Farmer In the Deli

This review is solely based on the chocolates.
My coworker, a native of Chesterland, showed up at work one day with a bag of chocolates for me.
«Here, Rachael», she said, «have these chocolates from a placed called Farmer in the Deli out in Chesterland by me.»
Expecting just a regular olé chocolate, I took a bite into one of them. «Holy moly, this is realllyyyyyyy good!» I exclaimed.
Apparently, this place has bulk fresh chocolate that you can grab by the handful– my coworker had grabbed me a bunch of milk chocolate peanut clusters and caramel ones as well. The chocolate is so fresh and the peanuts are good peanuts– not cheapo ones, but actually fresh peanuts.
I gobbled up my bag of chocolates like it was no other. Now, I have to go there to have the full experience!

I had previously gone to Farmer in the Deli with great satisfaction but today had a totally opposite experience. Today we ordered lunch for our office (9 people) and went to pick the order up. They handed us 2 bags of food and rang us out. Assuming they had done their jobs, I did not check the bags, paid the total, and went back to my office (25 min away). When we arrived back to office, we discovered that 2 sandwiches were missing from our order. When we called to tell the Deli of the missing food, the owner Ted — a very «charming» man (sarcasm) — immediately took the phone and began screaming at me for calling and accusing me of lying. He then called me back (after hanging up on me) and said he watched the security footage and that we didnt pay for the missing sandwiches, so that made it okay that he missed them on the order. Long story short, the customer service provided was unacceptable and it felt as is we were doing him an inconvenience voicing our displeasure with the missing sandwiches. I will not be back — and if God forbid something happens incorrect with any of you other Unilocalers’ order, I am sure Ted will give you the same «time and respect» he gave to us.

Absolutely terrible service, which is a shame because it completely outshines their delicious food. We made a lunch time order and picked it up, but we were disappointed to find 2 employees were missing their lunch. Unfortunately with them being so far away, we were unable to go all the way back inside our lunch hour. We called later to let them know what had happened. The owner was extremely confrontational, and went as far as calling me back to argue and accuse more. We will never do business with this business again. Not how you treat good customers.

Pizza bagels, Pepperoni bread, the mile high sandwiches, and lunch meat are all amazing!

Love the fresh veggies and fruits, the pizza dough annd cheeses, but our whole extended family l8ves the sandwiches, especially roast beef and chicken salad.

Great place to pick up a meatball sandwich and or the Italian toasted. Great assortments of meats and cheeses.

Impressed yet again with a place in Chesterland that I did not have high expectations for! Kudos Chesterland, you are changing my opinions at every single turn!
I have had two lunches from Farmer in the Deli. First time I ordered a scoop of their tuna salad with some horseradish cheddar cheese — decent experience and a good introduction to a new place! However, it wasn’t until last week, when I ordered a roast beef sandwich, was I utterly satisfied and officially hooked. I got all the toppings (lettuce, tomato, onion) plus the jalapeño havarti. Add a little mayo and a smidge a mustard… Wow. The sandwich was large too! Definitely worth the price of $ 7.99−8.99 depending on your order.

This place has THE BEST chocolate chip cookies! They come in bags and are big chewy and have great chunks of melt in your mouth chocolate chips. If you’re in the area definitely stop by for a bag!
I’ve also had their fresh made sandwiches and the Italian is really great especially with the hot peppers on it. You can’t go wrong with boar’s head meat and they definitely know how to use it the right way.
They also have a grocery area where you can pick up fresh produce or dinner needs.
Writing this review already has me craving a tasty sandwich with a cookie dessert!

Having traveled around the world and across the country, it really doesn’t get better than this. You just can’t beat the flavor of their sandwiches, and every time you walk in, you’re greeted with a warm smile and a friendly greeting.
I stop in every time I’m back in town. Love it.

One of the first patrons in this store. Every Monday since Teddy opened the store I bring home sandwich’s that are top shelve meats & cheeses. Produce is excellent, Fresh bake bread. The employees are friendly and courteous, Tom, Doreen, Mike, to name a.few. This place reminds me of a local deli from the old neighborhood when I was young. Best thing that ever happened to Chesterland. «il meglio!»

Awesome party tray I purchased for my staff for teacher appreciation week. Potato salad is great. The homemade fresh breads are sooooo good.

Farmer and the Deli has been such a gift to Chesterland. In a town with the worst Giant Eagle ever! Farmer and the Deli is a great alternative to get fresh produce. Farmer and the Deli has a variety of produce, meats, cheese, prepared food and more. They carry Boars head meats. Farmer and the Deli makes their own bread and have different prepared food everyday. They have great subs! There is house roast beef with Havarti jalapeño cheese is to die for! Farmers staff is great– always greeting you with a smile. It is always a pleasure to go to Farmer and the Deli

Farmer in the Deli is by far my favorite local establishment in Chesterland.
Their food is amazing and their deli has a vast selection.
If you haven’t been there before, order their Buffalo Chicken sub — comes with Jalapeño Havarti cheese and a chipotle mayo. It’s not officially on the menu, but everyone working there knows how to make it — it’s to die for!

Great prices, good selection and the sandwhich are among the best. Don’t plan to eat there mostly take out. Good Boars Head Meats and usually a nice soup.
Old fashoned deli with fresh fruits. A keeper!

Prices are really good but that is just icing on the cake. The real review is that the selection. And quality is outstanding. The atmosphere and people really top it off. Great place to shop and amazing sandwhiches to be had
