Our father was in a near-fatal car crash and recovered with a TBI on top of developing dementia. He spent many weeks in rehab and never quite found his rhythm or regained his ability to live alone. When it became clear that his care needs could only be met in a specialized residential setting we searched high and low for the right place. We chose Spring Hills Cherry Hill for our father because it offered open visiting, expert nursing care, delicious food, caring residential aides and an incredible menu of activities tailored to the needs of older adults with cognitive impairments. The living units were spacious, homelike, clean and offered the privacy that our father preferred along with group meals, activities and the socialization that we wanted for him. Throughout his two-year stay, our father was cared for by staff who were attentive, kind, and professional. Every effort was made to meet his needs even when expressive language failed him. Our fondest memories are of the late afternoon sing-alongs, trips to the beautiful courtyards, clothes washing, feeding the birds and the fun holiday events. Every effort is made at Spring Hills Cherry Hill to respond to family needs and concerns. We never expected assisted living in the Memory Unit to be so warm and home-like. Spring Hills Cherry Hill is a wonderful place and we are so deeply grateful for the care and attention given to our father. –Nayowith Family
