My dad suggested burgers at MJs instead of Sonic. I love Sonic whenever I come into town — we don’t have them on the East Coast — so I was dubious about going anywhere else.
I’m so glad we went to MJs. The burgers were crazy good — thick, juicy, delicious. We got the Cowboy Burger, topped with brisket, carmelized onions and a perfectly melted piece of American cheese. So good. The French fries were homemade and perfectly cooked. This really was one of the best burger-​and-​fries experiences I’ve had in a long time.
If you’re driving by on 169 on a road trip, I really recommend driving a mile into downtown Cherryvale and eating at MJs.
