We went there with a party of 6, while the food tasted fine I found some metal pieces and plastic in the pineapple fried rice. They did take it out of our tab, but it killed my appetite. Overall just ok.

Looking for some Asian food to satisfy our need for something tasty. This is probably the worst Thai food I’ve ever had. The Basil chicken tasted like soy sauce… period…with droopy vegetables. The curry dish was better but very salty. Don’t go here if you really like Thai… You’ll sadly waste your money. I guess if I had ordered the pineapple rice like all the other patrons who liked this place? Maybe… But It’s not getting a second chance…

He brought me my Tom Yum soup with prawn, guess what! Just prawn and soup… no line leaf, no mushroom, no any kind of veggie inside but just plain soup and prawn. I told him, I been to too many Thai restaurant but I never see anything like this… he look at me and«WHAT! this is my restaurant this is how I been making for 8 years» I said«I am not eating this food» he got mad and started a tantrum… a temper tantrum or I shall say a hissy fit, he emotional outburst, like a distress child, he came up to my face and almost tried to hit me, I told him«try touching me, I WILLFUCKYOUUP» yes I did say that… he backed up and call the cops… I left there and sat in Chelan Teriyaki(food was awesome) the cops showed up there and questioned me, I told them what happened… the owner of the Thai restaurant«Bamboo Shoot» showed up too and came running like gonna hit me, the cops stopped him. They trespass me from that restaurant(like I am gonna visit that restaurant)… Hei people, go try ordering the Prawn Tom Yum soup… you will see it. Good luck.

Decided to give them a try, despite some of the reviews. Was not disappointed. Not the best Thai style place I have eaten at, but a long ways from the worst. I had the chicken salad. The chicken was cooked perfectly. Just wish there was more dressing, but it tasted good. My wife had the Tom yum soup and the broth was perfect. Going back tonight for the garlic chili fried rice. Service was great.

We stopped in by chance for a quick bite to eat and had the Singapore Noodles! Soooooo good! If your craving noodles, look no further! One bowl was big enough for my husband and I to share!

Worth the wait! If you want fast food go to McDonald’s, this is authentic Thai cuisine made to order. It was amazing and there were leftovers as a bonus! Unfortunately I dont’ live close enough and I’ll have cravings for this place. It’s Chelan best kept secret!

Amazing food/Sloooooooooow service Bottom line food shouldn’t take this long. Like I’m a pretty patient person, but this wait was ridiculous. When we got our food it was amazing though nothing to complain about there. I would try it again and give them a shot.

I am Asian, so take this review into consideration, I am also a human being with functioning taste buds. I went here with my family during our vacation to Lake Chelan. The food here is supposed to be Thai. Anyway, this place is dark as fuck. I guess its that way because they don’t want you to see how horrific the food looks. I got this Ching Mai noodle dish, and it was EXTREMELYEXTREMELYSALTY. HOLYSMOKES. I COULDDRINKTHEENTIREDRUMHELLERFOUNTAIN. My sister(poor girl) got the duck and EVENTHAT was extremely salty. My uncle got Pineapple Fried rice and it was salty and too sweet. I could NOT finish my meal, I FELTASTHOUGHMYSYSTOLICBLOODPRESSUREWOULDBEOVER140BYNOW. PLEASEAVOIDTHISPLACEATALLCOSTS, I’M WARNINGYOU.

I would never eat here again. Not only because the food is disgusting, but because the owner is even more so. He owns two vicious German Shepherds, Smith and Wesson, that he keeps locked up and probably abuses. These dogs have gotten loose in our neighborhood, killing small dogs and severely injuring larger ones. They are nothing but killers raised by an ass hole. One of them has even taken out the other’s eye. Please do not give business to this establishment. Regardless of your morals, your stomach will appreciate the advice!

I came to Lake Chelan for a girl’s trip w 3 of my best friends, and this restaurant was one of the highlights of our trip. The pineapple fried rice was delicious and BEAUTIFULLY presented! My friend’s dish was too spicy, so the server pleasantly offered to have it remade. My friend tried to decline, but she insisted. My friend was trying to be polite, so I’m glad the server recognized that. The ambience was really nice and it wasn’t crowded at all. Our service was fast, friendly and efficient! We also asked which wineries we should visit, and our server went out of her way to ask a local server to come and talk to us. She recommended several wineries, but we decided on Hard Row To Hoe. Best trip ever!!!

I really wanted to like this place, as I was looking for a little more variety in dining options. I ordered Shrimp Tempura & Tofu Pad Thai, hoping for the best. The shrimp was ‘OK’ — a bit heavy on the breading. I should have ordered a salad with it & been done, but my eyes were bigger than my tummy. The Pad Thai arrived & I was thinking it looked ‘different’. Well, it certainly was: button mushrooms, mini corn, broccoli & cauliflower. There really didn’t seem to be anything ‘fresh’ about the veggies: it was all very muddled. The tofu was cooked in it — I usually see fried tofu in Pad Thai — for a bit of crisp texture. This tofu was soft & flavorless, not at all what I was expecting. The vegetables, sauce & tofu were just so, regrettably, ‘Blah’ that I can only give a 3 review. Sad, as it was rather uninspiring, and lacked that fresh vegetable goodness I’ve had elsewhere. Sorry, Bamboo Shoot!

The food was okay. I found that the chicken in my dish seemed to be not prepared for my particular order and was a bit over done(customary for food that was maybe made for previous orders and carried to the next to save time and/or money). I did like that you could adjust the spiciness level and the ambience wasn’t too bad, yet not great for a quiet dinner.

Just really gross food there. Weird texture curry and no flavor stir fried veggies. On the menu they said Thai and Japanese food but this is definitely not Thai food not even close.

Average ambience; average food, not something what I wanted to eat after hours of driving; came here as nearby Mexican restaurant has long line; quantity is good though

I live in Chelan and give Bamboo Shoot another chance once a year at most. I am convinced they use MSG in their food. Today I ordered some of the green Thai curry, and now a few hours later feel sick and hung over, it is how I felt last time I ate food with MSG. My wife’s Pad Thai was fair at best. Tolerable place to eat if your desperate, I am not sure I’ll go there again.

Used to be really good here but last couple times the food has tasted like they are watering down the curry and phad Thai taste too sweet? I probably won’t be back anytime soon. Customer service was good though!

Decided to stop by for some hibachi on a busy holiday weekend while in Chelan. We didn’t have a reservation but happened to latch onto a group that had enough room for us to join as there are only 3 tables of 8 for the hibachi. The location is great as it is right in the downtown area of Chelan and close to all of the parks. We ordered the teriyaki chicken, shrimp and filet mignon. The chef was great and started with the noodles and then followed with the fried rice and grilled vegetables. The noodles were delicious and the fried rice was good as well. Next into the main dishes. The shrimp was great, the teriyaki chicken was a tad over cooked and dry but the filet mignon was excellent! It was so delicious I couldn’t stop eating it! They also have us this delicious white sauce to dip all of our food into and that sauce I just couldn’t get enough of. The prices weren’t bad with the chicken being the least expensive($ 20 which included the salad, rice and noodles as well) and the filet mignon being around $ 39(including everything above as well). I am still stuffed and would definitely go again when I am in the Chelan area next time.

I have now tried enough of the menu to say this place is delish. I have had some Thai, some Curry, some Japanese, and we have partaken in the Hibachi. Everything has been great. Pros: Varied menu, yummy everything, and great service. Cons: Not hooked up with any social media, no website, no online menu, kinda pricey. Advice: For 2 people you can totally share 1 dish and 1 app if you are on a budget. Now picking which entrée you’ll share is going to be tough. If you are going in for hibachi, you have to make a reservation.

I thought this place was so nice. The ambiance, the food, the service, the price… everything. For my first time visiting the Lake Chelan area, this was a perfect place to eat. It is an Asian themed restaurant. It may be a little dark in the restaurant for some, but I thought it added to the atmosphere. There is a bar in the back, so you can sit in the bar area or sit in the main dining area which is nicely removed and situated slightly down a way from the bar so you can enjoy your meal without too much bar chatter. The first thing I checked out was the bathroom. They are very spacious and easily handicapped accessible. Super clean and smells great. Second, the menu highlights several dishes and was easy to ready. It was easy to select a vegetarian dish. I selected a sweet and sour tofu dish. It came out perfectly. Glistening and shining with all it’s sweet and sourness. Accompanied with perfectly made white rice just sticky enough but not too sticky. Super large servings as well, so you may want to share one dish for two people. You get more than what you paid for. Third, I can’t remember our waitresses name but she was beyond belief good at providing customer friendly service. She was well informed about all the menu options and knew how many of the dishes were prepare so she easily answered any questions we had and offered suggestions based on the questions. We even asked her about the Lake Chelan area and she once again easily answered questions about local tourist attractions for a variety of tastes(camping, cheese and wine tasting, local night life, other restaurants and bars). She knew about key points to see and offered information even about how much apartments cost in the area. Fourth, I already mentioned price but you definitely get more than what the price shows. We had to take most of our dinner home in boxes as it was just so much. Lastly, I like that you can see the chefs cooking in the kitchen. You get to see how fresh the food is and how fast they prepare it. You can see them firing up the woks and serving it up. Definitely will be back if I’m in the area. Very very nice restaurant.
