Three Amigos

I love Three Amigos! It is my go-​to Mexican spot in Chesapeake, in addition to Plaza Azteca. I love their chips and the white sauce! I always order the Arroz con Pollo. The drink specials are pretty cheap most of the time, and this location is alot cleaner than the previous location by the bridge. Every time I go here, everyone finishes their plate clean! I like this location way better than the one in Woods Corner in Virginia Beach. Lots to choose from on the menu, and good service, too!

Food is great, portions are HUGE, service is awesome & quick, and the prices are VERY reasonable.
Oh, I’m not a big Mexican food person but I love this place as they will make your food however you specify.

Chesapeake has an abundance of Mexican restaurants and this one just doesn’t make the grade. Service is slow and the food is average.

This is your typical American Mexican spot, but this is one of the good ones. Always a good experience eating here. I go to both Centerville and Battlefield, they are both consistently good! Clean, fast and a large menu.

Good eats for many years. Lunchtime can be a bit noisy, but that’s the case with most Mexican restaurants.

I am definitely a fan of Three Amigos! The food is delicious, the service is second to none, and the restaurant is very clean. I have tried all sorts of items on the menu and I don’t have a favorite because everything is fantastic. The servers at Three Amigos are very friendly and they sure know how to make you feel at home.
When I’m in Chesapeake and I want Mexican, this is my go-​to spot!

This is your typical American style Mexican fare. I had the chimichangas. I always do! They were really good. I scraped my plate clean! My kids got the chicken nachos. I was disappointed that it didn’t have lettuce tomatoes and sour cream. Which is what I think I’m getting when I order nachos but they enjoyed their chips chicken and white cheese sauce well enough. My husband ordered, the shrimp quesadilla which had shrimp and sautéed spinach inside. We did not care for that. Those two mixed together were an odd combo. The service was average not exceptional but I don’t think I come to a Mexican restaurant for any other reason than I’m craving Mexican style food. I do like this place because it is newer and in my head that means it’s cleaner.

My mother and I had dinner there lastnight. We ordered chicken fajitas. It only came with a half teaspoon of sour cream. We asked for more sour cream and the waitress said she would bring it and then got amnesia and acted like she had forgotten smh
Then it didn’t come with guacamole so we paid an extra dollar to get some and they didn’t even give us a dollop it was like a squirt of guac. They charged extra for the tortillas. The fajitas for 2 was like 20 bucks more expensive than other authentic spots we’ve been too. The mango margarita was smooth and tasty. It had just the right amount of taquila and the medium was more like a jumbo so I was more than satisfied with that. The fajitas were not that great. It seemed like they were a little dry the chicken might have been a little over cooked and it was a decent amount. The white sauce was good but they only give you tiny cups of it. We ran out of chips and had to ask for more. The atmosphere was very nice and from what I could see the bar was very modern with cobalt blue lighting. My mother and I sat at a booth and noticed it was very spatious. We will probably come back for lunch not dinner…

The location was a bit hard to find. The restaurant was very clean and nice looking. I had one of their lunch specials. It was good, but needed something more. It wasn’t bland, just underwhelming. The service was excellent though and the prices were very reasonable.

Reasonably priced, extensive menu with some nice lunch specials. If i lived in the area this would definitely be a regular stop for me.

Great food, but very poor take out service.

Chips, queso and salsa come standard while waiting for your order, and the salsa here is some of the best I’ve tasted locally. I settled on Arroz con Pollo from the lunch menu, and was glad I did. The chicken was flavorful, juicy and well-​seasoned, with a nice char on the peppers and onions. Overall, the dish had a good use of spices, but was not spicy by any means. The bathrooms are clean and modern, with a spacious changing table and room to store diaper bags and supplies below without leaving them on the floor.

We have been going here for years, always a friendly staff. Good food, fast service, yummy fresh salsa! Very reasonably priced, large menu. Tableside guacamole VERY good. Sometimes they’ll have a mariachi band and for summer there’s outdoor seating. They have a large bar area with television too. Highly recommend this restaurant!

Searched all over Chesapeake to find the best Mexican and 3 Amigos is it! The service is awesome, and all of the staff members are friendly and helpful! The Pollo Monterey is out of this world. I can’t seem to order anything else!

My family and I have been coming here for years, even at the old location. Staff is always very very friendly and takes the time to ensure that our food is prepared perfectly. They have probably the best white sauce that I’ve ever had. The bar is a lot of fun on Fridays because they do karaōke night. Queso dip is amazing and so is just about anything on the menu. Always very clean and great atmosphere.

I have lived in 6 different states (I move ALOT)!!! And this is my favorite mexican restaurant EVER. I first tried it 13 years ago (moved about 10 times since), and no matter anywhere else I go THIS IS STILL THE BEST…

We have been frequenting this establishment for years and the service has just gotten better! We love the staff and the food is very authentic. We appreciate how they attempt to accompany any size party and are always cheerful & fast! Thanks 3 Amigos!

This restaurant has consistently served us with zero deficiencies. The host (ess) and wait-​staff are always friendly, and the food has been exactly what we expected and delicious. This Valentine’s Day, spousal unit and I were in the mood for some good food and didn’t want to fight the crowds at a place that exploited the holiday. There was a decent gathering of patrons at 3 Amigos, but we were seated quickly and promptly met by our waiter.
In honor of El Dia de Valentin, we opted for a frou-​frou cocktail, the Latino Lover. It was a fun little drink, but my follow-​up was a Sol and spouse’s was a raspberry margarita. We decided to split the Fajitas for Two and went with the steak version. There was plenty of meat, onions and green peppers grilled up for us, and we had plenty of meat leftover to take home even after we were full.
They have a military discount, which I always appreciate!

Three Amigos was previously located near the locks but moved to a newer facility near the schools. The dining room and facilities seem much improved as does the food quality. Service is still very friendly and prices are reasonable. On my most recent visit I discovered their carnitas entrée (pork pot roast basically) which was VERY tender and full of flavor. Portion was ample and there were sides of rice, beans and flour tortillas. Quite a full meal which I would happily order again.
