I was in ACME today and they were sponsoring a blood drive. I thought that was a nice community activity

Blah… I had not been to this store for over 6 months because of the generally poor quality of its merchandise. I recently purchased cold cuts(turkey) and it was mostly fatty, gelatinous, slimy turkey. I literally had to fight a gag reflex. It was just enough to convince me to continue to avoid the store, but not enough(about $ 7) to make me drive back to the store looking like malcontent, asking for a refund.

This was the final grocery store that my friend and I visited during our weekend in Hershey, PA. I immediately realized that it had the same brands as the Shaw’s and Star Markets in my area. The self check-out even took my Shaw’s savings card! I wasn’t too impressed by this place. As usual, the prices were cheaper than I would pay in MA but that was the case in every store, grocery, and restaurant. I didn’t see many other customers, and I actually didn’t see any employees. I was there around 6pm on a Sunday and it felt really desolate– not that it matters since I’d rather browse in peace than in a crowd. The bakery looked like it had great items, but I ate so much on this trip that I had to draw the line and be good. I think all I purchased was cheese. Yeah, I’m sort of boring!
