Very nice people and talked me out of buying expensive equipment that I did not need. I ended up only spending 30 bucks instead. I love supporting small businesses.

There’s nothing like having a friendly local shop to rely on, and sadly Richmond Camera is nothing like a friendly local shop. I’m all for supporting the little stores, and helping them survive, but I’m putting a ‘do not resuscitate’ order on them. I bought some expensive CF cards in the store, and I needed some high capacity SD cards instead. Unopened. Still clearly marked with the price tags. They were still in the SAME bag I left the store with. Can’t take em back… No returns on memory. Even unused, unopened, clearly still brand new? Sorry… It’s a store policy — it’s in the ridiculous fine print on the receipt. No warning before the purchase, mind you. Their helpful advice — sell it on Craigslist. My helpful advice… If you keep feeding your customers to the sharks, there won’t be enough hands on deck to bail water.

Not impressed. I called them for an item which they said«sure, come on in we have it». I drove 13+ miles and they didn’t have it. I’ve also had bad experiences with this store and the«workshops» that they try and teach. Your $ is better off spent with a local camera club, than wasting it here. When you can buy items from an online store, and get better customer service, then what you can get face to face with these people. Something is terribly wrong!
