Spent a fantastic night out in the Westbrook Lobster with a big group of friends. We were mainly just drinking but we all ordered a bunch of food and snacks to share. Price is very high in here.

This place has become a favorite and the service is beyond satisfactory. The food has always been very good. I like the atmosphere. I attempted to leave them well deserved reviews on The Trip Advisor only to have my reviews rejected. The menu here changes but I have always had a great meal here. Pricing has been very reasonable. I had a lobster roll on my recent visit that was very full will great pieces of fresh lobster.

The food is very good the wait staff can be a little more friendly but over all it’s a good place to eat.

Expensive and sub par food. is what I gathered. I wanted seafood. so being close to the shoreline I figured fish and chips would be a good choice. not the case. The fish was extremely greasy, the breading was like a sponge soaked in oil. The coleslaw was watery and bland. I’d say stick to the burgers, the one at our table looked decent.

One of the things I miss MOST about living in East Haddam was that we were so close to Chester and the ‘conk. Friendliest place, and great food. It’s casual, food is terrific. Their spinach salad was my favorite and I haven’t really found one I love better. In the winter, their chili was just amazing. It’s just a terrific little hangout.

Tried to get a drink but ended up leaving due to the crowd that wasn’t very welcoming.

Should not make someone wait 45 minutes when you tell them 15 and there’s no one in the place.

I have visited this establishment a few times, but only for drinks or appetizers. Frankly, I stayed away because of the mixed Unilocal reviews. Last weekend my husband and I stopped in for burgers and beer. They were amazing! If you’ve been to Haywire Burger Bar, Pattaconck burgers put those to shame. The fries are hand cut and the waitresses are always very friendly and seem genuinely nice.

A huge disappointment. We had been a few years ago to this restaurant and enjoyed it. Sadly not so this time. The fried clam strips were few and far between and the dish contained mostly the breading scraping/leftovers and a huge amount of fries. I asked if the mango salsa was spicy on the wrap I ordered and the waitress said no. At first bite my mouth was on fire and I could not eat it. She suggested a veggie burger as a replacement. It was hard, bone dry, tiny on a huge bun and tasteless as cardboard. I did eat it because by the time it came I was hungry. In the end they did not charge us for my meal.

Good food, friendly, efficient service and reasonable prices. Good locals kind of place, with patio tables. VERY casual! I enjoyed the southern pulled pork wrap. The fries were very greasy, though they might’ve tasted good(spices were good) if they’d been cooked faster(hotter oil). I would go back!

Went for a nice day trip to nearby Gillette Castle State Park. Took the ferry across the river to Chester for lunch with the kids. The inside was quaint and cozy with a small but comfortable dining room. The service was good and the dining room wasn’t too busy for a Saturday lunch. We had the Nachos for lunch which were outstanding. I had the Brunch Burger which was cooked perfectly to my specs and came with the onion rings. The burger was very good and the onion rings were excellent. My wife had the Steak & Cheese sub which she said was very good. One of the kids had the chicken tender kids meal. Let me tell you she is pretty fussy but ate the whole thing. The other one had the adult portion size of the Chili Dogs which were really good also. Overall our experience was great. We would definitely return in the future.

I’m not a fan and I wish they did better. Let me explain. The bar atmosphere is great with a more than ample beer selection. The taps seem like they could be cleaned a tad more frequently but it’s not horrible. The food… the food, lacks any meaningful quality. The bottom-line, stop by for a cocktail and stay away from the food. However, if you must stick to wings, chicken fingers, quesadilla and maybe a salad but honestly nothing really does it for me. People seems to talk a lot about the burgers but they are not that great either.

Imagine being in a small New England town on a Saturday night, pretty close to the Connecticut River, and being in a bar full of people signing along with Billy Joel’s «The Downeaster Alexa»? Sounds like heaven, don’it? There aren’t enough stars for this experience! Now, what’s the Conk like when the above songfest is not going on? A restaurant fulla rustic picnicky charm. Pretty exciting menu, but it was a tad late for me to do a big meal, so I went with the pulled pork sandwich. Chips instead of the jalapeño cornbread cuz they told me I wouldn’t be able to pick the peppers out. Why can’t anyone make cornbread w/bacon, like my mom usta? This is one of the top three pulled pork sandwiches I’ve ever ever had. I kid you not. Fluffy but substantial eggy roll. Crisp pickle slices. Snap! I don’t remember what the rest of us had, except the sweetpotato fries, which I ate a bunch of. Appealingly skinny and crunchy. Fine vittles, especially for a place that looks like it could coast on its rep and put all its attention into the bar.(And that bar was packed as hell. I think I stepped on every toe in the house trying to leave.) The leftovers made a terrific breakfast, tasting superfresh despite a night in the fridge. PS, when my crew burst into«If I Loved You» in squeaky cartoon voices, nobody batted an eye! They musta thought we were auditioning for the theatre next door. Gotta lovit…

I hadn’t been to the Pattaconk for dinner in a while… Been there for apps and drinks but not real food. I forgot how many options they had on the menu. Lots of good burger choices, some good salads, pizza, and several other things. They also have 20 something different beers on tap. I went the day before St Patty’s day and they had a corn beef & cabbage special which was decent. It wasn’t the best I’ve ever had but not the worst either. The corn beef was very lean with almost no fat at all, the potatoes and carrots were good, but the cabbage lacked flavor. However, I love CB&C so it was still a good choice for me. One of my dinner mates had a burger that looked fantastic and the other had the pulled pork dinner which also looked good. The highlight of all three meals was the jalapeño corn bread muffin that came with the pulled pork… It was very good, moist with just enough of the pepper flavor to give it a little bite. I’ll be back soon… Next time, probably a burger.

You’re in connecticut’s most beautiful town so you truly have no reason to complain. I lived in Chester for several years when I was a child and quickly came to appreciate the town’s simple and rustic elegance. A summer weekend wasn’t complete without a fun and relaxed meal at the Pattaconk Grill. What you’ll find here is timeless American classics that will satisfy everyone in your party. As I kid I probably got chicken tenders, a burger, pizza, or a quesadilla… Or maybe a salad… anyway, its all good. Never a bad experience here. And now they have a creamery?! Now that is perfection!

I haven’t eaten here yet, just hung out at the bar. This is a really great bar to hang out, meet cool people, listen to the juke box, and get drunk. They had a great selection of beers too. Unpretentious and wonderful. Longtimers to this bar have their own reserved steins hanging and the darkwood and beer signs are the perfect décor. People are friendly and happy to say hello. Its«Cheers» for CT. 1÷02÷15 finally ate here. Skip the Mac and cheese which was FAR from al-dente. Instead opt for safe options like burgers and fries and on Sundays an AMAZING Bloody Mary Bar. Not a great food value to price ratio but the views are amazing and the dive bar atmosphere is fun.

I just finished a Saturday lunch at the Pattacunk and as usual I had a good time. Kerry our barkeep was friendly and attentive. I enjoy tap beer and got a couple of samples before setting the Hammerhead IPA(good and bitter). I had a very nice burger(tasty meat cooked medium as requested) with toasted bun and a good amount of lettuce and tomato slices. The fries were acceptable but not as crisp on the outside as I like. My buddy got a Cuban sandwich and finished the whole thing before declaring he wouldn’t order that sandwich again; couldn’t have been that bad given his empty plate. Overall I love the Pattaconk and have always enjoyed my time there. I’ve always sat at the bar(ok I’ve had to stand when it is crowded) so I can’t say much about the seating in the back. And I’ve only eaten there a couple of times and had quite acceptable bar food. I’m usually there for a beer. Enjoy.
