We greatly enjoyed our stay in this comfortable and beautifully decorated Inn. Breakfasts were delicious, and the owner/hosts couldn’t have been more welcoming. The living rooms were perfect for time spent with friends (that we traveled with) and the bedrooms were lovely and comfy.

My wedding was held at this inn. The setting was beautiful. However the feel if this inn and the attitude of the owners really made out wedding perfect. The owners did everything they could to help. They are laid back, but in a good way! They are so professional. We still receive compliments from friends who stayed in the main house at the inn about how our wedding weekend felt like a vacation. The cottage, which is new and so lovely, is the perfect spot for newleweds and we cannot wait to return on our anniversary.

I don’t have too many details to add to what is already written here and at TripAdvisor, but just want to bolster the averages with another good review. The innkeepers are seasoned veterans, but are genuinely warm and appear to love what they do. The house is charming, comfortable, and historic. The breakfasts were delicious. When we wanted a fire in our room one night, Tracy immediately brought up a Duraflame log for us. I can’t believe that it costs as much to stay at a crummy freeway motel as it does to stay here. The value is incredible, and my husband and I will definitely be back.

This is one of the nicest B&Bs that my wife and I have stayed in. Breakfasts were amazing and served in a cute little dining room. The house was beautifully decorated in a country style, with some lovely central sitting rooms; the bedroom was spacious and updated; bathroom was large and nice. The hosts were lovely, and helpful. The setting was gorgeous and so relaxing… with a private pond, adirondack chairs, thousands of fireflies, a relaxing tree swing, a little bridge with a bench, and fresh herbs and berries everywhere (we were there in late June). The rooms have window air conditioners. The house has (barely) functional wifi (internet), free coke in the (shared) mini-fridge, and cable TV (TV was tiny). Coffee is ready before breakfast in the morning, which is nice. Parking isn’t a problem at this place… though the location is a good 10 minute drive from just about anywhere you want to go. Very relaxing and welcoming place, and at a price that is affordable.

We had a wonderful, relaxing two nights at the Inn at Mitchell House. It is perfectly situated a stone’s throw away from Rock Hall, yet off the beaten path. Breakfast on day one was a perfect gruyère and mushroom frittata with juicy grapefruit, fried potatoes, and homegrown thyme. Day two was french toast with fresh strawberries. They have wi-fi, and were fine with my partner-in-crime lounging during the afternoon to catch a game. The easy-going owners, The Stones, have several pets, so be warned if you have allergies.
A great relaxing stop just a short drive from DC.
