I bought a 14,000 lbs tilt trailer from them yesterday, because It was alot cheaper than similar trailers at other dealers, As I drove off I noticed that the brakes weren’t fully engaging. I took it back to them after using the trailer to go pick up a bed, and they double checked the electrical connections. The owner then hooked the trailer up to his truck, and we took it for a spin(to rule out my truck being the problem). On the drive he acted as if everything was working fine when it obviously wasn’t. The brakes wouldn’t even lock up the wheels when we pulled out the emergency release. He told me that there was nothing else he could do. I had no choice to take the trailer back home, because I had my bed loaded on it. Luckily the brakes got better and better, and after a few hours driving they seemed to work fine. Now I’m nervous that the trailer was built with cut rate material, and that’s why I got it for a cut rate price. It was really disturbing to me that a guy that makes trailers, and sells trailers doesn’t seem to care if they go out of his shop with malfunctioning brakes. I guess Dad was right: «you get what you pay for»
