Didn’t eat food but I hear the burgers are great. Just keep in mind it’s small and popular so it can be crowded.

I am stingy with 5 stars. This place nailed awesome burgers. The fries were great too. The serviced was fast and very friendly. The burger was ordered medium and cooked perfectly medium. I would definitely come back to this place and recommend it to others without hesitation. If I had one gripe, it was that the music was a little loud.

Remember that time you went to that beach bar just looking to get a bite, but when you got there everyone knew each other, and they were super friendly; one thing led to another, and you left at midnight ready to move to the neighborhood? No? Come here. You’ll know what I mean(minus the beach).

Yeah, I know, another great review about the burgers. But seriously! They are that good! HUGE. I got the Coltrane, which is their burger with a fried egg on it. Oh My Gawd! To die for. The burger is thick, like you can’t pick it up whole and eat it. At least I couldn’t. I cut it in half first and then cut it again into quarters so I could eat it all! I actually still only had half the burger. The fried egg was perfection. Running gooey egg yolk and making my tummy so happy. The meat was really good. I can’t believe how moist it was. Not greasy, certainly not dry, but really moist. Great burger flavor. Also, you must get the french fries. They are delish! Have yummy seasoning on them that are like sealed in. Crunchy and so good. I saw lots of people getting tots but really the fries are the bomb! Someone even wrote on the bathroom wall, «Get the fries, you won’t regret it.» LOL!

I’ve been trying to get into this place for months. It’s always packed when I go by. Parking is not easy to find and it’s a small establishment. I got off early one day and lo and behold, it wasn’t packed and I found a close parking spot. It has a very cool divey atmosphere and appears to be a local hangout for many. Looks like they have quite a selection of beers(I didn’t drink any that day). I ordered the Jalapeño Jack burger. When I got it and took a bite, I have to say, it was the absolute best burger I’ve had in years. It had that great off-the-grill taste and all the add-ons were totally fresh! It came was some very flavorful steak fries as well. I will be back if I can get in! It was well worth the wait!

We’ve lived in Chattanooga for 12 years plus but have never been to this place. Lately we’ve heard a lot of good things about their burgers so my wife and I decided to give it a try. I had the Coltrane burger. Basically a cheese burger all the way with a fried egg on top. The buzz is right… Burgers are a hand full and delicious! I had a side of tator tots and the local spring IPA to round out my mid afternoon meal. My wife had the Gouda burger and couldn’t finish it. Too much food for her. We sat at the bar and watched the spring college football games. This place is a hole in the wall but people are friendly and food and beer is excellent. I wouldn’t have guessed that burgers of this quality would be served in a neighborhood bar like this but I was wrong. I would highly recommend this place for a casual beer and a bite to eat.

I love the food at Tremont Tavern. I’ve been going here for a few years now and everything I’ve ever tried here has surprised me in how tasty it is. If you’re looking for a good food/beer spot with your friends, try this one out. I had the Cuban with a beer from Foothills this last time through. The Cuban was one of the very few I’ve had that gets the bread right. It’s an amazing little sandwich with the right mix of juicy pork, melty cheese, pickles, and mustard. I usually have the Chicky Goats Gruff or one of the burgers but the Cuban is a new happy meal for me. Pros: Food is super tasty! The beer is local and cold and the people are always pretty cheerful. Cons: It’s tight in there. If it’s winter and you get one of the table spots by the door, you should probably wear a parka in for your burger and beer. Overall: Love this spot and it’s always a favorite to bring a friend to in order to surprise them with the food stuffs. Also, on Wednesdays, they have beer tasting nights which you can get a tasting of a beer for free. The other night specials are pretty good but Wednesdays are my favorite. Go and enjoy their sandwiches with tater tot happyness!

The Unilocal reviews weren’t lying: Tremont Tavern serves up one of the most mouthwatering and insanely delicious burgers I have ever wolfed down. Forget reviewing the ambiance(a total hole-in-the-wall bar/dive with limited parking), the service(casually impersonal but not uncomfortably so), or the sides(I had a mountain of freezer-to-deep-fryer tater tots. They were crisp and piping hot and sheer childhood nostalgia). IT’S ALLABOUTDATBURGER. I perched myself at the bar, and ordered the Jalapeño Jack burger. Do yourself a favor, order the burger exactly as-is on the menu: don’t modify it, omit or add. It was one of the most delectable and flawlessly executed burgers I have ever had. This burger was perfect — there was literally nothing that could have been improved: an outrageously juicy, flavorful, glorious ½ pound of beef, PERFECTLY cooked(I ordered mine medium-well and it was drippy-juicy without being greasy, a perfect exterior with just that slight strip of pink ribboning the center. Lovely, sturdy leaf lettuce that didn’t wilt under pressure; juicy tomatoes, a perfect crunch and just right amount of red onion and sliced fresh jalapeños(not overpowering at all), melty pepper jack cheese, thick gorgeous chewy-crisp bacon, all delicately complemented with a yummy cilantro dressing. OHMYGODEPICFLAVOREXPLOSION. A huge pet peeve of mine is when an otherwise perfect burger is served on a crap bun — the bun’s importance shouldn’t be ignored! I don’t like overly-heavy, bread-y or hard bread. But, I HATE cheap, flimsy, tissue-y mass-produced buns that disintegrate into inedible mush at the first contact with meat or produce. Well, even Tremont Tavern’s bun choice is perfect: fluffy and light, brioche-like, but with a chewy protective crust that held up to the juicy burger and loaded fillings up to the last few bites(which at this point, it didn’t matter, I was elbows deep and licking my fingers at this point). So, so good, burger and tots(more than I could possibly eat, and dammit I TRIED), + diet Coke came to $ 11. I am eager for my next meal there, because I will definitely be returning the next time I am in Chattanooga.

Tremont Tavern is known for their burgers. Well I agree as I will have to come back. I came here to sit down and order my cheeseburger, chips and coke. Instead, I had to get it to go because they were over full capacity on a Sunday. It looks like mostly college students come here if you ask me. The bar was full, tables were full and there was two couches full too where somebody was already seated on them too. My cheese burger was cooked at medium. Next time, I will get it well done because it taste Better. I got my cheese burger with lettuce, pickle, onion, cheese, tomatoes, mustard and mayonnaise on it. It was delicious. I got chips today to go with it and they were to die for as they were that good. In summary, I will come back here later in the week to visit again. This Tavern is a definite recommend for burger fans. The Tavern is small in size so you might have to get it to go like I did. I’m just saying.
