This was a beautiful, wonderful place to stay. The views are of the whole valley. Beautiful. The beds are very high quality with memory foam toppers.(Better than any I have ever stayed in any hotel) The living area is very nice with leather furniture, big screen tv; all the amenities. The breakfast is rolls or turnovers, cereal, fruit, access to coffee maker. The owner was very very helpful. The property is NOT elderly friendly with multiple stairs to room, living areas, etc. We rented a room in the lodge with a bed and pull out hide a bed couch. There are NO rooms with 2 beds. We also rented the cottage which was great for the little kitchen but had some draw backs: Very limited room to walk around the bed in the tiny but cute bedroom.(We had to sidestep to get to bed.) The bed box spring did not fit into the bed frame correctly and we finally gave up sleeping on the left side of bed due to this. The toilet was kind of loose. There were missing screens on windows. WIFI was iffy, but fine in main lodge. There is a path and steps to get up to the cottage(kind of a converted remodeled mobile home) But this place served our purpose well and the owner, Rose, was incredibly helpful as we were there for a family emergency. I wish I had known about this place sooner.

Great place to stay if you are traveling through or just want to stay to enjoy the beautiful town of Chewelah! I am normally a Hilton girl but the closest one is in Spokane and I didn’t want to do that drive. This was better than some of the Hiltons I have stayed in and the customer service you receive makes it worth your time. Rose is the owner and was a great host at this B&B. She will take care of you and make sure you have everything you need for your night. The bed was extremely comfortable with a feather top mattress. Bathrooms were clean and room was clean as well. Had a fridge in the room and your own coffee(you know, the normal stuff). Breakfast was a nice set of fruit, cereals, yogurts and breads. Excellent place to stay if you are in the area.

What a nice surprise for an area without many lodging options. Was skiing at 49 Degrees North and didn’t want to book a hotel in Spokane and drive up. Saw the Mountain View Lodge listed on the ski areas web site and decided to give it a try. Great Location and Setting: 8 miles from the ski are meant a casual morning having breakfast and getting ready and still on the lifts by 9:00am. Located at the top end of a sloping pasture with great views out across the valley and surrounding mountains. Quiet, peaceful and the stars at night were amazing. While we were there for skiing this place would be great during any season of the year. Good Accommodations & Breakfast: I’m not a big fan of B&Bs and the Mountain View Lodge is more hotel with common great room than a traditional B&B. Stayed in the Canopy Room, nice, comfortable, roomy and nice view of the valley. I was concerned the Great Room might be the owner’s living room and we’d feel like we were encroaching on their space but their living area is separated from the guest wing of the lodge and we felt very comfortable. Breakfast was perfect for what we wanted. Fresh fruit bowl with strawberries, kiwi and melon, yogurt, selection of breads and pastries, oatmeal, granola, cold cereals, juices and coffee. Put out in the Great Room in the morning in the fridge and on a cart for self-service at your convenience. Several bistro style tables mean guests can decide where and how to sit. Great Hosts: Rose was awesome both prior to and during our stay.
