We hosted an event for clients and it was a great success. Bryan, the owner, kept close tabs on the weather (which was sketchy all around the Richmond area but never came to Robious Landing) and was in constant communication with me and his instructors, Nick & Aaron. I had the opportunity to watch another basic SUP class and saw that they did not have the safety focus that Black Dog has. The clients loved it and I am headed out today with my kids. Nick & Aaron were terrific.

Great business! We had no problems at all communicating and arranging a fun day for our group. After a lot of research and reading reviews of SUP (paddle board) companies, we found that Black Dog had the best equipment and a well trained staff that puts safety first, which is important when I put my kids in the water. They don’t just hand you a board and tell you to come back at a certain time, you actually get some training and supervision! I believe they have been doing SUP in Richmond longer than the other businesses. Really nice experience and people and the kids loved it. We look forward to another fun day on the river!

This business offers services and merchandise. They have good write-​ups i the local publications. The personal experience is different than what you will read. Absolutely the worst customer service I have experienced in 51 years. No call backs on inquiry, one email saying they were sorry and would provide merchandise for inspection in three days, again no call backs. Don’t waste your time.
