Mi Cocina

I consider Mi Cocina a ‘gem’ in Chevy Chase because for the price and ambiance, you can’t beat it. When you walk in you’ll assume you’re about to sit down for a swanky expensive meal… BUT the pleasant surprise is when the server brings you salsa & chips. Individual salsa dishes for each diner — they’ve clearly thought of everything :) Did I mention the salsa & chips are bottomless. See, I told you, a real gem in Chevy Chase.
The food is pretty good, standard Mexican fare, no surprises, which is a good thing when it comes to Mexican. There’s a combo option at the bottom of the menu – my entire table went for that. We mixed and matched enchiladas and tacos, and it was much cheaper than buying the enchilada and/​or the taco entrée. The combo’s come with beans and rice, and most importantly the caloric content… so it’s a great way to make sure you don’t binge eat. All in all a great experience, we will definitely be back!
