Just not impressed at all! The three of us went for breakfast on June 21, 2016. When the food arrived it was awful! Everything comes from a bag! The hash browns were super soggy, the bacon was greasy and limp, the sausage patties were cheap, greasy and too salty! The iced tea is from a premix and tasted like it had too much citric acid in it! The only reason I am giving it two stars is because they offered gluten free toast and a nice tasty selection of all-natural jams. We told the cashier that we had awful food and she was not even stunned! Almost as if she has heard the same complaint over and over! We will not be back!!!

Always good food and service here. Been here many times over the years. Large portions, wish we had shared because we all ended up wasting a lot of food because we couldn’t finish… great coffee too :-)

The Apple Cup is consistently good. Dependable. A Chelan mainstay. The service is AWESOME! We love the Apple Cup Café!

Apple Cup is straight up adorable and was exactly what we needed after our travels from Colorado. The menu is incredibly broad and has options for all. We opted for a chicken salad sandwich and a rueben, followed up with fresh apple crisp al a mode. The chicken salad was literally some of the best I have ever had and I’m so sad I live far away and can’t have that on a whim! My dining companion said the rueben was also amazing. The apple crisp was the real winner of the lunch, however. It was simply divine! If you’re a tourist, do yourself a favor and enjoy some of Washington’s fresh apples in either the crisp or the pie. Great place for lunch!

Great home style cooking! generous portions! reasonably priced menu! Breakfast all day. Last night I had meatloaf with real mashed potatoes… a bucket of delish clams for appetizer .today for breakfast I had a Florentine omelet fresh mushrooms & spinach. Good Variety on the menu! Definitely recommend!

A good, reliable, nice, clean local café. Good food, good service, reasonably priced. It is a good local place, not a tourist trap. If you’re in Chelan for breakfast, try the Apple Cup Café.

We normally come here for breakfast, but since we had breakfast at our hotel, we decided to come for dinner with the kids. We were greeted promptly and seated right away. I had a pretty good Caesar salad, but the chicken was a bit over done. They have a pretty good menu for kids, smiley face pancake, chocolate chip pancakes, chicken strips, burger, and mac and cheese. I’ve had breakfast here before and the pancakes are buttery and delicious.

My family and I were really impressed with this diner-like restaurant. It opens daily at 6am, which is great if you’re an early riser. It has an authentic, non-contrived diner vibe: not fancy, not retro, not pretentious in any way. Down-home friendly servers(we had Tina, who was genuine and lovely). Home-made comfort food with reasonable prices and huge portions. What’s not to love here? We ordered various omelets and pancakes and everything came with a ton of sides(English muffins, bacon, hash browns, eggs on the side, and more), and everything was fresh and perfectly cooked and prepared. No way we could eat everything. We thought it whimsical how they have different kids of chandeliers above each booth. I liked how the bathrooms were clean and well-stocked. Everything was great here. Terrific place. If we lived here, we’d be here a lot. And very overweight.

I hate absolutely hate that I have to update my review to a more negative one which truly saddens me. This used to be a must stop for my family and I on our frequent trips to Chelan! Up too six times a year! New owners took over this mom and pop joint and clearly they have lowered there standards of food quality drastically! My fiancé ordered a breakfast sandwich which he has ordered a few dozen times and this time the eggs that they used were the boxed premixed crap, and the cheese was the fake crap that they didn’t even bother to try and melt. I almost always order the BOB half order and was disappointed, the gravy was bland and biscuits hard, also over heard the cooks complain about me wanting extra crispy hash browns. Really? A few extra mins on the griddle is gonna kill you man?(I would have understood if they were slammed but this time it was a pretty empty place) Ps. Don’t get the coffee-get a soda or juice they switched brands or just keep reusing the grounds because it was beyond horrible and had to ask for new creamer I could tell the one on the table had been sitting out for awhile! Our waitress was extremely pleasant and always enjoy seeing her on our trips! The 2 stars does not reflect the wait staff at all just the poor quality food and cooks!

What I love about Apple Cup is that they’re always slammin and jammin! This place is always busy and they’re always busy for a reason! The food is good, they have daily specials and a separate side adjacent to the restaurant that is for 21+ only with the same menu!

Like a diner… but with less appeal to it. We ordered mac & cheese for our daughter — thought we’d get something better than an off-brand Kraft product. Can’t give more than a single for this… yuck!

Although the service here was good, the food leaves a lot to be desired. The food I make at home is more tasty than what we ordered here to be honest. The broccoli that comes as a side was overcooked and puke green. For a party of four someone ordered the liver and onions and the meat was burnt, I ordered the chicken fried steak and it lacked seasoning, the gravy tasted like it was from a can. Biscuits and gravy were pretty mediocre. Don’t know if the cook was having a bad day or if it’s always like this, but it definitely wasn’t great.

Great diner in downtown Chelan. This is the type of place with big portions and warm service. I got a waffle and pancake special(subbed sausage for a pancake), and slathered everything in their delicious berry syrup. Yum. My wife got the cottage cheese pancakes. There was plenty leftover, because they give you so much food for your money(consider splitting one entrée). The coffee wasn’t so great — not worth the two dollars it cost. Overall, this is a homey, nice place to grab breakfast or brunch while in Chelan. I would eat here again.

This place was not good. We ordered the chicken fried steak and the food was less than average. It lacked any salt and the beef just tasted like rubberized Swiss beef. The pancakes were less than average too. Coffee was really bad. Joyce the waitress was terrific and was a great server. But because the food was really not good I will not be going back. Is it just me or Chelan lacks great eats?!

Great traditional breakfast joint in town in Chelan! They have a very broad menu — ranging from classics(bacon/sausage, eggs, and hash), to baked goods(crepes, waffles, pancakes), omelets and house specialties. They must have just hired a new chef that has a background cooking hispanic/mexican food because huevos rancheros and a ranchero omelet were *new* and looked delicious! Not your standard greasy spoon, portions were appropriate, served quickly and accurately, good variety of options.

You don’t come here to be ‘wowed’ by the ambience, so get over it. Now that said if you want the traditional«Sunday morning breakfast experience» this place has it in spades. The food comes hot and it comes quickly after it’s ordered. The off the menu blueberry pancakes are a particular delight, ask for the berry syrup, hog heaven. Please tell Joyce we said«hey» enjoy!

A group of us came here for marathon and half marathon one weekend. We came here before we headed back to Seattle. Hm… I am not sure why we picked this but sure, the restaurant did take care of us, hungry runners! Well, I would love to order their half price bloody mary but I was heading to a crazy bike ride after lunch and I couldn’t really consume alcohol or stuff myself too much. I had two eggs with hashbrown. All the food we ordered around the group seemed pretty good! They had fun with those bloody mary challenge. I love the hospitality. They not only accommodated our big group and separate check, but also refilled my water bottles for my crazy bike ride! Love it! I hope to come back again and take on that bloody mary challenge one of those days!

After a long day trouncing around Lake Chelan, we wanted to stop somewhere to get some dessert. This was one of the few places still open a little later in the evening so after a quick Unilocal search, we stopped here. The place wasn’t too busy in the evening. They had quite a few items, on the menu for dessert and every one of them was homemade which really helped out the diner feel of this joint. As we were only going for dessert, I can’t comment on the regular breakfast, lunch, dinner menus. I will say though, as I sat with my two friends chatting about our journey to Chelan through the snow covered pass of Snoqualmie and the ice and the rain & about life, it was another one of those moments when you just realized how fun & humbling life can be. It was just three people sharing a moment on a short day-cation with not a care in the world. We were just sitting in a diner at 8 o’clock at night, having good conversation over a warm slice of apple pie with vanilla ice cream. It kind of reminded me of a «Golden Girls» moment without the«Golden» and the cheesecake and sans one member of the gang… Sophia! So I guess not so much Golden Girls, but you get the point. Anyway, I’m really glad they were open somewhat late. We even thought about going back for breakfast because they had some really great combo deals for a breakfast menu and their breakfast I believe started at 5 or 6 a.m. We ended up going down the street to Campbell’s for breakfast but this Apple Cup Café is definitely on my list of places to eat the next time I come to Chelan. Perfect homemade diner style food, in a country style diner setting.
