I am pretty sure you have heard about how beautiful and enchanting this place is. They’re not exaggerating. All I can add to those is that this place is the perfect venue to create beautiful, new memories, and to relive nostalgia! Sean Train

This place is pretty spectacular! After leaving the Butterfly House across the street, my friend and I couldn’t resist checking out the carousel. We couldn’t even believe a place like this even existed. We thought it would be overrun my kids and over priced, but we were pleasantly surprised. It was only $ 1 per ride and pretty organized! We were sold! After a short wait we were able to select our spot on the carousel and enjoy the experience. I seriously had a blast! My friend had to drag me out because I wanted to ride again. I’m such a big kid! :-)

Haven’t visited the carousal since I was little girl and it was outdoors then. Still great for all ages! Only $ 2 per ticket. They even have a nice party room attached which was hosting a kids birthday party when we were there. Definitely a cool yes historical place to stop at!

What a amazing draw in an already cool park! The St. Louis Carousel is really cool. The history and fun that is wrapped up in the Carousel is fantastic and kids will love it. In a park that already has the butterfly house and some great playgrounds, the Carousel stands on its own. If you are looking for a great place to take the kids, look no further than here. I think they’ll enjoy it.

It is phenomenal that the parks department has preserved this marvelous piece of history. The St. Louis Carousel, with its more than 60 hand carved horses and deer, was built in 1920 by the Dentzel Company of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In the spring of 1929, Forest Park Highland on Oakland Avenue announced the installation of its new attraction, the $ 30,000 St. Louis Carousel. When the amusement park was destroyed by fire in 1963, it was first moved to Sylvan Park and in 1987 opened in its own building in Faust Park. What a way to relive my childhood and to introduce our kids to the joys of a simpler time. Take a ride

Ok, so I’m a little partial, having had both my wedding and reception at the St. Louis Carousel house at Faust Park, but I LOVE this place. It’s great for a hosted event like a small wedding, a birthday party, etc. My toddler absolutely adores the carousel(what child doesn’t?), which is a functional & fully restored piece of history. It’s a must-visit, if you’re visiting the Butterfly House or even on it’s own. Most recently, we went on a Sunday morning & it wasn’t at all crowded. Tickets were $ 2/ride or 3 for $ 5.
