They have a 28 day aged New York strip steak that was very tasty. Now that’s saying a lot for me because much of the meat out there today is terrible, and I’ve even encountered examples of this at top rated places like Citizen Kane’s. In any case, the steak tasted great and I enjoyed it very much. The service was decent. They were fast, friendly, and with frequent checks that weren’t so frequent as to be annoying. The only downside, and the reason I’m dinging them a star, is that my medium steak was quite rare(and I hate to send stuff back to a kitchen). Lastly, they could use some new cushions in the booths.

I have been to Mimi’s before but this was my first time for Sunday Brunch and you know my slight aversion to chain restaurants. I was wrong. The brunch was excellent. I ordered Hickory-Smoked Bacon & Eggs which came with 4 strips of hickory-smoked bacon, two scrambled eggs, herbed roasted potatoes, and I chose the carrot raisin muffin as my bread choice. All was cooked perfectly and I couldn’t finish it all. My brunch date ordered Three Buttermilk Griddlecakes with two sunny side up eggs, mixed fruit, and sausage. He loved it and said everything tasted great. He had a big appetite and finished most of the meal. We were blown away by how good this was and we will come back for brunch again. As a side note they usually serve a bread basket at dinner that has a carrot raisin bread in it that’s amazing and their chicken pot pie is great too!

Pot roast excellent. Mashed potatoes just okay. Gravy odd tasting. Green beans flavorless. Decent wine prices $ 7/glass merlot actually had legs and wasn’t bad. Bartender pleasant but stretched a little thin. Gave me my check before I was finished eating. One of my pet peeves. Gave her 18% but that means only adequate in my book. Would try again. Manager seemed vested in customer service but was not good in «seeing and observing«really well. Had tunnel vision. Hostess nice and accommodating to me but felt she could have done better with some of the guests afternoon me.

We had a reservation for a large party and they were very accommodating. Our table was ready at the scheduled time. The sever was great! The food was great! I tried the meatballs, spinach artichoke dip and those mini brown muffins. I ordered the salmon and a salad for my entrée. I will be back for sure!

The Only reason I gave three stars is because our server was very nice. We went for lunch around noon on Black Friday. It was no busier than a slow Saturday or Sunday there. We sat for a bit until we were greeted. We gave our order and waited over an hour for our food. I received the wrong sandwich and the right salad. My husband ordered and received the roast beef sandwich and salad with fries. The food was average. We ordered the ham and cheese crepes and it came out 15 mins before ours. Fine usually but we had fed him so many snacks while waiting that he wasn’t very hungry. It seemed like everyone was waiting a long time before receiving their food. Appeared to be unhappy as well. Thank goodness we had a gift card! I would have been pretty upset if this is what we paid for.

TERRIBLE! Service, food, cleanliness all Beyond disappointing. Salad was drenched in dressing and served with processed chicken. Burgers had black avocados. It took the manager 15 minutes to come to our table after we asked to speak with her(it was not busy at all for a Friday night). She took burgers back to replace avocados and brought back the same burger and grease drenched bun. Some of our food never came out but the service was terrible that we were never able to notify anyone so we had to write it on our check to get any acknowledgement. They obviously do not care about the quality of their food. Would recommend any restaurant in the chesterfield valley over this place.

I have been to many restaurants in my life, this was by far the worst experience I have had. Really bad service and our vegetables were literally rotten, dead flies next to our table. The general manager while refunding one of our meals didn’t really seem that worried about how bad our experience was. Last time I will ever be eating at Mimi’s.

Super good food and an awesome experience! We told our waiter that we had never been to the restaurant before so he walked us though the menu and after we got our food, the manager came over to speak with us. She gave us complimentary muffins for being first time costumes! I will definitely coming back the next time I’m in the St. Louis area!

While the staff was kind and generally courteous, the entire operation was extremely unorganized resulting in patrons arriving at least 10 minutes after us receiving service well before us. The food was reasonable, but not spectacular and definitely not worth the frustration of the wait. We also witnessed a party that was seated outside that never got service. Needless to say, the head of that party was not happy and made sure to let the management know of their displeasure, right in front of our table.

Other customers who were seated 10 min after us, got the waitress first — food wait seemed really long — 30 minutes — and was jest so-so Don’t order side of fruit — you will get 10 – 15 grapes and some orange garnish from the bar — so sad

We have been there for breakfast about ten times or more since we tried it late last year and we have only ever been for weekend breakfasts. It’s great food and in our experience it has been about 90% consistent in terms of portion size, appearance, temperature and taste. I base that on always getting the same four breakfast items between my wife and I. The quiche is as good as some I have had in France. The muffins are great and served warm and the coffee is bold and smoky. They have a great app with offers like«one breakfast free’ with purchase of another a lot of the time which is great. One negative, If you go on a Sunday morning(unless you like waiting) around and possibly getting a hurriedly presented or cold breakfast… get there before 9am!

I was out in Chesterfield and saw Mimi’s Café when I stopped for gas. I was pretty excited to return as I’ve been to Mimi’s when I had visited friends in Atlanta and Arkansas. So after shopping I returned to eat dinner at Mimi’s. First I had to be asked to be seated. Apparently due to cuts in shifts a hostess wasn’t on staff that night. Interestingly enough the wait staff and/or kitchen staff were standing around. No one acknowledged my standing and standing and standing until finally the bartender returned and showed me to my seat. At my table my waiter was wonderfully nice. I had an appetizer and a salad. Both were okay. I wasn’t thrilled with the appetizer but that was my fault for driving past seafood places and ordering Calamari at Mimi’s. It was fried almost like an onion ring. I prefer lightly fried or tempura style. Mimi’s is known for the bread(which did not disappoint), breakfast foods and down home comfort food(and apparently French comfort food). Knowing that I should have ordered a different entrée. So my first impression — not so good. The food — just okay. My waiter — fantastic. If you go get the bread, order a muffin, get breakfast and seat yourself. :-)

Food wasn’t bad but it wasn’t outstanding either. The service was good but the décor and the music was kind of confusing. Didn’t know if it was French Italian or a New Orleans theme. It was a variation of many things. But it wasn’t a bad place just not my style.

Have been there a couple of times and found everything acceptable. The first time we went they were out of the Pot Pie which is why we went, but the waiter was so funny it made it fine to go with the Roast Beef which was good. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The Carrot Bread is excellent and a big plus.

I came here one time before and the experience was a very good one, good waitress, good food. Had I wrote a review then it would of been a good one. This time I took a friend after bragging on Mimi’s Café’s good service, great bread and good food it’s a shame to say not one good component was there. The the wait was double what we were told. After being sat we ordered, a half sandwich, fries and soup for me and pot roast for my friend, I anxiously waited for the yummy breads that I had bragged on… we waited for what seemed like forever and finally here comes our food… what happened to the bread??? I asked the waitress and she tells me I told her I didn’t want bread!!! UM, the bread was why I chose to eat at Mimi’s and I would never ever say no to bread. So instead of just going and getting bread she continues to argue with me and walks away!!! At this point I am irritated, mind you the manager was aware of the situation too. we eat our food which was pretty good. However they forgot my fries and the waitress is avoiding our table like the plague. At this point I just want to eat and leave, this is a wash. Well here comes the waitress with a couple white bread rolls reminding me again that I told her I don’t want bread… UGH. I told her I thought the bread was an assortment of breads… she said they were slicing the carrot bread and would bring it when they were ready… yep you guessed it, it never came. As we were finishing up the waitress finally noticed I never got my fries and asked me about it, I told her we never got the carrot bread either and she told me they ran out of carrot bread. But of course you did, Check Please… The waitress came with the check apologizing, in her hand was one of their delicious muffins boxed for me and all became right with the world. Telling this experience makes me laugh, I feel as if I was being punked.

i appreciated the french décor and specialty items on the menu. i don’t really think the concept works though. its a chain a little like fridays or max & ermas but with a somewhat french themed menu. in the english language, french seems to be elegant. This perceived elegance extends to their cuisine. French food tastes rather plain to me and you pay extra for presentation. Mimi’s is not high end french cuisine. i guess you could applaud them for having french food on a budget? I think I’ve been to fine french restaurants for just a few dollars more. i ordered the crepes for dinner. tried a pumpkin broth, pumpkin bread, their carrot muffins… nothing wowed me but I could try again at lunch or maybe look for some appetizers?

Stopped here on a whim on our way back from Wright City. Didn’t expect much but was pleasantly surprised! Very relaxing, group friendly place without being rambunctious. The staff was super friendly and had great recommendations. Treat yourself to the brie and apples. It is scrumptious. They made a mean tomato basil soup too which was a treat. The price is perfect for the portions. I would love to stop by again!

My college chum and I met for lunch. Got a table right away and had a lovely server. We both got a chopped salad, and both took half home. This was a fine lunch, but it wasn’t spectacular. I’d go again. There was nothing wrong with the place. It was A-OK.

Took kid 2 out for lunch and her first choice was closed so we decided to try Mimi’s. Our server was in the weeds when we arrived but managed to do alright over the course of the meal. The kid had chocolate chip pancakes and sausage links. I left her pancakes alone but did knick a bite of sausage. It was nicely seared and had a great flavor. The kid is pretty picky about sausage but was quite happy. I opted for their special which was a roast butternut squash ravioli with Cajun shrimp in a red cream sauce with wilted spinach. The picture I took really does not do it justice. It was surprisingly good and the kid horned-in on it as well. Her comment was that she liked the pancakes better where we were originally headed but loved the ravioli. I am inclined to agree with her assessment…
