7-Eleven

Came looking for lunch size brown paper bags but they didn’t have any. The gentlemen working behind the counter tried to help me but we weren’t successful. He was very kind and courteous.

Great location for commutes in and out of OTC. Good and cheap beer and snacks.
Then cut across Clinton to access the entrance top the mid platform stairs.

SLURPED UP
The city is so big and there are many stores to chose from. This 7-​Eleven seems to be lost on the map. If you open up the 7-​Eleven mobile app it tells you this location is at 550 West Washington but when you get there it’s an office building. Then comes the big choice which way do I search on the store fronts South or West. My GPS dot hinted towards South and sure enough the front door was roughly at 110 South Clinton. So just be aware when searching for this location it’s going to be a small adventure. It’s official address is not actually the front door.
The staff was friendly and the store was very clean. One of the reasons I want to share this location is that they have a great beer special which is what you need prior to boarding the Trains. The location of this store is perfectly positioned across from the French Market and Oglivy Station. You can purchase two 24oz cans of Miller brand beers for $ 4. Now that is a great deal and it’s less hectic over here then dealing with one of those mobile beer carts at the train station.
Don’t forget the snacks too. Hey you’re about to get on a train and you’re going to get the munchies so stock up on your favorites. This place is typical 7-​eleven with all of its bad choices but I did notice a section that looked kind of healthy. There were a bunch of pre packed meals like sandwiches and wraps. It really caught my eye with its white lights and green packaging. It is not the typical cooler you see at a 7-​eleven. This is a healthy alternative to the Big Bite Hotdog or Loaded Doritos.
So before you ride the rails grab some brews to go. The prices are good and you will be glad you did on your long commute home after a hectic day at the office. All Aboard it’s Miller Time!
