Mario and his son, Pat, have been most helpful to me. Over the years I have gone to them with many types of alterations for myself and as a service for my male and female customers. Overall, they are reasonably priced, when you consider the level of workmanship and service. They are very dependable and a few times been able to help me with a rush job (next day)! Worth every penny. Bring your checkbook — they are a cash only operation.

Workmanship is solid but overpriced — that and they DON’T ACCEPT CREDIT CARDS! I have had suits tailored in numerous cities and NEVER have I run into a CASH ONLY situation.

Mario is an excellent old world tailor. He altered 4 Hickey Freeman suits for me and after all was done, they looked like they were custom made. Only $ 80 a suit and well worth it.

Super quality. But he charged me $ 150 to shorten sleeves, cuff pants, let out shoulders, and a little on the collar. I was amazed. Brooks Brothers sent me here when they got backed up.

Mario is terrific. Excellent work, friendly and competitive prices. I no longer live in Newton but trek there when I need good tailoring. I’ve had several formal dresses (he doesn’t do wedding gowns) including a bridesmaid dress altered here. Everything from hems with crinoline to darts to taking up straps.
