Checkers… I have a love hate relationship with this place. First my loves! Quick and efficient service, my orders are never wrong. The chicken sandwiches are soooo good and by far the best, freshest fast food chicken I’ve had yet(bonus for no chewy pieces). The fries remind me of Arby’s curly fries only they aren’t curly and they are fresher and crispy. Now for the hate… I am not a fan of the walk up window. The night I went it was sooooo cold! So so so cold. I suppose it was my fault for walking up but still. The next thing I’m not a fan of are the burgers. Let me start by saying I judge all ff burgers by McDonald’s cheeseburgers(don’t be a hater!).and these are nothing like those. They remind me more of Burger King and that fake flame broiled flavor and texture… the milkshake was awful! I chose strawberry and it was super sweet. you know when they are so sweet you have to keep clearing your throat? Yeah not good. So I will pass on the burgers and the milkshakes but that’s ok! Because that only means more room for chicken sandwiches and fries :)

I think I will stick to Burger King or McDonald’s haven’t been here since they first opened and I’m sure it was because of the customer service it’s the worst!!! Now this place only has an walk up window or drive through so we(my daughter & I) decided to walk up OUR fault 1st reason: it was an cold windy fall nite. 2nd reason: apparently the staff here isn’t big on this walk up window as it was about 7 workers inside no one acknowledged us for the longest time when they FINALLY did(the manager) took our order so hurriedly as if we were a bother or maybe he didn’t want that cold air blowing in on him! Any way we finally got our food as we counted 4 cars order and leave it was ok can’t complain about dollar burgers but the fries were only Luke warm all the way for me, I live to far to drive all the way to Cheektowaga for crappy service and so-so food.

Is it so friggin hard to include the sauce for the chicken strips? Especially when you asked for 2 and got none. Dumbasses.

New restaurant in the Buffalo West Seneca area, I ordered the Roadhouse Bacon combo. My medium drink was missing 2 inches of soda and my take out bag had no napkins? The sandwich was very good and cheesy. Fries were awesome, hot and crispy. I would definitely go again but I’ll check my stuff before I pull off.

Absolutely love this place. Yea its just another fast food joint but the menu is so diverse you never run out of things to try and the prices on some items are super low. For a burger place I find the burgers there my least favorite thing on the menu but the fries, chicken bites, shakes, mozzarella sticks, sundaes etc more than make up for it. Obviously not a health food place but a great place for a tasty treat. My favorite is the $ 2 chicken bite box with buffalo wings sauce(nice sized box of popcorn chicken that comes with fries for only two bucks) and a chocolate shake(snack size is a good portion for like a buck fifty). Chicken, fries, and a shake for $ 3.50, delicious and can’t beat that price. The loaded fries are killer and the bigger burgers are great too(not a huge fan of the small ones but those big fancy ones are awesome). You can even get fresh made to order regular pizzeria style chicken wings there too with all different kinds of sauces. Like I said, the menu just goes on and on so its far more than your average drive up burger joint.

I have been infatuated with checkers sense 06′ in Atlanta. Their menu is diverse from burgers to hotdogs, wings, and funnel cakes. A wonderful place to go for the whole family. Their drive in style fast food is good for its intended purpose or to eat at a picnic adjacent to the restaurant.

It’s a take out/drive thru fast food burger joint. You get the idea. The burgers are in my taste, better than the other big three. Might be because it’s a different place, I don’t know. The frys are seasoned, a plus to be different. The do wings(boned and boneless) too. Draw back, if you aren’t close, it’s the only free standing. The others are on the 90 East and at the Airport. I was passing by, looking for different and bingo. I need to go again to see further about my liking them.

People keep checking me out. I am so sick of it. Just because I do all this work to «keep this a 10» like Mayhem does when he’s a hot girl out jogging. I call people that check me out«Checkers», and I wish I could afford to employ someone to keep them in «Check.» Or even keep them in «Checkers» because then at least they could enjoy some yummy chain food while being kept in Check because of all their Checking-out of me. Anyway. What to order: Any of their chicken sandwiches, maybe a burger possibly, and def. a shake. What else: It’s a chain, it’s fast food, why are you even eating here anyway. So my back story with Checkers is similar to a back story told by a chiropractor. Only not. Speaking of chiropractors, if they’re Egyptian, does that make them Cairopractors? Indeed, is an Egyptian farm vehicle a Cairotractor? Anyway. So when I was a teenager(literally), I was driving an old Pontiac Bonneville — and later a Ford Crown Victoria — around all sorts of southern states having orgasmic fun — sometimes literally — and when in Florida, I was always excited by the race-car-flags of Checkers. I ate a lot of fast food chain food back then, what can I say. I was an impressionable teenager or something. Checkers was always a wonderful little treat, and very exotic, as well as very cheap. You could get 2 burgers for a couple of dollars — one chicken, one beef, and also cheap drinks and shakes. Fast forward a decade(ish) and I was cruising through beautiful tropical exotic palm-tree-lined Cheektowaga(giggle) and what should I see, shining at me with red neon lights, like a beacon in the night… but a brothel. Oh no wait that was in the Nevada desert. So there I see, shining before me, a Checkers. I had to do a double take. Is this seriously a Checkers, I asked myself. In Buffalo? How did it get here from Florida? And why did it take so long? And are they even from Florida? I’ve seen them in Atlanta… but not this far north, ever. Starlight insisted that I do a U-turn and I always do what she says(and I always do what my gf says, as well, btw, even moreso), so I U-turned and went back and ordered some Checkers. To my delight, the menu hasn’t changed drastically and neither have the prices. I got 2 pretty good sandwiches for $ 3 — one was a spicy fried chicken sandwich that I liked. One was a cheesy Cheddar Bacon Burger that I was very surprised to love, even more than the chicken, despite the fact that Checkers is usually best for Chicken. Great fast food sandwiches. In addition to this, I ordered a chocolate milkshake. They have baby size shakes for under $ 2, which is perfect for someone that does a lot of work in the gym as I mentioned in the first paragraph, so I got chocolate, and I loved every sip! Much better than a McDonalds shake, and probably better than a BK shake too, which are actually quite good. Maybe a little too sweet, but not as sweet as a BK shake. Also the girl in the drive thru loved Starlight, and got very squealy and girlie and gushy when she saw my little furry orange ball of love(I mean Starlight, silly). And I love it when girls get gushy, in all kinds of ways. So if you’ve never had a Checkers, come and Checkers it out. You might be surprised, because it is probably a better standard than the awful Wendy’s and McDonald’s that you’re used to. It’s nowhere near as good as NC’s similar chain, Cook Out, not even close… but then very few places are. Nom nom nom. Check out the full adventures of Starlight at Checkers in the three pix I uploaded of her at this location. And enjoy this exotic, southern chain while we have it Buffalo!

I have eaten at several Checkers and Sonic’s all across the country, and I really like their food… I AM a fan. Their food is better than McDonald’s — especially in the value for price category. That said, if you go to this location, Triple check your receipt and order. 3 out of 5 visits so far have resulted in one or more things missing or wrong, and once being charged incorrectly. Another FAIL totally belongs to the Architect on the Project(Carmina, Wood, and Morris). Taking the Store Prototype from the South and just building it here in snow country is ill-advised at best. This is drive though only MOST of the year… because metal outdoor seating just isn’t compatible with Cold weather. This should have at least been suggested that there be SOME provision for the snowy climate this building would have to live in.

We live 5 min away and food was cold. I realize its not a 5 star but i think they need to make some chAnges if they want to compete with our amazing local restaurants. And really their classic cheeseburger was a cold shrunkin beef patty with a slice of cold cheese one pickle that could not have been sliced thinner if anyone tried and a dab of ketchup with stale bun? Tossed in trash & considered it a waste of time going there.

Nothing like some slight late night food regret? Not that this was a bad meal, but once I was in line, I got more than I probably should have to try a variety, but I did it for all of you! I usually avoid chains and fast food, but since this is near me and it was late, I figured I’d try. They are open til 3am during the week and til 4am end of week/weekends. Not really certain why they are open at 9am, but who am I to judge? I pulled in at about 11:30 on Saturday evening. About 4 cars in the drive thru, but then I saw that there were actually two lanes. Not much signage to indicate this. Also to note, there is no indoor seating here, it is either drive thru, or walk up to their counter window. There are some metal tables around the building. If you want to sit out there in your snow suit in January, be my guest! I ended up ordering their basic small Checkerburger with cheese, a 5 piece of the garlic Parmesan wings, and a small strawberry milkshake. Total for $ 10. For the rest of the menu, there are are variety of beef burgers, fish sandwiches, chicken sandwiches/bites/strips, hot dogs with toppings, different variety of wings, seasoned fries, ice cream cones, sundaes, pies, and soft drinks. The burger I had was most similar to the Wendy’s Jr. Cheeseburger as it came with red onion, pickles, lettuce, tomato, and ketchup/mayo. Under $ 2, it was pretty decent for a fast food burger, but was fairly cool in temperature once I made the short drive home. I was most suspicious of the wings, but they somewhat pleasantly surprised me. They didn’t come with anything to dip them in, but the garlic parm flavor was fairly strong. They were pretty decently sized, and cooked until crispy. A little fattier skin than most wings you’d get in a traditional Buffalo pizza place, I would actually get these again. They were piping hot in their package even 5 minutes after I got home. They were like over $ 4.50 for 5 of them though which was a bit of a negative. The shake was just ok. More like a generic McD’s one with artificial flavor. Meh. I am not a fan of seasoned fries, and they do not have a lot of other generic basic sides that aren’t a huge meal in themselves besides that. Lots of variations in the burgers with bacon, cheese, multiple patties. They have combos of various sandwiches as well as «2 for $X» things, but these were just signs on top of lighted menu which I couldn’t see. Drive thru was a little slow, seemed to be just one order holding it up, but it went quicker for the following cars. If I was in the need for quick fast food, I would probably come back here. For having a large menu, wings, and being late night. You could do a lot worse!
