EXCELLENT breakfast! The food quality is very good. You can taste the fresh ingredients. We’ve yet to have anything that was not good.

Had breakfast there today — like we do most Sundays. The food is always excellent. Real maple syrup. Freshly squeezed orange juice. Delicious baked goods. Try the Third Coast Omelette — you won’t be disappointed. Great service.

Third Coast Spice was our pick when we had gluten-sensitive family visiting from out of town. We, ourselves, were also new to the area. I loved the healthy menu, and my Uncle, who prefers dives and family restaurants, loved it, too! In short, we had about five different types of preferences and Third Coast addressed them all! All of their food is fresh and made with real ingredients — no mixes, no additives, fillers, etc. The orange juice is fresh squeezed. The coffee bar service is ok, and the desserts are ok, but the real killer is the food, which is absolutely amazing! :) The staff is friendly. We have taken large groups here for birthday celebrations, and visited just as family enjoying a nice breakfast or brunch. Excellent staff and service. The only thing I would change is that we love hash browns and home fries in our family — they are an American staple and can be blanched prior to frying for health reasons. Would be an excellent addition as a side to many breakfast dishes. Love this place!

We eat here often. It’s one of the only restaurants in town that doesn’t serve up a plate of brown food. I like the salad and vegan options. The kids can get a kids cob which is chicken and veggies served in a kid friendly way. I take all of our out of town guest and everyone always enjoys it. Traditional american diner along with some vegan and plant based options.

Healthy yummy food for breakfast for the family. Portions I thought were great for the price and quality. They use cage free eggs, have gluten free options and an awesome kids menu. They use local ingredients when in season. I had the chili bowl and my husband the corned beef hash. We both left stuffed. Their hash browns are from scratch. Our server was super nice and attentive and rolled with it when our toddler was being fussy. She kept our coffee cups full too. There is a play table near the front with puzzles and books which helped distract our daughter. And both the men and women’s bathroom have changing tables! Love it!

Love fresh orange juice. Love seeing the organic ketchup on all the tables. Love the eco ‘to go’ containers. Didn’t feel like the place is overpriced at all. One ‘to go’ dressing was wrong on my order but fixed promptly. Felt like the vegetarian chili was a bit too spicy. Love that the employees seem to geniunely care.

Loved the food here. This was our first time and we will be back. The server was fun to talk to. I had an omlet that was one of the best I have had. My wife had pancake and they were great also.

Just ate there for breakfast… way overpriced for 2 small overcooked eggs, hard overcooked basic string hash browns, 2 very thin tiny pieces of bacon and harvest wheat bread that the crust was so hard I could barely chew it… all for over $ 9. And we had to ask for more coffee.

I’m giving this one 4 stars right now because I want to revisit it and try some more of there menu and I’m kind stingy with 5 stars. I came here for breakfast and right when you walk in it has a cozy atmosphere and even had a little area for kids to play in so you can tell it is a family friendly place. The other thing that you notice right away is that the take a lot of pride promoting a health lifestyle and pride themselves on using a lot organic and having a lot of gluten free items. For breakfast today I got the Third Coast Omelet which was a two or three egg omelet made with peppered bacon, caramelized onion, avocado, tomato, and sharp cheddar cheese. Omelet was pretty good I enjoyed it and the only ingredient I didn’t taste was the bacon though other than that it was perfect. It was just unfortunate because that is the only omelet besides the southwest or build your own that isn’t vegetarian but then again I am going to come back and try other menu items. My omelet did come with hash browns that where cooked perfect unlike most places and some of there special harvest grain toast, which I assume they make themselves and it was awesome! I had a coffee and some of there fresh squeezed orange juice which was awesome but is pricey for a small so keep that in mind. Overall this is a great find and can’t wait to try other menu items from this place for both breakfast and lunch. It has a diverse menu for both breakfast and lunch and I really like the fact they use a lot of organic items and they have a lot of Vegetarian items which is nice. I am also impressed with them promoting a healthy lifestyle that’s the feel I got from there I even liked there little salt and pepper shakers which you don’t really need because the food taste great! Just keep in mind it is going to cost a little bit more.

Simply the best! Cannot say enough about the tasty, healthy and original menu here. The service is great. My goal is to make it through the entire menu but it’s hard to not keep going back to my favorites! Omelette share heavenly. My kid devours the pancakes with the cinnamon butter and you can watch them freshly squeeze your orange juice. Third Coast is a must try!

I just got a chai latte here — too sweet(and expensive) for my tastes, but I love the staff and vibes of this place(especially given the location) so I gave it an extra star!

Neat little place, many local items and organics. Only ordered espresso drinks but browsed the menu while I waited. Definitely have many interesting items available and would eat here if we were in town longer. Fresh squeezed orange juice available, not typical in the mid-west

This place was pleasantly amazing. From the décor, the staff and most importantly the awesome food. The menu was traditional yet it had a gourmet flare. The«gravy train» was exceptional and the custom omelets were amazing as well. I’m from California so we have our share of chic breakfast cafés, but I would come back here in a heart beat!

My boyfriend and I went to Third Coast for brunch today and it was okay. I ordered the biscuits and gravy and he had the corned beef hash. Both dishes were average. The prices here are very high. Our bill was almost $ 30 for the two dishes I mentioned and one coffee. It was not worth $ 30. The food was nothing special and the portions were of average size. At this price point all dishes need to be unique and delicious, but Third Coast offered nothing that I found to be special. The service was good, but I don’t think I’ll be back.

First off, yes this place can be pricey, but hello, if you’re looking for healthy DELISH food, then why not pay more? If you’re looking to be a penny pincher then go to Denny’s, its that simple. Anyways, got a little sidetracked. My bf and I visited Indiana twice so far to «get away»(Dunes, beaches, hiking, etc) and we’re not health nuts by any means, but we try and eat healthy when we can. Also when we travel we like to kind of take advantage of places that aren’t franchises, so we wouldn’t have them in Chicago. Hence, us trekking here to eat to start our days. The first time we can to indy we ate here when this place was still new and expanding, I don’t remember my meal much(3 – 4 years ago) but I remember loving it and the OJ was fresh squeezed. This past time we came, we noticed that the restaurant finally looked«completed» and had a larger menu. I ordered a southwest style omelet that came with whole grain bread(toast) strawberry jam. I also got flapjacks that came with cinnamon butter and maple syrup that was actually mapley and didn’t taste like I was just eating liquid sugar. My boyfriend also had an omelet and hashbrowns and we both had oj and coffee. First thing we noticed, yes the oj is still fresh squeezed. and the coffee tasted homemade(not the bitter grainy flavor some places have with a pot that probably hasn’t been cleaned). Also the omelet was incredible. A lot of times I get omelets and theyre either not cooked right or the veggies inside are over seasoned, or the cheese is a running mess, yuck. Not here, the egg was perfectly fluffy and seasoned, with the veggies added a nice flavor with the shredded cheese on top. My bf’s hashbrowns had a nice smoky garlic flavor to them, and the jam had chunks of stawberries in it. The best part to me were the flap jacks. I LOVE flap jacks. But this is a simple thing I feel not a lot of restaurants execute well. Either they taste like fluffy paper, or they taste grainy, or they’re too sweet(like sugar was added to the batter). Not here, it was the perfect balanced of what you would expect grandma to make you on a Saturday morning. Besides the food, the setting is real nice, lots of colors and very friendly servers. They had a few bees outside near the patio area, but remember, Bees are Bros, so we didn’t kill them just shooed them away and they left us alone. When we left, we left FULL, for most of the day. Next time we’re in Indiana, we’re coming back here for sure.

My husband and I decided to stop for breakfast on our way home from Michigan. This was the BEST decision we could have made! This may have been the best breakfast I have ever had! I had the belgium waffle with cinnamon butter, whipped cream and a side of sausage. The waffle was cooked perfectly with a crispy edge and soft center. The cinnamon butter was a nice touch. The homemade whipped cream was amazing. The sausage was perfectly cooked too. I also had a cinnamon cake latte which was also phenomenal. I didn’t need to add anything because it was perfect :) My husband had the healthy scramble and was very pleased with it. He said the bacon was perfect and not greasy at all. He also had the fresh squeezed orange juice. They had a squeezer which you can watch the waitress load oranges onto. I swear, she must have loaded 10 oranges onto this thing! Our waitress, Peggy, was probably the sweetest woman alive. She was just so nice! The atmosphere is great. It is very clean and bright and trendy. Sometimes, diners seem a bit divey. But, this place was not divey at all. I thought it was quaint and cute and would love to come back here again. In fact, I told my husband that we are definitely coming back here on our next trip to Michigan.

Three stars seems low for the quality of food and service for this restaurant, but 4 stars seems high because I gave 2 other restaurants in Chesterton(Octave Grill and Red Cup Café) that have better food a 4-star rating. We stopped here for lunch and got the Heartland(roast beef with carmelized Cajun onions) and a burger with Poblano salsa, carmelized onions, and avocado on a pretzel bun. The Burger was good, but I was disappointed that the Poblano salsa didn’t have more heat and more flavor. I thought that the food at Octave Grill was better but they aren’t open for lunch. The service was friendly and fast so it was an easy place to stop off I-94.
