I attended Cody’s class for four months now and I definitely recommend this class to anyone who wants to be strong and healthy. At first, I thought it’s similar to crossfit, but after a few classes I found it’s different. I think it’s much safer and well balanced. You don’t need to compete with anybody except yourself. I really enjoyed this gym and I’m sad I can’t go there any more due to moving out.

I attended my first lift class with Cody about six months ago. I have struggled with knee pain for many years, having four knee surgeries(2ACL) on the same knee. Being a competitive high school and college athlete this was difficult for me to deal with. I have a history of finding gyms/exercises that works for me and I begin to feel stronger, but then end up injuring my knee again and have to stop working out altogether. I had one doctor tell me that I needed a fifth surgery. In 2015 I injured my knee again and was not able to exercise for several months. Wanting to get back into shape I decided to try out Harter Strength, but I entered with very low hopes based on my previous knee problems/experiences. I can say that I was completely wrong, Cody has changed my life! My knee has never felt stronger and overall I feel physically and mentally stronger. Cody has been a wealth of knowledge to rehabbing my knee and very supportive and motivating. I have learned which exercises to completely avoid and Cody is able to adapt each exercise for me to receive the same benefit. I love that I can walk away knowing that I got an amazing workout in such a supportive environment. I high recommend Cody!

Cody’s classes are amazing! The HIIT and LIFT classes really complement each other well. The classes are at most 8 people, so you get individual attention. Highly recommended!

This review is for the group training classes: Cody is hands down the best trainer I have ever worked(out) with. He keeps his group classes small so every workout feels like a 1:1 session. Cody truly gets to know each of his clients on a personal level and fits his workouts to their individual needs. If you want a fun, challenging, and supportive workout environment, Harter Strength and Conditioning is the place for you!

Going to Cody’s classes is probably the most efficient, genuinely tough, work out you can do in ~ an hour. His small group training HIIT and LIFT classes are the perfect mix of arerobic and strength training and provide most of the benefits of having a personal trainer without the full cost of personal training. Classes are fun and challenging. I’ve seen real progress in my strength over the past 6 months that I have been going 2 – 3 times a week. As a mom with a busy professional schedule, I find the ability to be in good shape without spending hours at the gym a huge benefit. Cody also does a great job tailoring the work outs to the participants who happen to be in each class. He can make classes easier or more difficult so that everyone in the group can participate. I’ve seen this firsthand with starting up 6 months ago in terrible shape and now increasing the weights and reps that I can do. I push myself much harder because of the group atmosphere and have seen great results in terms of strength and feeling good!

I have been working with Cody for the past few months and have had such a great experience! He is super knowledgeable and helps me to understand the rationale behind all of the exercises that he teaches me. He encourages me to do workouts that I never thought I could do. Man oh man I have amazing things to say about this gym! I was on ClassPass when I first tried it out. I was full-on-hooked after my first class. I had not seen anything like it on ClassPass before and it had been what I was searching for since I moved to Boston. I wanted to find a place where I could really be pushed physically. All the cycling, barre, yoga classes I had been taking for a year had not been giving me any visible results. It was definitely not the physical and mental challenge I was craving. In January I started going to Cody’s 4 – 6 times a week. After 8 months of training with Cody in his HIIT and LIFT classes I am stronger beyond anything I ever thought I was capable of doing. I can lift a lot heavier than I used to, my endurance has vastly improved and for the first time in my life I have legit muscles! I feel stronger and more confident in myself and it is all because of Harter Strength & Conditioning. When you take a LIFT or HIIT class you feel like you are part of a team. Everybody is encouraging each other to do better. We all push each other to work harder and achieve goals. The environment is super supportive and there is a healthy dose of competition in involved. It becomes less about«clocking in a work-out» and more about participating in something challenging, and dare I say it, fun! Cody is a true professional and makes sure all of his clients keep excellent form and perform the movements correctly. He changes the classes up so you never really know what your walking into. He has an impressive background in all kinds of sports training, personal training, CrossFit training and much more. For whatever personal goals you have, he will help you reach them. I highly recommend trying out one of his classes. You will be absolutely hooked! There really is nothing else like it around :)

I’ve had a variety of trainers over the years and confidently rank Cody as the best of the best. He is truly invested in the well-being of his clients and is a student of his profession. He has a deep understanding of so many training methods, he can address virtually any fitness, rehabilitative or athletic goal. With Cody’s help, I have achieved things I never thought possible — I took up boxing under his guidance and am currently training for my 2nd amateur fight.
