I absolutely love this place! The house is very quaint and the eight rooms are beautifully decorated with Americana, primitives, antiques, and vintage items. The have a large selection of pewter, yelloware and redware pottery, primitive lighting, linens, botanicals, pottery, painted items, quality primitive furniture, and hooked pillow and rugs. Most of the items are ONEOF A KINDPIECES created by true folk artists, which includes holiday items, pottery, pincushions, and more! Another thing I love about the house is that the inventory is forever changing and they have a great selection of holiday items. There is always something new to look at! Every time I shop at Old House in Hog Hollow I find something I can’t live without. And don’t miss the garage sale on the property in early May and the antique sale in early October — lots of treasures to be found. And of course the women working there are wonderful — very friendly and helpful.

This is a cute little boutique in an old home in Chesterfield. We’ve stopped here a few times now when we were visiting family around Christmas. They have lots of little rooms to look through that are filled with beautiful Christmas items, home décor and a few baby gifts. I have always found the sales staff to be very friendly. It’s definitely worth a visit!

Love this store! Built in 1859 and it was an old hog farm. The owner and her employees were all very nice and helpful. They had a beautiful Xmas tree that was decorated in all white that I purchased many ornaments from. They are having their Xmas open house tomrw and offering 20% off. Will DEFINETLY come back!

This is really in an old house. The house was built in 1859, and was the first home to be listed on the Chesterfield Historic Register. You can figure out which room was the family room, the dining room, the sunporch and the kitchen on the first floor. Upstairs are bedrooms and a couple bathrooms that have been repurposed. One of the bathrooms was full of children’s toys, plush animals, pull-toys and the like. This is folk art, Early American, colonial, Americana — whatever you want to call it, but you get the idea. Offerings include scarves, candles(both artificial and real), soaps, quilts, pillows, pottery, linens, placemats, rag rugs and many other soft items. Some of the real candles had spot-on smells, like oatmeal-raisin cookie, Santa cookie crumbles, lavender, sugar cookie. The soaps smelled fabulous, too: oatmeal, lavender and numerous others. And they had hogwash soap, which is an all-natural stain-remover. A perfect offering, for being in Hog Hollow. Lots of furniture. Earrings and other jewelry that were quite inviting. Many hand-crafted decorations. Metal works and wood works of pigs, cows and other barnyard animals. Hand-made dolls. American flags everywhere in many varieties and displayed in artwork, on dolls, framed and other permutations. Many primitive artwork framed originals, some going for upwards of $ 300. On the second floor there are three large rooms, including a 10% off sale room. Here, we found Christmas ornaments and decorations(some metal, some cloth), braided rag rugs, lighted branches to create your own wonderland and many other decorative things. In the kitchen we were generously offered a cappuccino, but we declined, since we’d just had lunch. The kitchen held beautiful little appetizer forks and spoons; silicon lid covers in many sizes; Wind & Willow soup, dip, salsa, cheeseball and baking mixes; red pepper jelly and green pepper jelly; Texas hot rub; and a colander that works for draining as well as steaming. I was a bit intrigued by that. I believe I was silicon. A great lot of quality offerings.

The Old House in Hog Hollow is not some little cottage down a windy road where a little village sits, no, it is a large old home sitting in the middle of the St. Louis area that sells artwork and other things that make it feel as though you are in some small village. Old House in Hog Hollow is a great place to go if you are into old style seasonal figurines or if you know of someone who is. I know of this place because of my mom and the fact that she enjoys putting up neat little figures, all seasonally appropriate of course, around the house. Their Halloween collection is very neat. Some of the statues remind of The Nightmare Before Christmas. Old House in Hog Hollow is a great place to find neat little gifts that you won’t be able to find anywhere else.
