Used Jeff and his team for two seperate issues. Not only was the outcome in my favor both times, but their frank no nonsense attitude throughout the processes was absolutely appreciated in a world full of people who are happy to spin their wheels (and yours) at your expense. Jef and team get results and are worth every penny you pay them.

I can’t say enough good things about Jef Henninger. He went above and beyond for my case. He was able to get my DYFS case thrown out without a court date. He protected my family and I can’t put a price on that.

I unfortunately had to hire several lawyers due to a crazy ex Many were not very helpful. However Jef and his team were excellent. My other lawyers didn’t really fight for me, but Jef was aggressive and never backed down. He got me a great result and I have referred them to other people. I’m hoping to be done with my ex, but if I have legal issues in the future I will definitely use them again.

I can’t say enough about this firm and my lawyer, Jef Henninger. I immediately felt comfortable after my very first meeting and was treated with respect to make a very stressful period in my life bearable. Jef explained everything about my case clearly and concisely, so even I could understand. He was ever so prompt in returning phone calls, texts and emails; or satisfying any concerns I had, making my family and I feel secure and safe knowing that they had my back. I really could sleep better at night and could go on doing my daily tasks and moving on with my life with much less anxiety and stress until the matter was ultimately resolved.
Jef really takes ownership of each case and makes it his personal business that absolutely everything is done to get the best outcome. He really puts other attorneys to shame by taking on the cases the others might shy away from. He is not afraid to «rattle some cages» in order to get the most beneficial outcome for his clients. Jef and his firm take the time to evaluate each case with careful detail, do the appropriate research and informs the client of their rights.
The firm also specializes in computer criminal defense topics, a subject that is still avoided heavily by other defense firms. In today’s ever connected and electronic society, you need someone on your side that understands the technology, situational circumstances and the law surrounding it and is not afraid to fight against a ‘technological ignorant’ judge or prosecutor. We finally had our day in Court after retaining Jef. We were very please with Jef’s performance in Court and his overall performance on our case in general. We have a never-​ending custody dispute and will definitely be using Jef again in the future. As a business owner myself, I have high standards for customer service and customer satisfaction and Jef exceeded our expectations after using several other lawyers in the NJ area and almost giving up on finding a good, aggressive attorney. What an attitude Jef Henniger has… I called and left a message and he promptly called me back. I asked him about a firearm permit and he immediately referred me to his website and said I wouldn’t call him back if I read his blog. I told him that I did read his blog and still want to continue forward, he snapped and said «If you read my blog then you know how much I charge and you would be calling me with a credit card» I said «I do have a credit card but why are you giving me an attitude?» He snapped back «I’m not going to be able to help you.» WOW what an a**hole… you are too good to even talk politely? I guess its good I found this out before I paid the retainer. I would recommend that people keep away based on my brief experience.

I called on Monday afternoon at 12:39pm for a free consultation on general legal procedures regarding a friend’s DYFS case. When the attorney picked up the telephone he sounded like he was outside or on the road, and I asked if this was an appropriate time to ask for a free consultation, he said «Yes». After speaking with Jef Henninger for 1 minute, he announced that his retainer is $ 10,000.00. It was rather odd for him to advertise or push his retainer while I was in the process of explaining the case and assess his knowledge of the complex DYFS system. He was very short, vague, and rude in his responses to my questions. It was becoming clear that either I had more knowledge of the DYFS system or more accurately he didn’t want to give me a free consultation. Then after 2.5 minutes (the whole conversation lasted 3 minutes) he accused me of playing games with him and «trying to get legal advice», he finished his accusation with: «I don’t work for free». So basically what I gather is that unless I guaranteed to hire him, he was not at all interested in providing a free consultation as advertised on the Jef Henninger website. Maybe I have the wrong idea about free legal consultations, but my understanding is that they are based on sharing legal knowledge with a potential client, not a guaranteed client. I have never run into such unprofessional and, excuse the language, sheisty behavior on the part of an attorney. I felt no other choice but to hang up the telephone.
If Jef Henninger doesn’t intend to provide free legal consultations, he should not advertise to do so on his website. If you need professional legal assistance, do not waste your time with Jef Henninger Esq.
