When I was first seated, I thought this place was going to suck. The other customer’s portion sizes looked tiny and the only thing giving me hope was this giant glass of wine that they poured me. I went here with 5 other people and I was the only one satisfied because of one simple reason. I ordered the Fire Pasta. Everyone else left feeling hungry. This is a nice place and not a place to go for portion sizes. Also everything costs about $ 20

Classy Italian vibe in laid back Chelan. When we came in there was a large bachelorette party having dinner all dressed up and we were still served right away and made to feel at home. Good wine selection, healthy pours and we shared an antipasto plate with some seriously delicious meats and cheeses. The homemade desserts were TO. DIE. FOR.(and I don’t even usually like dessert). Highly recommend you check it out in Chelan. It’s worth it.

We went in the day before Valentines day, it was a Saturday so we expected it to be busy of course. They had a reservation available at 7:45 so we gladly took it. When we arrived it took about five minutes before we got greeted and another 20 – 25 minutes before we got seated. The enterence was a bit awkward as you were sitting/standing there watching people eat right in font of you. When we were seated, it was right under a leak in the ceiling and we were informed we would get moved as soon as another seat became available. Several became available but were never asked if we still wanted to move or not. The food seemed above average but nothing that we would come back for if we lived locally. However, we still had a great date night and enjoyed the atmosphere, perfect lighting with candles and music. We met the owner who introduced herself while we were waiting for our table and she seemed very nice. Hope this helps!

We went here for our 2 year anniversary dinner. The wait staff was very nice. We decided to split an entrée as we had been munching on wine and cheese and crackers all day. We were charged an additional $ 4 for splitting the meal and were not made aware of this cost. For that we would have gone Lady and the Tramp style and just eaten off the same plate! The waitress asked if we were celebrating anything special and we informed her it was our anniversary. We ordered gelato for dessert and it was homemade and delicious! Kind of hoped it would be comp’d as we were celebrating an occasion but, oh well. Not trying to be cheap here just sometimes that is a nice touch that keeps you coming back. All together It was a romantic location and yummy dinner.

I am disappointed to have to write this review. The service & friendliness were good. This restaurant was referred to us but they didn’t live up to expectations. I’m not sure I think the quality of the food was worth the price. We also ordered dessert to-go and were told the tiramisu was delicious. When we got home there was no tiramisu. When we called the restaurant, our server told us that they didn’t have tiramisu(by inference, they ran out). That happens; I get it. But she neither told us when we ordered it and it was a bit annoying that we were also charged for it. While we were told we’d be credited the cost, it never should have come to this.

I really wanted to like this place, but it just wasn’t happening. Everything from the service to the food was below average. The waitress was friendly but too slow! We sat down for about 30 minutes before bread was brought to the table and our order was taken. It took over an hour for them to bring us our meal after they took our order. We ordered apps, but even that took forever. Why does it take so long to bring a salad?! As for the food… I tried to feel better about it was not authentic at all. Comparable to Olive Garden at best. The salmon, which was recommended to us by the waitress, was far from fresh, tasted like the frozen kind that I put in the microwave. To top it off, they put feta cheese on it, now that makes no sense! The Tuscan stew was ok but flavors were off, over seasoned with dry oregano. I guess that was their version of making something an «Italian» dish. Finally the chicken Marsala… The worst of all. The sauce was sweet and again flavors were off. Each dish came with a little potion of pasta … Again, just average. We saw other tables with seemingly great deserts but we didn’t order because we didn’t want to wait a another hour for desert. We went and got ice cream instead, the best part of the night!

I asked for a recommendation from the waiter and he suggested the Lasagna. Boy was he right on the money! It was excellent!!! Great food! Great atmosphere! I would definitely eat here again in the future.

Very nice, friendly place. I had the salmon entrée and my friend the warm seafood Caesar. Both excellent. Friendly, attentive wait staff and nice atmosphere. Great wine. Well worth the money. The only thing that was sub par was the bread. They should use the local bakery’s bread.

I really enjoy this place! The food is very good and fresh and they even have gluten-free pasta. The atmosphere is romantic and they play good music! If you are looking for a fine dining place in Chelan where you can dress up, this is the place. The menu is really delicious.

where to start… ok. with the wedge salad… i love garlic and use it in almost everything i cook but all i could taste in the salad was garlic, overpowering raw garlic and nothing else. It was artfully presented, the lettuce was nice and crisp but wow… Next was my lasagne, again, the menu said it had a kick but all i could taste was raw garlic, not the tomato or the seasoned beef, not the several cheeses the menu boasted about… just garlic… raw garlic. on to my wife’s chic picatta, thankfully garlic wasn’t the issue here but all we could taste was lemon. No buttery caper, wine, lemon sauce, just a lot of lemon, it was sour and quite nasty, it was like the chef just fried a piece if breaded chicken, put it on some plain pasta and dumped a bunch if lemon juice on it, and sprinkled it with capers. sorry for the bad review but the whole meal was just plain awful…

So this place is really upscale with a great ambience, but the food isn’t worth the price to be honest. The quality of the food was good, but very bland in flavor. We enjoy bold and savory flavors personally, and found both entrees to be mild and slightly bland. The other review about the fire pasta tasting like Frank’s red hot is accurate. The wine menu is fantastic but overpriced. Service was great though. We won’t return.

I really wanted to like this place. We read some good things on Unilocal which led us there. Our server was wonderful– she was very attentive and knowledgable about the menu and wine. We were very let down by the food. The prices just don’t make sense for what you get. A $ 25 entrée should probably be a little bigger and include a salad. I had the chicken piccata and the sauce was very watery. It didn’t taste like any other chicken piccata I’ve had before. The only reason I’m giving this place 3 stars is because the server was pleasant and the dessert was good! They have good ice cream flavors– we tried the coconut, white chocolate almond and orange creamsicle. I probably won’t return here– I think they need to lower their prices and spend some time on their menu!

I have never had such an annoying waiter as at Andante tonight. He constantly interrupted us throughout the meal and actually brought someone else’s meal for us to look at before he took it to their table. He kept asking if the food was delish. The menu was not exciting. Nearly every dish was chicken. I asked the waiter where the fish for the Tuscan Fish Stew came from as Chelan is so far from the sea. He told me it was frozen and had only been thawed out for two days!!! The restaurant has nice décor but has one-star food.

Great ambiance, amazing wine list, fabulous food. Hubs and I decided to try Andante’s on our last evening in Chelan. Wish we would’ve gone sooner! We loved the chocolate colored walls and large pillar candles spilling wax down the sides. Perfectly charming. The wine list — wow. Almost overwhelming. We had a Cab Franc. Loved it and bought another bottle to bring home with us. The food was excellent. I had the Chicken Marsala and my husband had the meatloaf. Both were fantastic. I want that meatloaf recipe! Sever was perfectly attentive. A simply lovely experience.

We went to Andante for a special dinner and the restaurant was perfect for ambiance and food. We started out with the clams in white sauce. I had the fire pasta while my girlfriend had the Tuscan stew. Both our dishes were excellent. The fire pasta came with breaded chicken that added a nice crispy texture to the spicy pasta. The Tuscan stew had tons of flavor(shrimp, clams, mussels, and cod) which was light yet filling. I would definitely recommend Adante to friends and family visiting Chelan.

Strong drinks and amazing food. We didn’t wait for anything! Ask for David — he knows his stuff! Fire pasta was extra creamy and spicy. Loved it and will be back!

Great ambiance, but the good does not follow suit. Ordered the Fire pasta(basically Franks Red hot with cream sauce) and lasagna. Both of them were not good. We started the night out watching the very young kid server«cleaning» the water glasses by breathing on them and wiping them off. I’m sure he meant well, but we lost our appetite. Our dinner salad had great flavor, but the hair kind of ruined it. Basically a fancy atmosphere was all that place had going for it. Nice waitress too :)

Aug 4th, 2013 Well my hubbie did good on this one! While in Chelan and celebrating our 24th Anniversary he picked this restaurant knowing my love of Italian food. Very elegant and atomosphere was great. we started by ordered 2 cocktails, The server switched our drinks by mistake, mine was blue and hubbies was green, but by the taste we quickly figured out whose drink was whose, GREAT drinks, stiff but tasty, we got our moneys worth on these. Hubbie ordered wedge salad and it came with a garlic gorgonzola dressing that was to die for! we even got some dressing to go! I ordered the chicken parm, it was piping hot and delicious! Hubbie ordered«Fire Pasta» and it was Spicey! Both dishes highly reccommended! Service, food, drinks, were Perfect! We will be visiting again
