A friend of mine, Charles Stafford, recently took over management of Buzzard Roost camp site. It’s located right behind The Point of View restaurant on Riverton Rose Trail in Cherokee AL. He’s obviously done a lot of work cleaning up the camp site and doing things that should make it a fun spot to camp and enjoy the view of the nearby Tennessee River.
He has 17 sites with hook up utilities which includes some fronting the water and most with great views. .They have rates that include: yearly, monthly, weekly, and nightly.
I stopped by to visit and took a short tour on my way back from Florence, Alabama, just off the Natchez Trace. The site is very pretty with a lovely view of the River.
The camp site opened April 1st..
