It was my second visit yesterday. It was so awesome! Our puppy was welcomed(she’s really good anyway) and that opened the door for us to spend even more time there! We got sandwiches on fresh bread, had ice cream, and even pie! We even bought more of their bread and some super yummy chocolate milk to bring home! I can’t wait for the corn maze.

Finally got a chance to visit Bergey’s Breadbasket last week and we had a blast. We started off with lunch… my husband and I both ordered chicken salad. I wasn’t a big fan of it but he liked it. It’s sweeter and has mustard in it, just different than what I’m use to. Of course, we had to get dessert as well. I had the coconut pie and I believe he had chocolate pecan. Their desserts are great. After lunch, we were excited to let our son run around outside and explore the grounds and see all of the animals. There were two sheep roaming around out back. One of the sheep locked eyes with my overly excited toddler and instantly took off in the opposite direction, smart move. We fed the goats and petted the baby pigs. There were also cows and even miniature horses, although they were behind an electric fence. Super neat place and great for the family!

Great place! Had lunch here and the sandwich was delicious and reasonably priced. You can get a half sandwich or a whole sandwich. The ice cream is absolutely delicious. One scoop in a cup or cone for $ 1.99. After eating, it’s nice to stroll around and take a look at the animals around back. They have cows, pigs, sheep and goats. It did get a little crowded inside, but they have a lot of staff and they work as fast as they can.

Cinnamon roll was ok… lacked some body and depth to it. Not bad, but not the best. They will heat it up for you. They have a little petting zoo out back. Super cute and a little coined food dispenser to feed the animals.

The best ice cream around! They always have the standard flavors, vanilla, chocolate, cookies and cream, but I love their seasonal flavors. I always ask the older gentleman when he’ll do coffee or mint chocolate because those are my favorite! I love getting a piece of cherry pie and adding a scoop of vanilla ice cream! They have fresh milk too! It’s so worth it, just remember to bring the bottle back!

I don’t know why there aren’t more reviews and why I haven’t left one til now but I will state this loudly: GO! STOP procrastinating and get your crew in gear and hit it! If you have a sweet tooth, their cheese Danishes are the creamiest ever. If you want fresh bread they’re rocking it. The rolls they serve with the BBQ are the best I’ve ever had(in America. Focaccia in Italy is world’s best) and their cheese biscuits are good heated up with an additional slice of cheddar in the middle. The cream pies? Pricey and worth EVERY cent! For me, their piece de resistance though is the chicken pot pie. Chunks of breast meat, fresh crunchy veggies, creamy gravy and the crispiest pastry this side of France. I haven’t had everything but I’m making my way through the menu. The BBQ wasn’t for me though. I like mine more VA style than NC and theirs was too dry for me. My husband LOVED it and the little kick was a bonus to him. A tip: if you’re picking up a dinner on the way home from work, order ahead so they can save you some. You’ll thank me for this later.
