I contacted them and told them I had a moister issue in one of my small attic sections. They over the phone told me I should call a insulation company, which might be right. Just seems odd they would not be interested in looking at it. I was told by my home inspector that this area need more venting. I mentioned that on the phone. I wanted someone to come out and give me a professional opinion. But, I guess it won’t be from them. Maybe if you have a picture to hang on a wall these are they guys for you. But, don ‘t call them with any sort of technical issue they don’t want the work.

I called Mr Handyman to repair gutters that were pulling away from my house. They were not just in time, but 15 minutes early which is unheard of these days. They provided a fair estimate and completed the work in less time then expected. They did a great job and were clean and professional. I feel I should also point out that they are licensed and insured(I checked), contrary to the average ‘guy in a truck’, so you know you are protected should something go wrong. Highly recommend this company!

Ray and his crew are the best! We’ve had work done by them on several occasions and they are as good as their word«on time, done right!» They are clean, professional, courteous, dependable, and very friendly. You can’t go wrong with this Mr. Handyman! If you need help — from the biggest jobs to the small ones — you’ll be glad that you chose them. Thank you for being there!

The Branch of Mr. Handyman: Moorestown — Haddonfield — Voorhees of New Jersey The Craftsman/Service Tech: Jay(John) My mother needed to get some work done on her gutters, as they were pulling the wood away from the roof of the house so she went ahead and called Mr. Handyman without my knowledge and got an estimate of around $ 500(which seemed somewhat reasonable for the job that had to be done, considering you’re using a franchise). So I decided to come by when they were doing the work on the house just to check up on what kind of work they were doing, and this was the experience I encountered: What I liked: 1) The guy knew what he was doing. 2) While he was at the house he continuously worked until the job was complete and to our satisfaction, he barely took any breaks. 3) He did quality work and was utmost professional. 4) He took off a half hour, since he couldn’t find the correct materials at the couple places he went to(he was gone for two hours). 5) He arrived on time. What I didn’t like/What they need to improve on: 1) He underestimated the job quite a bit. Listen I understand how jobs fluctuate based on the unknown and estimating a job is a difficult thing to do but he was doing the job completely by himself which needs to be factored into the original estimate which was not in my opinion. I offered to give the guy a hand since I know what it’s like doing a job by yourself. I basically spent 4 – 5 hours helping this guy which I offered on behalf of my own free will(I wanna stress he did not ask me) because I knew it would get the job done faster, I even cleaned up everything. If this dude was doing the job by himself I guarantee the price would’ve ended up being around or over $ 1,000 which is not cool. Final price came out to around $ 850. 2) He listed $ 150 dollars as expenses which I was a bit skeptical of considering all he needed was three planks of wood, some aluminum, and some plastic pieces, and maybe some other hardware(not sure it this price included filling up his gas tank, buying lunch, buying some new tools or whatever but that should be covered in the hourly rate not listed extra with materials). Final comments for this Handyman branch: I understand everyone needs to make money and I would imagine that Mr. Handyman corporate probably charges some pricey overhead for each franchise to operate which needs to be factored into the price of each job. That being said you need to be more reasonable with your estimating(whether it be unintentional or not). The reason my mother agreed because it was around $ 500, if I wasn’t there it would have been $ 900-$ 1000 easy which is unacceptable. Evan Medford, NJ
