Skeleton Key Bar and Grille

Visited around lunch for a hangover cure. Ordered a Bloody Mary and a deep fried bacon cheeseburger. Yes. I just said that. A deep fried burger! They grill a blend of ground chuck and short rib, dip it in batter and in the fryer it goes. Came just the way I ordered it (medium) with a choice of fresh cut fries or fresh fried potato chips.

A local sports bar hangout with a full bar and restaurant. The restaurant serves a variety of items from burgers to shrimp and soup. They also offer daily specials from the kitchen.
I have sat at the bar and at a booth and had undivided attention at both. Burgers are great and are served with potato chip style fries. The clam chowder hits the spot on a day I skip cooking.
There is a smoking and additional bar in the back part of the bar.
Prices are a little overpriced for a sportsbar atmosphere.

My husband and I picked this place because of their .50 cent wing night and ended up getting garlic Parmesan wings, buffalo wings, surf n turf, and the Carolina skiff. The amount of food is insane! This looks like just a bar, but you quickly learn that the chef takes a lot of pride in the food he prepares, and it shows. Manny, the bartender/​waiter was the nicest guy who seems to really enjoy what he does. You can tell that the locals are fond of him with his nearly 7′ towering stature but sweet demeanor. There is a huge back area with a second bar, corn hole boards, and pool table. I will definitely be back to this place!
Only negatives which are definitely not deal breakers… I had to salt the fries and steak but the other seasonings were good, the batter on the shrimp is a little too thick, the ranch dressing was just a run of the milk bottled dip which should definitely be turned into something homemade to go along with those awesome house chips and fries. Overall, awesome place!

I like coming to this place on Wednesday night for their bike nights. Always a good crowd and atmosphere. Waitresses and bartenders are good and quick. Food is good and the beers are always cold. They have live music on bike nights and the other times it is from a juke box. They have pool tables and corn hole boards set up in the back outdoor patio area. good people and a good environment to have a few drinks and socialize. They have a really sweet spot that I am glad to come to.

This place has just an overall great atmosphere. People are nice and quick. And the drinks are amazing!

Food very good, people always nice. Fun place. Had the shrimp and oyster cocktail was very good. Last time I was there had the she crab soup. The soup is great!

Came here for a retirement party for a Co-​Worker.
The bar has a full service kitchen. Friendly, efficient servers.
The bar, is deceptively large. Walking thru the place, you will end up in a large outdoor area, with another serving area, and corn hole and the like for amusement.
Enjoyed our time here.

We stop here frequently on our motorcycle runs. It’s usually our start or end point. Great little place. Nice outdoor space to hangout and you can even play Cornhole. This time we actually ate here. Being a bar I wasn’t expecting amazing food. I was so wrong! I ordered the Tuna Steak Sandwich. It was the best Tuna Steak I have ever had! Cooked perfectly. And the sauce was a perfect addition. They also make their own fried potato chips. They are awesome! I will order this sandwich every time I come here!

Food is always on delicious! Great specials, staff and Chefs!!! ! I have tried almost everything on the menu. My favorite is the steamed shrimp that melts like butter in your mouth! Great simple things to like the wings. Soups and sandwiches are excellent! I just love going there and trying something new and fabulous!

Back again. We come here on a regular basis. The food is always cooked perfect. This isn’t a what you see is what you get. What you get is better !!!

Food was disgusting and the service was awful. I will never go back to this nasty place. STAY AWAY AND GO ELSEWHERE

If you are looking to drink and maybe grab a bite to eat this is your place. If your looking to have a nice dinner and be waited on… Not a place I would recommend. One bar tender services a bar of 15 – 20 seats plus the 6 – 8 booths. Food was alright but certainly wasn’t worth the hassle of wondering who would take your order, waiting forever for drinks…

Very cool little place, the people are friendly and the staff gets the job done. I came on .35 cent shrimp night!!! Big shrimp small check. They always have a special and have fun with the customers.

What an amazing little dive. Seered tuna was perfectly cooked. Ed Cassidy even played me ice cream man. The asparagus was perfectly grilled with the perfect amount of pepper. Bartender was charming and humored a silly old guy.

They have the best she crab soup I have ever had. The sandwiches aren’t my favorite, but I have had the fried shrimp cocktail and liked it a lot. The bartenders are awesome.
What is really neat is there is a semi-​outside bar for the smokers, and a corn hole area for tournaments. I’m not a smoker, but it is nice that people can sit in either area and have what they want.
If you go, have the soup! It is great!
