Shang Hai Restaurant

Since I have a new updated phone I’m gonna start reviewing all establishments. My husband & I moved here (not my personal choice) from Sacramento County in 2010. We are originally from Cali and are both spoiled by eating out. We decided to try this Chinese restaurant back then as there is only two in Stevens Co, the other not recommended by my husband’s relative. Atmosphere was blah. Owner’s children were doing their homework. The dishes we ordered was yuk and later disagreed with our stomachs. My husband said my Chinese cooking was so much better than theirs. We enjoy our international and American dishes safely at home cooked. It’s too bad the residents here don’t know what real Chinese food is. Once was enough for us.

This place has very good food. Nice family business. Our favorite is spicy garlic chicken. We eat here frequently and have enjoyed our food. We use take out more then dining in. Chinese take out is an American tradition. Lol.

This is THE WORST Chinese food I have ever had. Its a disgrace to other Chinese restaurants. Not only was the food poor and undercooked, we heard the chef in the kitchen spitting loogies and blowing his nose. GROSS! Also, my boyfriend and I felt sick to our stomachs after. We moved here about a year ago from California.(&NO! we AREN’T spoiled, we just know what good food is!)
I wouldn’t expect people from a small town like Chewelah to know good food. I mean, look at the restaurants around here. But this place is definitely the worst and I don’t know how it’s still in business. NASTY FOOD AND DIRTY INSIDE. Don’t go here unless you wanna be sick!
