When this place was open it was a great place for a date! The only sushi restaurant in town so I hope they make a return this summer!

I’ve had a lot of sushi but this sushi is some of the best I’ve had in awhile. I had to hit this resteraunt up twice while I was in Chelan and I have no regrets.

This was a pleasant surprise to find a sushi place while in Lake Chelan. I’ve been unimpressed with several(READ: abysmal) sushi restaurants, however this one was an exception in my latest sushi slump. The dining rooms were clean & well lit, and the sushi bar(while it felt like I was seated a little ‘low’) was clean & prepared nicely. My server seemed distracted & uninterested in doing her job particularly well. Example: she stood nearly behind me & perpendicular to my back, as she asked me what I wanted. As I craned my neck & started to reply with ‘Edamame’, she started telling me about the«special». Another opportunity came when she stood directly behind me AGAIN, to take my order — I prefer eye contact when I speak to people, and I don’t like people in my blind spot(in my car, or otherwise). While it was annoying, I figured it was her problem so I just blurted out what I wanted, and let it go. My edamame was a bit stiff on arrival, but that didn’t stop me. My meal order came up promptly: Escolar nigiri & a Hiroshima roll. The escolar was wonderful, and my roll was tasty. I complemented the sushi chef & ordered a Mexican roll(see pic). When I finished my meal, I was surrounded by the edamame plate, bowl & the two sushi platters that the waitress never picked-up. The restaurant wasn’t THAT busy to have to look at all that mess. Beyond a rather weak server, the ambiance was good, and the sushi hit the spot. I’ll return, but I will sit with my back against the wall next time…

I have lived in the big cities with popular sushi spots. However, nothing matches the presentation and quality and delicious taste than Maki Sushi. Joseph is great and will treat you like extended family. I highly recommend Maki Sushi – I love the Triple Shrimp and Yakisoba!

I like Maki! I’m a sushi snob from the city. While I can’t say it’s the best I’ve had, I can still say it’s the best in Chelan Valley! I’m just lucky enough to have found a place with great service and sushi. They have killer tempura and great miso. I haven’t eaten cooked food but they have a decent amount of sushi rolls to choose from. Only down side is that they don’t offer Soft shell crab or hamachi Kama. Might not matter to most people anyways, but I loveeeee those items. Really GREAT escolar sashimi. I love the patio seating as well and have always been really happy with the service. Owner is outgoing and friendly guy!

Very good sushi in an unexpected place! Chelan is a fun resort town, but fine dining can be hard to find. This is not fine dining, but it’s very fresh and well-prepared sushi. In the great American sushi tradition, they are creative with their rolls. I had a delicious roll with crab and a tasty Sriracha aoli. Very tasty and not too spicy! The nigiri sushi I had(yellow tail, white tuna and salmon) was fresh and satisfying. The pricing was very appropriate– sushi is never cheap unless you go the conveyer belt direction(gross). I dined at the Sushi bar– convenient and quick. The staff was friendly and efficient. If you are in Chelan and looking for a nice alternative to burgers or Mexican food, this is a great choice.

My crew and I are working in this beautiful city for the week and I had a itching for some great sushi and saki. Maki was highly recommended. Upon our arrival, our server Kat immediately greeted us with a smile, she was very kind and helpful. We were blown away by the wonderful flavors and presentation done by the chefs. Large selection of sake, great service, GREAT food. Big city experience in a small town… We’ll be back for sure!

Who knew that Lake Chelan would have better Sushi than Seattle… but it is true!!! I love eating here. They get a fresh fish every few days and they employ some really awesome and talented sushi chefs. The miso soup is delicious and the prices are fair. I have eaten here so many times during the summer and keep wanting to go back for more. The owner is very nice and will strike up an interesting conversation.

It’s been a while since we’ve been here. We were rebelling because of new owners. We liked the previous. Ok. So the only people we punished were ourselves. The sushi was great. Waitresses were nice, though we did have remind to bring our drinks. But no biggie. Their friendliness and great atmosphere balanced. Will most likely again be our Friday night haunt.

We were a little weary going into a sushi resturaunt in Chelan coming from Seattle but were instantly empressed by the small town feel and great sushi. The staff was friendly and knew the locals by name, and the owner made sure to come over to our table to make sure we liked our food and tell us a bit about the resturaunt. The 25 Mile roll = 5 stars. Best roll I have had in years.

Delicious! The sushi is always fresh, the staff friendly, and what I love is you don’t get that heavy feeling after eating it like with some sushi. The cilantro they put into some of their rolls is to die for. Give it a try! If you love sushi, you will not be disappointed.

This place is great. Not often you find a good sushi place in a small town, but this is it! Tokyo Roll was our favorite. The 25 mile is good American style sushi as well. The owner and chefs are very nice!

So, so sushi. Could use more flavor overall. Nice family and servers, but slow with only two tables.

Imitation crab unfortunately. Service falls apart when busy. Friendly and made accommodations for food allergies. Just waiting for 10 – 20 minutes at a time for our server to say hi. Too long to wait for so so sushi.

Highly recommend Maki Sushi! OK — so I absolutely DONOT eat sushi but they have a lot of other items to choose from! Our waitress was super nice and fun to be around, she delivered EXCELLENT service! We had a late night dinner(9 pmish) We ordered lumpias(found out the wife makes these) they were much, much better than Lumpia Worlds! I ordered the tempura prawns and vegies — which was excellent! Phở was ordered which was said to be good(something different about the noodles though — maybe a little thick?). And two Chicken Yakisoba plates were ordered and said to be good! I would LOVE to see more items on the menu that are not«sushi related» — most of the patrons were obviously sushi people… But what we had was very good and we will be back!

Visiting Lake Chelan in mid April, came here for dinner. Seating was quick, probably due to non busy season :-p Walked from Campbells Resort, which made for a easy night stroll. From what I could tell, only street parking available, but I think best transportation in town is walking anyway. Restaurant is nice looking; looks new. Staff is nice. Not a lot of food options on the menu, or what I’m accustomed to anyway. My spicy tuna roll was good and decently priced, same amount I would have paid in Seattle. For my entrée, I took a gamble and ordered the phở; yes, they offered phở. This was definitely a toftt. If you have had phở before from a vietnamese restaurant you will be very disappointed and shocked. I was very surprised they had this on the menu and advertised as phở. I’m not sure what the drive was to put this on the menu? If to offer a hot noodle soup item on the menu, why not just serve ramen? If trying to offer another alternative, why not try and come up with a unique noodle base dish? I meant to say something but there wasn’t a chance to be discreet about it. So hopefully someone at the restaurant reads my post here and either really offer phở, remove from the menu, or find a way to fix it. I would hate to see this restaurant get really bad reviews because they are offering something on their menu that’s not what you get. I was told the chicken katsu don on fried rice was good. If I were back in town, I would come back again but not order the phở unless it really was phở.

New owners are AWESOME! The food is great but what really pushes it over the top is the incredible service. The server was so patient with us while we tried to make up our minds, he listed specials, greeted us like old friends, and was super helpful. I will definitely be making this a regular stop. I am so happy to find a great(real) sushi place all the way out here in Chelan. What a great addition to the town. We had the Spicy Tuna Roll, California Roll with Snow Crab(not the yucky crab, yummy fresh tasting crab), The Twenty Five Mile Roll, and a daily special roll which has tempura salmon and jalapeño with spicy sauce(can’t remember the name). Every roll was delish. None of it tasted fishy or fake. I was so satisfied. We also tried the Lumpia and Edamame, both were fantastic, and the Green Tea Ice Cream for dessert. I think they may be making the ice cream in house because even in California I have never had Green Tea Ice Cream this good. Way to go Maki Sushi. Not to be missed.

We love this family owned sushi bar. Jamie’s(the chef) sushi is affordable, beautiful, and most importantly, delicious! And for those looking for something besides sushi for dinner, Maki Sushi also serves things like phở noodle bowls and steak Teriyaki. If you love sushi, you’ll love Maki Sushi.
