I usually go to the Pepboys on Gunbarrel, much to my dismay (poor customer service, very long wait time) so I was excited when I learned Valvoline did synthetic oil changes. The customer service was superb! 3 gentlemen worked on my car and they were all kind, patient, and spoke clearly (important to me since I don’t know a lot about cars). They let me know some other parts of my car I needed to get checked since I’m over 100,000 miles, but they didn’t try to guilt me into performing it all in one visit, which I appreciated.
The prices were a bit higher than Pepboys (I imagine because it’s an instant oil change place and I typically have a Pepboys coupon) but it’s more than worth it for me. Pepboys takes all day; I was at Valvoline for less than 20 minutes, and there was a car in front of me.
Great experience. I just found my oil change place!

These guys are always quick and friendly. Even when there’s a long line, it’s never more than 10 – 12 minute wait per car. Thanks, guys!

Wow! What awesome service! I usually get my oil changes at one of their competitors, but they weren’t open on Sunday and well… I should have gotten an oil change long before I did and it was certainly overdue. The place was really hoppin’ (maybe everybody else needed a last minute oil change too?) but the fine gents at Valvoline kept things running smoothly. They were courteous, efficient and did a great job. It took longer to get in than the service itself took… And they even came out to my car while I was in the line to keep me abreast of how much longer it would be!
Oh, don’t forget to hunt coupons on the web before you go. I found a number of them, but the best one brought the price down by over 50%. They happily honored my coupons, no attitude– just smiles and wonderful service.
