First time there and Wings and Cheesesteak were awesome. Jeff the bartender is a one man show and very knowledgeable about all the great beers on tap.

Located right in the hood of Chester. I came here after an Eagles game looking for a pub type restaurant. This place had your typical pub fare– chicken tenders, burgers, cheese steaks, etc. I got the wings. Nothing bad, but also nothing to write home about. Also they don’t have waiters or waitresses– you just order your food at the bar. I will say that it looks like it is a cool place if you want to drink. They had a lot of beers on tap and nice HD televisions to watch football on. However, if you’re underage and just looking for decent grub, take your ass a little further down 95 and head to Kid Shelleen’s.

Pretty good selection of drafts. A hidden gem in an otherwise scetchy neighborhood. If you are looking for a neighborhood bar feel in delco this is the place to come

Great little place here! Summer seems slow but the staff is always ready to strike up a conversation! Great food, had a steak and some wings that the bartender Mark made and they were fantastic. Short walk from the hotels and its actually not as bad as Chester sounds!

I love this place. The Fat Maggie, a wrap, with mozzarella sticks, fries, and their special sauce. is amazing. Though I wouldn’t recommend eating more than one a month if you intend to keep your arteries clear. During the school year this place is filled with college students on the evenings/weekends. However, during the day this is a great place for an afternoon beer and watch Price is Right on the TV. There is a good variety of regulars here who are always willing to strike up a conversation. In response to Gabriel’s review I have never seen anyone who appeared underage and I have been carded here on numerous occasions. This is certainly not the nicest bar in the greater Philadelphia area but it certainly isn’t the trashiest. I can’t speak on the racism of the staff here as I have not experienced it personally.

Great little place on the edge of the Widener University campus. Safe, short walk from the Days Inn Chester. I had the Philly Cheesesteak with grilled onions. Simple, tasty, and cheap. Also, took a cold six-pack back to the hotel.

I’ve been here twice. The first time I went was during a night out and about on campus. I stopped by with a friend and we ordered drinks. We were unsure on what to get and told the bartender what we had a taste for. We wanted something sweet and he made us a bay-breeze. It was really good. I’ve been reading reviews for their wings and other food items, so I decided to come for lunch after my classes. I ordered 10 buffalo wings with blue cheese. I was the only customer there. I got my food, paid and left. I decided to park on campus to enjoy my lunch in the car. As I was driving to find a spot, I smelled the delicious aroma of the wing sauce. It didn’t smell like some basic pre-made wing sauce either, this place probably added their own touch. However, when I opened the styrofoam container, I was severely disappointed. The wings were dry as all hell and all shriveled up. The meat and bone were literally indistinguishable in some bites. I didn’t even have the energy to go back and demand a new order. I just tossed them. It wasn’t that big of a loss considering the other places I’ve been to charge more for wings. That bay-breeze was good and other drinks were good, but I would never order food from here again. Also, this probably isn’t the bar’s fault, but the crowd does get a little… odd. I’ve encountered my fair share of weirdos here one night.

My friend got a raffle ticket past 11:00 even though the raffle ended at 11:00. Besides that great hang out spot.

This place sucks! Stopped in due to Unilocal find and the bartender and four other Mopes were watching Jeopardy! Really, I realize that Philly sports teams currently suck, but someone is playing real baseball.

BWAHHAHAAA! YES. This place. This place would only be a better dive bar if they had peanut shells on the floor or a slightly frowsy looking woman doing passionately mumbled karaōke on a broken machine in the corner. As the Christmas holiday approached, they had mini pine trees on every table. Nobody watered them and the pine trees died. They stayed on the tables. Little dead sticks in Christmas wrapping paper. It was amazing. You can see it from the interstate, but it’s tough to get through the warren of Chester streets to get to it. Your best bet is to just walk down 17th street towards Philadelphia. When you think there’s no way that a BAR could possibly be back HERE, you’re almost there. The road ends in Maggie May’s, basically. Cheap drinks, cozy space, friendly bartender. Show up 3 times and be polite and you’ll be a regular whose drink orders are remembered. I love this place.

Best litle bar ever. Maggie Mays is located in the Sun Hill are of Chester which is a college area. Great place to stop by after work specially when you have a long stressfull day. The bartender JEFF makes his own hot sauce for the wings. Yes, they area great.

Gotta love the local campus bar. Warning, while the fat Maggie is delicious it leaves little room for drinking.
