7-Eleven

TOP SECRET BREAD LOCATION:
The WORST experience at a 7-​Eleven ever!!! I have been going to 7-​Elevens all my life. My dad used to take us there every Saturday with a quarter to choose a treat, decades ago… We use the one on Sheridan and Pratt all the time, and they are great there. I just had an operation so I sent my husband out to get English muffins there, but they were out (they usually have them).
So he went all the way down to this 7-​Eleven on Devon and Sheridan, thinking it was bigger and better. They did not have them either. So, my husband called on his cellphone and told me some of the other breads, and I said what I always say when my husband is shopping: «just text me a picture of the choices and I’ll recognize what kind I want». We do this in Jewel, Whole Foods, CVS, the other 7-​Eleven, etc… well, there’s my kind husband taking a photo, and the man working there comes up and stops him and says «no photos allowed!». So, since my husband was banned from taking photos in 7-​Eleven, even after explaining what he was doing, we took our business to CVS and will continue to do so. Apparently, there are top secret breads in there that no one can know about or take photos of???
I called to complain and was told the manager was not in… the man confirmed you may not take photos in there. I said I would call the manager tomorrow. I asked his name twice, heard silence, and he hung up on me!!! *POOR* service to say the least.

Nice store with a very friendly staff. Well stocked and clean. One of the few places that sells alcohol in the area.

Five stars because the owners are pretty nice (they let me pay for lottery tickets with my debit card even though lottery tickets are supposed to be cash only), the store is clean, and it’s close to the Loyola campus.

I stop in this place 2 to 3 times a week for random items and the folks here are always friendly and smiling. There is usually pleasant music playing also so its a nice touch. Store is well stocked and clean YAY!

Never had a friendlier convenience store experience.

I work only steps away from this 7 Eleven. The owners are kind and ask if you need any help. It’s always clean and neat. Never a problem there.
