This was a fantastic event! I’m not going to lie, I’ve half been avoiding these wine and paint places and events, because they seem hokey, and I half just don’t have time for them. So when this Elite event showed up on a night I was free and in need of a little mommy time away from the house, I figured«Why not?» I’m so glad I did! I think this was a really great Unilocal Elite event, because it got everyone on a level playing field. Very few considered themselves artistically inclined, so we all could just relax, enjoy and laugh at ourselves. The wine helps too! Pinot’s Palette was also great. I’d happily recommend them to anyone looking for an activity like this or to try something new. The instructors were really friendly and encouraging and gave great information. Lots of fun!

Pretty sure at least 90% of my Unilocal event reviews say«best Unilocal event so far!» Thats because they just keep getting better and better! Thanks so much to Aaron and Pinot’s Palette for allowing me the opportunity to feel like an artist for a night. I love everything about this concept — it is really fun to see how 50 people can listen to the same set of instructions and each create something unique. Kind of the visual version of the telephone game i used to play as a kid. To top it all off, there are another couple of people who are there to encourage everyone with compliments and show us ways to correct or cover up things that we consider mistakes. Mistake is not a word I think they would ever use, as I really felt that their encouragement was genuine. It was great to see a group of artists getting to be employed to do what they love and encourage people to be creative. Welcome to the community, Pinot’s Palette! I for one will do my part to keep you here.

This was really a lot of fun! I honestly didn’t know what to expect, as this was the first I heard about places like this. But the painting experience was really fun and it was surprising to see how easy it was to follow the instructor. And now I have a cool piece of art for my place!

Last night’s event at Pinot’s Palette was great! Everything was set up so nicely when I arrived at 6:30 and that helped me feel at ease. I made a plate and bartender Aaron poured me a glass of wine. I ate, put on an apron, selected a spot, and socialized. We all got started around 7. A couple of hours later, I had a completed painting that was unique and mine. All this and then goodie bag at the end! Sweet. Thanks, Pinot’s Palette and Aaron for putting this together! Very fun! I shall return with friends!

I had SO much fun at this event. The last time I painted was maybe 5th grade art class so I was a little nervous about how it would go. The instructors made it easy to follow with the completed example and their example in progress. I loved seeing how everyone’s painting was different and unique. Some paint, some wine, a few snacks and good company. I’d call that a win for a Tuesday night. Thanks Aaron!

I had so much fun at this event! Thanks Aaron and Pinot’s Palette for giving me the chance to relax via guided painting in the midst of a busy week! Like others, I appreciated the cubbies they have available for us to put our purses/belongings. I really enjoyed being guided on how to paint the chosen painting by the instructor and her assistant. The assistant especially made me feel better about my lack of artistic skills when she encouraged everyone and gave us really helpful tips. I also had fun listening to the music that the instructor played while we painted – it was upbeat and fun to dance to! At the end of the night I proudly brought my finished painting back home and hung it up on the wall. This is such an awesome idea for a girls’ night/date night/party! I hope to be back again soon!

Thank you Aaron for letting my creative side out for the night. This is pretty much right in my wheelhouse of fun. Give me a canvas, some bright paint, and some wine/beer I am a happy camper. I always like doing painting classes just to see how everyone’s painting turns out. We all get the same instructions, but our paintings are all really different. The ladies that were running the event were very nice and fun and they stroked my ego which is always appreciated! I really want to see your picture hanging up somewhere Aaron! It’s better than you think, we are always our own worst critics!

What a great Unilocal event this evening with plenty of socialization and artist endeavor. Thanks, Aaron, for another great event. This store is Pinot’s first endeavor in St. Louis. It’s a great way to spend an evening exploring your artistic side. Instruction was terrific. The instructor painted as she spoke what she was doing. We were to imitate that. I think everybody took some artistic license. .. which was fine and dandy to do. It was great to see Unilocalers I’ve met before, new folks and those I’ve only known vicariously on Unilocal

You can never go wrong with the genius combo of wine + paint — put a bunch of «grown-ups» in a room with tempera/acrylic paints and giant paintbrushes and it’s like we’re in preschool again. Except this version is so much better because in preschool we didn’t have wine. Oh and I guess we theoretically have somewhat better hand-eye coordination than we did when we were four ;) I was so impressed with how streamlined the entire process is for making art so accessible to the everyday person. It is true that you need not have any art or painting experience to participate, and the instructor gave such clear, easy-to-follow instructions while maintaining a very relaxed and fun environment. Everyone is encouraged to utilize their own creative license in making their painting their own, and in the end, it was really cool to see everyone’s paintings with the same theme but their own unique touches. The studio is very welcoming and well-lit. Having cubbies in the back to stow away our personal items was an appreciated amenity. All of the staff were so friendly and encouraging. I loved that they had staff walking around while we painted to answer any questions and to offer words of advice and encouragement. My only complaint is that there really isn’t any place to set your wine glass down while you are painting because the canvases are placed only a few inches apart from each other. You would have to set your glass behind your painting and risk knocking your water cup or bumping into your neighbor’s canvas if you weren’t super careful reaching for your drink. You could keep a glass perched in front of your canvas, but it gets in the way of your painting. I guess maybe this is only a real problem for people like me who really dig having the whole paint AND wine combo happen at the same time… lol. I took home a nice, vibrant painting that I would be happy to hang on a wall in my home and I am so glad I finally got to try this new, genius trend. I definitely want to come back with more girlfriends, maybe even my mom! Thanks so much Aaron and Pinot’s Palette for introducing us to Wine & Paint! I had so much fun and can’t wait to come back.
