Nice seafood bar and grill. Saturday night had a live guitar duo. Playing classic rock.

Awesome meal! Valet parking, big help. Quick responsive service. Great crab dip, she crab soup, house salad was perfect with greens, oysters Rockefeller were awesome! My husband loves BLT’s… Says this is THEBESTBLT he’s had, it was piled with bacon. Next time we will do dessert!

I was so happy to find this great little restaurant. I was visiting my old neighborhood dreaming of oysters and seafood. I went back twice, for breakfast and lunch, because I loved it so much. The staff treats you like you’re one of the family. They even gave me some hush puppies when they noticed I came back. I’ll be dreaming of their fried oysters and bloody mary back here in Chicago. Wish I was still in the ‘hood. Thanks!

Two stars is generous because the manager was very apologetic about dining experience. My family and friends, party of 7(5 adults and 2 kids) wanted seafood tonight so we picked Wicker’s. I have been here once previous for drinks but heard the food was good. The was comparable to Long John Silvers not so good. The server was slow but she did spend a lot of time taking care of the two gentleman in military uniform, which is a good thing but I would have love to have received a refill on my drinks before waiting 20 minutes. Once the food came out she gave me a pair of RUSTY, yes rusted, crab crackers!!! I thought it was a joke but when she didn’t come back with a new one I had enough. On top of the slow service they added a 20% gratuity to my check for my table size so I walked out with a $ 185 bill for sub par food. The only redeeming thing about the whole night was the hush puppies, AWESOME. So I you want so hush puppies go here! I won’t make the mistake of coming back.

I’ve been here a few times and have enjoy it every time. I usually get the fried flounder, but decided to change it up a bit. This time I had grilled chicken topped with crab and cheese. It wasn’t bad, but I wasn’t a major fan of it. They use to have tuna bites as an appetizer. If it’s still on the menu… try it. It gets an A+ from me. On weekends they can be pretty packed. Make reservations!

Wicker’s is one of my favorite places to go to watch my Baltimore Ravens games. When the Redskins aren’t on at the same time it plays on the big screen. It’s the closest thing to a Ravens bar in Hampton Roads and I’ve been here since 2008. The crowds are fun and last year we had about 10 Ravens fans on a weekly basis. The owner Ray is awesome and he is heavily involved in everything. He will often come and talk to you. Having grown up in Maryland, I love football and steamed crabs. Although the only crabs that I have gotten have been the all you can eat small females/males for $ 17, they are tasty and seasoned quite well. There is nothing like a cold beer and 3 hours of crabs while watching a football game. I’ve had the chicken sandwich and I love their wings, especially the old bay wings naked. The staff is friendly, the drinks are cold, and it’s just a great time. I’m looking forward to next season and another year of good times and great food. I recommend that you stop by for a bite and a cold one!

The food and service were mediocre. I had a stuffed shrimp special that was meh. We came with a group for my mother’s birthday and they weren’t accomodating. The hostess and manager were dismissive and lacking for people in the service industry. Even if there hadnt been a group of us, the dining area was cramped and didn’t smell very savory, but maybe it was just that day. The bar area downstairs had some cheap drink specials which was cool, but it was very much a bar atmosphere. Being as this place isn’t on my way to anywhere and the prices weren’t spectacular in consideration of the actual fare served i have more than enough reasons to say meh to Wickers.

Hello crabby goodness! ! I love coming here for their super fresh seafood and laid-back atmosphere. I had to start with the crunchy crab balls; these things are packed with crab meat. My husband loved his blacken rockfish tacos with house made chips and my pan-fried crab cake sandwich was awesome. The service was excellent and I dug the 70’s tunes in the background.

I don’t remember how I’d heard about this place, but I heard the food was delicious. So we went here for dinner on the request of my boyfriend. It’s in a part of Chesapeake I’d never been, but I think it was worth the exploration to find it. It’s a little confusing because there are separate doors for the dining room and the patio seating, so I was a little surprised at first when we walked into the dining room and I didn’t see an entrance to the patio where a band was playing live music. The dining room was quiet with only a couple of other diners. It was the complete opposite of the enclosed patio area that I saw when we first walked in. The food was great. We ordered the seafood mac & cheese as an appetizer because anyone who knows me knows my deep love of mac & cheese. It was so delicious and my favorite thing that I ate! I ordered the crabby chicken for my entrée. I didn’t realize it, but you get two sides with the entrees. I got the sweet potato fries and was so tempted to get the mac & cheese as my side but got the green beans instead because of the judgments of both my boyfriend and my sister. I made a good choice, though, because the green beans were delicious. Everything was delicious. My boyfriend got the snow crab & shrimp pot and loved it. My sister enjoyed her food as well – she’d ordered the oyster po’ boy and a side of scallops. I’m a little torn about the service. Our server was incredibly friendly – one of the nicest people I’d ever encountered. But a couple times, she forgot things that we’d ordered or asked for. The service was a little on the slow side as well. We had to wait a while even for our drinks. I would definitely give this place another chance. The food is definitely worth the trip even if the service leaves something to be desired.

We found Wicker’s based on others reviews. It is a really rustic restaurant, nothing fancy, but the food is delicious! We had the lump crab in butter, all the deliciousness of blue crab without the work! Our daughter had the ½ lb shrimp boat, the shrimp was really tender and lightly battered. We sat in the bar area and it was a fun, neighborhood type of atmosphere. Will definitely go back and recommend this to others!

I looove raw oysters, and I can’t wait to come back for oysters and Crab Mac ‘n Cheese! The FRESHEST crab and oysters I’ve had in Hampton Road they are(Yoda-speak?). Guys, I’ve never seen a pea crab –aka oyster crab– but I encountered a couple in my oysters… living! Apparently, they’re a delicacy and good luck(yes, please). I found them creepy. BUT, they’re a great indicator of how freshly raked up these oysters are! Great prices on the oysters, too. Crab Mac amazing! Crab dip appetizer, served with these thin flat biscuit thingies, was deux amazing! The Po’Boy my friend ordered was great great as well. We sat in the floor level dining room at the picnic tables by the bar. There’s a plenty dining space. Atmosphere is way low-key, small-town, and no frills.

I came here the other day for the first time with a good friend. I thought the location was a bit odd for a seafood restaurant… but ok. When I came in I was informed that there was no lemonade or ice tea that day, so I ordered a Diet Coke. I also got the jambalaya soup. It wasn’t terrible, but there just wasn’t much to it and the fast was ok. The service was nice and attentive. I really did enjoy my time with my friend and they didn’t kick us out even though we stayed talking past their closing time.

The country fried steak was not good at all. The crab cake sandwhich was amazing but the sweet potato fries were over cooked. Crabs were good in bulk. Also the watermelon and grapefruit crush were good. They also sell not your fathers root beer along with Coney Island root beer. Also to note there are NO changing tables in either bathrooms so we will not be coming back while our son is still in diapers

Pretty decent food. Ordered the Crab and Shrimp pot. What the heck is up with Virginia and non deveined shrimp!!! I can’t… 50% of my shrimp still had the boo boo strip :(. So I only ate 25% because I already worked today! The crap was great! Juicy, sweet and cooked perfectly. We also ordered She Crab soup and crap dip… Same dish lol! Not enough menu options. Service was good. Oh oh… They gave us a pack of baby wipes at the end of the meal… real baby wipes… With the baby on the pack lol!

Looking for a crab cake that’s more crab then cake? Find it at Wicker’s Crab Pot. The crab balls are perfectly deep fried lumps of pure, fresh crab meat with just enough stuffing to hold it together. Oysters on the half shell are delicious and huge. The shrimp boat was fresh and perfectly seasoned. The fresh crab cake came with pure crab and zero filling with a tangy chipotle sauce. Delicious! Great waitress: very personable, quick, and knowledgible.

I was so excited to go to Wicker’s with a group of my friends(8 of us to be exact) because I’ve heard the food was delicious. First of all, I made the mistake of not reserving a table because we were told the wait was 45 – 60 minutes as soon as we walked in the door. Then a minute later, the hostess offered us a high top in the patio room, so we graciously accepted. Our server was pretty quick and efficient in getting our drink and food orders. I definitely recommend getting the orange crush because it went deliciously with the seafood. My boyfriend and I ordered the crab dip and ½ dozen raw oysters as our appetizer. The oysters were very delicious and served with cocktail sauce and some lemon. The crab dip was delicious! It was melted with just enough cheese and paired with pita bread. For my entrée, I was torn between the po’boy and wraps, so I ended up ordering the shrimp wrap with a size of baked potato with crab meat. I really liked the flavoring of everything on the shrimp wrap. I would compare it to a fish taco(except with shrimp of course) wrapped tightly so you don’t spill everything. The baked potato fillings were so yummy! The crab meat definitely hit the spot. My boyfriend’s lump crabcake sandwich was good, but nothing to differentiate on any other crabcake sandwich I’ve had. I really liked the chips they served with the old bay seasoning. Overall, I really enjoyed the food at this restaurant. So now comes the part as to why I chose to give this restaurant only 2 stars. Like several other Unilocal reviewers, I was not impressed with the service. My friend received the wrong order, and the server insisted that she would be able to get the order in right away. Fast forward to another 20 minutes later, still no food. My friend ended up cancelling the order, and the server did offer something on the house, but it was way too late for that. I understand that it was busy, but it shouldn’t take that long to fix a plate of nachos. It’s such a shame this place has decent food because the staff definitely hindered my probability of coming back here.

I came here on a Friday evening during the off season and had a great meal with a friend. We went around 6:30−7pm on a Friday and had no wait for a table in the dining room. The outside patio was very lively with music and lots of people. It seemed like a great time, but we were wanting something a little more quiet so we could catch up. It is pretty small inside, but I didn’t feel like I was sitting on top of the table next to me. Our server was very friendly and made some recommendations for us when we said it was our first time. We both got drinks from the bar. They came in mason jars which was a fun touch. I think it had to do with the brand of whisky that was in the drinks. The drinks were tasty, not very strong. About what you would expect from a corporate restaurant. I kept it simple and got the crab legs and a baked potato. They were very good! Cooked well and they didn’t flake apart inside the shell. My friend got the crab and butter, also very good! We didn’t have room for dessert on this trip. We will definitely come back.
