Yes — I’m a fan of this Steinmart — after trawling the mall looking for deals on decent stuff rather than junk — I remembered to come here. I did great for Xmas here — good stuff at the right prices. They have lots of styles worth buying here(previous comments about fourth grade teacher clothes are a bit absurd) — and a nice housewares area with gifts and gadgets sold cheaper than the mall. Good lingerie department too.

I remember 6 or 7 years ago, when this Stein Mart opened, and there was a sense of general excitement in the air — look how big it’s going to be! I wonder what great deals I snag here! Do you think they’ll offer discounts to frequent shoppers?! Here we are today, and I’ve YET to find anything worth buying in this palce. I stopped in last week in search of a discounted dress, but all I found were stiff, high-colored maiden frocks in clashy, bright colors. I second the reviewer below — most of the clothing reminds you of 1990s elementary school teacher style, all fit to be paired with a multi-colored macaroni necklace. Worse still, a lot of the stuff is still way expensive, especially in the homegoods department. Save your time and head to TJ Maxx, Marshall’s, or Homegoods instead.

I don’t know why the other reviewers are hatin’ on Stein Mart. I have been looking for rectangular silk scarves to outfit the ladies who work for me in for some time. I actually called Sara Canuso who is the owner of A Suitable Solution for advice on where to go for reasonably priced scarves and she suggested Stein Mart. I ended up buying four scarves at $ 6.50 each and two more ties for my guys(Geoffrey Beene $ 15 each). Ties are better priced and more numerous at Boscov’s in Plymouth Meeting but I hadn’t located any scarves there. They had a decent assortment of lots of items that maybe one wouldn’t find elsewhere — nice backings for post earrings, eyeglass cloths, etc. The place reminded me of that grouping of stores such as Ross, Burlington, TJ Maxx. The Stein Mart is tucked away in a shopping center barely visible from the road that I drove right past it — thank goodness for the Garmin!

I may be biased because I grew up working in this place but it really is a nice getaway from the larger department store retailers. I always enjoyed the unique finds in the gifts/home department and their selection on men’s casual clothing has dramatically improved over the years IMO. The staff has always been super attentive and understand that customer service is a top priority within the Stein Mart company. If you never have… you must check it out.

perfect if you wanted to capture the look your 4th grade teacher had going on in 1990. one star for being funny, one star because they do carry discounted designer handbags like coach and D&B.
