Got the oink onion, small garlic salad, & bbq sandwich. All were very good. All the sauces were good too. I ended up using all 3. The spicy was probably my favorite. It’s not really spicy, just twangy. Clean bathroom. Clean place. Good tea. Server was friendly. Seems like a family place. Will be back on our next mountain trip!

Grilled chicken with onions, mushrooms and green pepper is one of the best meals you can get for 10.50. Make sure to ask for extra onions, mushrooms and peppers! I don’t usually eat salad because it takes up space where I consume entrees, but the salad at PP always has fresh lettuce, ripe tomatoes, cucumbers and a lot of shredded cheese. The home made ranch is excellent. Salad and baked potato are included in the 10.50! Take the banana pudding home if you are full!

We just returned from our second Christmastime road trip to the Blue Ridge area and the Pink Pig was the only place we made a point to visit again. Maybe it’s doesn’t rank with the best barbecue places around the South but we think it’s pretty tasty and very friendly. Brother-in-law got fried chicken livers and the rest of us got BBQ of some sort, with a variety of sides and desserts. I do think the sweet potato waffle fries are better than the made-in-house fries. Next time I will remember to ask for the spicy sauce because even this wimp wants something a little zingier than sweet sauce(other than vinegar).

This is the chopped chicken plate. My husband and I came here by recommendation from a local. The chicken was cold and dry… Beans were super hot… Mac and cheese was cold… Diet coke had too much carbonation and I asked for tea instead. She said something about the carbonation being off only on diet coke for a few weeks now and apologized. This is not acceptable for the price. Won’t be coming back, not eating anything until I get home to reheat.

Mediocre BBQ. Bad service. Waited forever for drinks, and waited again for food. Highlight was the vinegar bbq sauce, which unlike everything else in this place, was excellent.

If you’re heading up to Blue Ridge, this is a good little BBQ Joint. They also have a full menu including chicken and steak! Of course I had the Chopped Pork Plate with Brunswick Stew and Mac n Cheese. Like I said, the pork is chopped, not pulled. It has a nice smoked flavor and just the right moistness. They have 2 sauces: vinegar and sweet. The vinegar is a little thick, I would like to have a little more«bite», but still acceptable. The sweet is just that, sweet. The Brunswick Stew is a traditional style that’s puréed with pork sausage added and a few chucks of white corn. You gotta try the blackberry cobbler ala mode… AWESOME!

The classic roadside BBQ joint. Pork is lean with just the right amount of smoke, and the ribs are fall off the bone tender and tasty. The sides are excellent and save room for the blackberry cobbler or the homemade bananna pudding. You even get your choice of sauces. Not a BBQ fan? That’s OK, because the chicken and dumplings will make you want more.

The only reason that the Pink Pig received 3 stars on my review is the high quality of their side dishes & service. I tried both the BBQ pork, and the beef brisket. Both were DRY — not juicy at all. This is something that keeps popping up in reviews of this place, so I hope the owners of the Pink Pig eventually listen to the reviews. Their side salad was very nice. Sweet potato fries were great — nice & crisp, with a tender sweet potato center(almost like a baked sweet potato). The green beans and cole slaw were great(according to my son). There was very little smoke flavor to the BBQ, and it was dry. Have I mentioned that Pink Pig’s BBQ pork & beef are both dry? The owners seem to depend on the BBQ sauce to add moisture to their smoked meats, which is not what I expect in quality BBQ.

It’s a hole in the wall restaurant on the side of the road in North Georgia and its so tasty, though I wouldn’t recommend the brisket. It was pretty dry and chewy. The pulled pork was not as juicy as it should have been, but the jalapeño poppers were decent. They didn’t offer a variety of sauces either to spice up the meat that was lacking in flavor. It’s a good spot if you’re looking for something quick, but not if you’re wanting the best BBQ around. I remember my last visit over a year ago being a lot more positive. It’s a shame I may not give them another shot when I go back up to the mountains.

Someone at the apple orchard recommended that we drive out-of-the-way for the pink pig and it’s macaroni and cheese. Being that we were in the middle of nowhere you would think one would know about country cooking. That certainly was not the case with the macaroni and cheese at the pink pig. The garlic salad was the star of an average meal. The pulled pork was dry and uneventful. And finally the macaroni and cheese was as bland as if they bought it from KFC themselves. Next time you’re driving in the middle of nowhere looking for good country food and homemade mac & cheese I can tell you passed this place up.

Very disappointed. Meal was ok meat was sort of dry. Not the best BBQ I’ve ever had. Sauces lacked flavor. We tried the world famous garlic salad, it should be call soggy salad. It’s just lettuce soaked in garlic dressing. Not good Staff was friendly though. Place was cute but I’m not planning on returning.

I love eating at The Pink Pig! The negative reviews are surprising to me, who is very picky about her bar b que! I love the brisket the most with lots of burnt ends in it. I do get the pork too and I like it because it is very lean. I do admit they could come up with a better sauce overall. They have two on the table, one sweet and the other is vinegar based. If you ask they will bring you a spicy sauce which is better to me. The flavor of the brisket is very good. I enjoy the green and bar b que beans and onion rings a lot. I am not sure what to say about the fried green tomatoes. I have got them here a few times and they have been very good but last week I ate here and found them thin and greasy. Not to my liking. The cobblers are home made and the kids and my dad love it. The décor is cute with pigs all over. My daughter wears her new pink pig shirt with pride and a bigger belly. This place has been here since 1967 so they must be doing something right! All the waitresses will bend over backwards to make your meal enjoyable. Oh and the garlic salad is great! Very tangy and full of garlic. Not anything huge or fancy, just a bowl of iceberg lettuce, onions and carrots with great dressing. Nothing more is needed in my opinion. This is no fancy Atlanta smoke joint. Just a down home, family run, good olé’ fashioned bar b sue place thats pure GEORGIA! Ill change my review to five stars when they add more veggies to the sides menu(fried okra) and make a more savory or tangy bar b que sauce. Im not saying remove the three they have just add one more. Ill always go back to eat here as long as they are open. They are a Thursday to Sunday hours restaurant. ENJOY!

Food was average to less than. Deserved 2 ½ stars. The chicken is dry, the Brunswick stew is pasty and the garlic salad is primarily vinegar over chopped iceberg lettuce. The smoked chicken salad was good. Service is good.
