Dr. Huffman is a great doctor and you will receive great care, but man are you going to work for it. Dr. Huffman is brilliant. He is very, very knowledgeable about his field and research. He takes a detailed history and looks at the big picture, while also paying attention to the small details. He also tries to make sure you understand those details along the way and also that you understand his diagnosis. He’s not satisfied with just treating symptoms, he wants you to achieve your best outcome and state of wellness. The downside: Dr. Huffman is extremely soft spoken. It’s nearly impossible to hear what he is saying. The staff warned me about this on my first visit, still nothing they could have said would have prepared me for how quiet he is. To make things worse, the waiting room is extremely loud. The door squeak, the staff is loud(though very nice), the TV is always on. You go from loud, busy room to trying to hear the quietest doctor on earth. Also, Dr. Huffman is very thorough and likes to take time with every patient. This is fantastic when you are seeing him, but it also means you will be waiting a long time. Every time. On my last visit, I was called to a room 1 hour and 5 minutes after my scheduled appointment time. There I waited another 20 minutes before seeing the doctor. So. Great doctor I would highly recommend, comes with some downsides, both of which they will warn you about on your first visit, which, by the way, you’ll have to schedule 5 – 6 months in advance!
