New York Kosher Style Deli

Having been raised in Jersey, and attended my basic Nursing program in Upstate NY I’m quite familiar with Jewish Deli’s, and I’ve got to say I was a little disappointed. I love beef brisket, and since they carry it, I just had to have a sandwich (see picture).
Of course while ordering my sandwich, I stick my foot into my mouth almost as far as the knee… LOL!!! While ordering, and not looking at the business’s name I asked them what kind of cheeses do they offer? LOL… cheese in a Kosher deli… LOL, possible to do, but too darn expensive because it would require it’s own containers, refrigerators, plates, and utensils. And would never be served touching meat!!!
The breads are standard commercial bakery breads that you can buy in the bread isle at the ACME, A&P, ShopRite… etc, so nothing special to write home about.
Based on my sandwich which was piled high with brisket (see picture) and had a lovely horseradish aoli, I would have given them 4-​stars. My sandwich was served with a pickle spear??? (you gotta be kidding, it was a sliver!!!), and a 2oz scoop of coleslaw. The pickle was horrible… sour off-​kilter taste, similar to milk that’s in the process of turning. The coleslaw was decent, not awesome, but decent.

Minus 1 star for the $ 12 price tag of the sandwich and $ 3 can of Coke Zero
The coleslaw was mediocre.
I might go back, but I seriously doubt it.

Terrible for a supposedly New York style deli. If you have tasted great jewish style deli in NY, Chicago, etc., don’t bother, you will be very disappointed. The corn beef is not homemade (Hebrew National) served cold on rye you could buy at any old grocery store. The cole slaw was supposedly homemade, but not good. The soup was ok, but for homemade and the price, it should’ve been much better. These guys have a lotta nerve saying they are a NY style deli! I say wait until you can go elsewhere.

Awesome sandwiches and deli products!

Great overstuffed sandwiches. A bit pricey but if your hungry, will hit the spot.

Pretty good sandwiches but not top rate especially for the new York prices.
