This place is awesome. The pork ramen is my favorite. The nigiri sushi is also fantastic!

I was excited to try this place, and although good, it didn’t live up to the hype I had heard. I got the veggie ramen. I had been craving good ramen for a while. The broth was full of flavor, but there was something off about it. I have no idea what it was. The service was good. Everyone at the table seemed to enjoy their food, but it didn’t seem overwhelming. I would probably go back with a group, but probably wouldn’t choose it on my own. For me, it was an okay to average experience. I give four stars because the staff were friendly and helpful.

Could have sworn I did a review already but guess not. I had been anxiously awaiting my turn to get to go to Two Ten Jack. I love ramen and the concept of this place is right up my alley. I love to try a bunch of different tastes and so the small bites that you order really satisfied that. I can’t remember specifically all the items we ordered. I do remember it was a lot of pork and salt. LOL. Next time will definitely mix it up more but they were all delish. I do remember the roasted brussels sprouts dish. Oh my that is heaven. I already love BS and this just took it to the next level. I did order the ramen(pork) and it was good. I would try the veggie one next time. The cocktails were wonderful and the décor and ambiance of the place is so cool. Very hipster but not snooty. I felt very comfortable and our server was great at explaining the concept and going through our choices with us. Definitely going back.

Two Ten Jack has always impressed me with their quality and quickness. Happy hour is a nice addition to this already fantastic restaurant. If you want authentic Japanese food and a unique atmosphere, Two Ten Jack is for you!

Here’s the scoop, we do happy hour here. Where I work, the Bitter Alibi, is a few blocks away and its just too convenient to simply go home after work. Evan was tending bar and did a fantastic job taking care of us. We snagged some edamame and spent about 3 hours too long at the bar. We can’t complain. Check it out for awesome ramen, batch cocktails, and some phenomenal service. Cool. We done here? Sure.

Wandered into Two Ten Jack for a very late lunch today and enjoyed a great noodle bowl. The other three folks I ate with got various bento boxes and they all were impressed too. The service was excellent and the basement location is eclectic and fun. The only down fall, and what takes my rating down to 4 stars, is that $ 17+ for ramen noodles, a glass of water and a tip in NYC, DC, San Fran or LA is one thing, but Chattanooga? Sorry, too high a price for this.

Basements are my jam. You can tell a lot about a place by how they light a place and how friendly the staff is. Sarah was the tender of bar this magical Monday afternoon. Ordered some tasty beers, batch cocktails, and ramen that made my pen pal’s ears perk up. The space is really cool. Great music, modern space, and tasty grub. Don’t feel intimidated when you can’t understand anything on the menu. Close your eyes, point, and you won’t feel disappointed. Cool. That was fun. Elite status here I come!!!

Two Ten Jack fits in perfectly in trendy Warehouse Row with its hipster-inspired décor and old school rap tunes spinning in the background. Our waiter patiently explained the menu to our group, even accounting for our very different tastes. The menu features a wide range of items, including sushi rolls, yakitori, modern Asian small plates, and ramen. The food comes to the table as soon as it comes out of the kitchen, which can be a bit problematic for a group, though it would be ideal for a couple of people sharing plates. Even after reading some iffy reviews, I went ahead and ordered the spicy chicken meatball ramen. While it wasn’t as spicy as I had hoped, it was still excellent. Filled with tiny mushrooms, green kale, and half of a soft boiled egg, it tasted fresh and delicious. The noodles weren’t too soggy and the broth was salted perfectly. Overall, we had a great experience and I would come back in a heartbeat.

This place is a short walk from work for me. I have a love/hate relationship with it. It has some great options for a vegan, something I always appreciate. I especially like the Lucky Belly sushi rolls and the crispy brussel sprouts. Good stuff. I’m almost always irritated by the service. Nice people, but so very inept. Example — tonight I got my meal quickly, my wife’s meal came out 30 minutes later. She asked for a fork because she doesn’t do chopsticks. It took several requests. Another time I went in and the waiter disappeared before he even took our order. When he came back, he said, «Sorry I got into a conversation with a buddy.» Well, I guess I should admire his honesty. The staff seems like a bunch of people you’d like to know, but they’re so lackadaisical in their approach that it rankles. I hope they step it up, we need more restaurants with a little bit of an edge in Chattanooga

Gross. I’ve heard good things galore, but after eating the food I am now questioning my friends’ taste in general. We had sashimi for appetizer. Delicious though overpriced and not as good as Totto. I ordered the vegan ramen. Decent flavor on the broth, but not very complex. The kale and burnt corn were good. The noodles are horrible. My boyfriend got the chicken meatball ramen. It tasted like water, McCormick’s chili powder, and lots and lots of chicken fat. It was super spicy. Neither of us could finish our meals. Worst meal I’ve ever had in town. Totally disappointed.

I’ve been dying to try this place since they opened one in Nashville. Talk about over-freakin-rated. One star for the décor and the cool bathrooms and another for trying. Two Ten Jack is a modern take on traditional Japanese food but I’m not about it. We had the spicy burnt miso edamame only bc it’s a check in offer and it was such an unpleasant graininess in my mouth. They really like the«burnt» flavor here /: not to mention. it’s normally like $ 6?! But that’s besides the point because people come here for the ramen. I ordered the Yasai Shoyu, which is a veggie ramen, and was so disappointed. Burnt corn, some kale(??), and undercooked noodles. I understand ramen should be springy but these noodles still had a pretty hard bite to them in the middle. The broth was extremely salty. No depth of flavors, honestly comparable to store bought ramen packages.): We ordered a bottle of sake too and the ramen came out before it. Weird. You’re really just paying for the décor here. Don’t fall for the hype.

A great find on a cold rainy day. Down a flight of concrete steps in Warehouse Row(careful in the rain), inside is warmth and ambiance. The restaurant is pleasantly decorated. The staff are all very friendly. We had JFC(Japanese Fried boneless chicken) with a side of white rice($ 4 is a Little pricey for rice), and the tori paitan shoyu, which is a medium-spicy broth filled with noodles, meatballs, mushrooms and sliced soft-boiled eggs. The draft ale was of a great body and flavor. Don’t have it if you need to drive soon afterwards!

5 friends had dinner and drinks last night. Not a drinker myself– I had coffee which they made fresh from a Keurig. Small cups. Water glasses — small — no ice. Crispy Brussel Sprouts were good — loaded with garlic. No romance after that. Had the 2 – 10 Salad. it was Ok. The whole idea — is that this is a Japanese Tavern — not for the big southern eater. Lite eating — small plates. No One got the noodles which may be the best seller. Ladies enjoyed wine and brandy. I think it is best for getting out of the crowd to a more intimate dark quiet setting where you can talk and share a drink with some light food.

The server recommended all my meals from appetizer to drinks.. the best recommendation ever. Although I didn’t see any kids anywhere, my 3 and 4 year old loved all the food. The pork belly yakitori is to die for. Would’ve gone every week but live 3 hours away.

This restaurant is expensive for frugal college students, but it’s definitely worth your money. You are not only paying for the food, but for the experience which will absolutely leave you satisfied. To make you love something you thought you’ve always hated is one of the areas where Two Ten Jack succeeds. I’ve always hated Brussel sprouts, but they were able to transform it into a delicious concoction of a small dish that would’ve been served in Heaven itself — and that was just the appetizer! The ramen was authentic AF and the sushi was unusually yummy(unusual because it was cubed sushi instead of round). I was highly impressed by the friendly and efficient service. Marcel was very nice and brought out our food right when we asked for it so everything tasted fresh. Lastly, this is definitely a great place for first dates and the dates after that because the restaurant is absolutely stunning.

If you are a blogger who reviews restaurants and takes photos of your food, the first thing you notice about Two Ten Jack’s at Warehouse Row in Chattanooga is that while the restaurant is gorgeous, it is also very dim. My first photos are very dark, but we eventually just stood up and held the plate of food under one of the spotlights. We arrived on a Saturday about 5 pm and were the second couple in the restaurant. There is a large bar area and then a sort of an L-shape of tables around the bar with bench seating on one side and chair seating on the other. Unfortunately this means that one person is facing the wall. There is a large center area out in the open, but they were not seating people there at that time, though by the time we left there were some people out there. Kent was our waiter and he was very helpful in explaining the menu and making recommendations. The menu is composed of a set of small plates, finally culminating in the ramen at the lower right. He suggested we start at the top left and simply work our way around, trying one or two dishes from each section. We did that, and by the time we got to the ramen, we were too full! Next time(and there will be a next time) — we will try one or two of our favorites from the small plates and then have the ramen. From the Maki section, we had the Yon Sakana. It was an amazing cucumber roll. All of the flavors blended perfectly. From the Specialty Sashimi section we had the wa-ceviche. It was sweet with some heat. Perfectly balance with a bit of nuttiness from the seeds. Next we moved on to the section labeled«Small Plates» and had the Shishito Peppers. Our server warned us that while most of the peppers were mild, there might be one or two hot ones. We found about two each. Again, the flavors were amazing. Amongst the peppers were sweet figs and honeyed peanuts. Also, in the Small Plates section, we tried the Salmon Nanbanzuke. This was perfectly cooked salmon served with a creamy kewpie slaw, tartar sauce and a spicy sweet and sour sauce. Everything again was excellent. We ended at the Yakitori section of the menu, settling on the pork belly and the skirt steak. The pork belly was served with a mustard ponzu sauce and was delicious. The skirt steak was served with a sorghum soy sauce — which according to my notes was amazing! One of our more adventurous meals and we loved every minute of it. We will definitely be back for the ramen!

I surely would have rated them much higher(and even though it’s silly), I might have even found their food tastier if the service had been better. It was our first visit and we were looking forward to it as it’s been well received since it’s opening. As usual, the sweetie and I sat at the bar. Came in about 6PM on a Friday, the bar was somewhat lively and the rest of the place was pretty empty– they obviously hadn’t gotten their Friday night rush yet. When the bartender could finally be bothered to wait on us, he came over and said«Drinks?» Um, yeah, dumb@ss, that’s why we’re sitting here! But really– No talk of specials, no descriptions of what looked to be draft cocktails, nothing. Wow. The sweetie and I both ended up choosing menu cocktails. The cocktails were delivered and were pretty well done. We’ve been to a number of cocktail bars and these were comparable in quality. What wasn’t comparable was the level of service or lack professionalism of the bartender… I was super annoyed to have to ask for food menus, make multiple requests for water, not get hot/chilled towels, not even get a coaster or beverage napkin under our drinks, have to ask for utensils… You get the point. And the point is that our bartender just wasn’t particularly concerned with providing us great service. All of this being said though, we did enjoy the food we ordered. The rolls were good, but next time we’re hankering for sushi in town we’ll probably head to Sekisui instead. TTJ really shines on their small plates– we were especially enthusiastic about the gyoza and Brussel sprouts. And if the sweetie says the sprouts were his favorite thing we ate that night, they must be awesome! Additionally, I would be remiss if I didn’t mention that all the other people we came into contact with during our visit(from the host to food runner to bar back) were quite pleasant. Our hope is that this was a one time fluke and intend to return… And though it would make us sad, perhaps this is just one of those places where we don’t sit at the bar. We’ll see.

I’m always ready to check out a new restaurant(as long as it’s not southern/soul food or BBQ) and was excited when the opportunity came to have dinner here. The décor is trendy and modern, I liked it. We were greeted by a nice host and he was very pleasant and went along with my attempts at humor. We were seated right away with no wait(on a Friday at 8:30PM) which was great. The menu is creative and focused on interesting items, rather than a huge list of everything and anything. We had some yakitori and small plates. I originally wanted to order ramen but the server advised that best practice and for the most positive experience I should wait until I’m ready to eat the ramen before ordering. I wanted the ramen to come with the small plates. This was good advise as I would not have been able to enjoy the ramen as I was stuffed from the small plates. We ordered pork belly, pork gyoza, crispy brussels sprouts, and some other stuff. The brussels sprouts were very good and the best brussels sprouts I have ever eaten. The server was decent, gave good guidance and is still learning the ropes. It appears that this is a chain restaurant as there is one in Nashville as well. I know we’ll come back because I never had a chance to try the ramen.

Where have you been all this time? Down the stairs are Warehouse Row apparently. We found out about this place from Chef George, a great guy. He convinced us to give the place a try swearing they had the best vegan ramen on the globe. Well, that is saying a lot. I am frankly not sure. But I do know it was some pretty tasty ramen. We started with a hot house sake and did the Avocado appetizer and the Shitake appetizer. Both we very good. The ramen was brought out and the noodles were very good. Broth was layered in taste and well oily and had enough unami. Not an easy task for a veggie broth but they did it. Ambience is cool. Service was spot on. Prices are not cheap, but well worth it.
