Worst vision center I have ever visited. The doctor I saw was rude, not a people person at all. The cost is not what they advertise. I was utterly upset at the cost of my eye exam and one pair of glasses. I could have gone to one of their competitors and received a pair of glasses and contacts for the price they charged. I went here because it was near my place of employment. It has been three weeks and no one bother to call to tell me if my glasses were in. I would not recommend anyone to visit American’s Best on Poplar in Memphis.

This place literally smells like moldy death and you should never walk into this store if you want to hold onto any hope of keeping your food down that day! Side Note: Staff are extremely unfriendly which only makes matters worse!
Update: I went back in and found the place still smelled absolutely repulsive meaning they did nothing about the smell since my review and their response however aside from the screaming children reminding me of chucky cheese the staff were nicer. It’s half smelly daycare and half contact and glasses store

Over two weeks and still waiting on my glasses. I have called multiple times and most of the time end up on hold instead of actually talking to anymore. I will never be going back here once I have gotten my glasses, if they ever do come in, and I will not be recommending anyone else to go to either this one or any other «America’s Best».

I will never recommend America’s Best and am requesting a full refund. I am also going to the Better Business Bureau. My husband and I went in on the 5th of January. Picked up the glasses on the 15th of January and my husband is still waiting for the pair that he had to have redone as they were totally made incorreclty. Furthermore, my glasses are also wrong and I have to wear my older pair just to see. Paying $ 700 for 4 pair of glasses and only 2 of the 4 are mildly correct? Then having to wait 1 month or possibly more? Never again nor do I feel we should pay that kind of money for glasses that don’t work.

I was told over the phone their eye exam was $ 45. After done the exam today they charged me $ 60 and explained the $ 15 was for a optional eye health test which I had not asked for. I had refund back after talking to customer service. This is the one thing I don’t like. But overall experience is good. Doctor is nice and professional.

With America’s Best, you are really getting what you pay for (cheap price, cheap service). I’m an eye-​club member ($ 99 for free eye exams for 3 years) — I have never been truly happy with the service. My membership will be up in a few months– I’m not so sure if I will be renewing.
I explained to my «doctor» about my recent condition with blood-​shot and stinging eyes, and all she said was, «I’m not sure why that would happen.» I’m no doctor, but if a friend asked me that, I’m sure I can provide better advice than the «eye doctor» at this place.
