I enjoyed a $ 5 pizza from 7 – 11 today. It is a decent pizza. It’s not the best pizza ever, but let’s not kid, you paid $ 5. Provided said pizza is edible and doesn’t taste like dogs**t, you are coming out way ahead of the game.

Andale! Location: 5 out of 5 2 minute walk/30 minute scamper from my office building at Clark and Jackson. Not much else to say. Customer Service: 4 out of 5 As someone else has noted, the cashiers here are all quite nice. I’ve seen other clerks at other locations give the what for to people who are taking to long, people who look suspicious, people who pay in pennies, people who count out lottery tickets in pennies, etc. And yes — I am sympathetic to some of them because they work long hours and their customers likely do not display the same parity. Variety of Food/Drink/Snacks: 4 out of 5 The 7⁄11 stores in the US will never be quite as prolific as the ones in Asia. If you’ve walked into one in Taiwan before, you’ll know what I refer to, but the fact that you can get a variety of encased meats, taquitos, salads, pizza, chips, sodas, slurpees, coffees, and even fresh fruit says a lot about how far this chain has come. Value: 4 out of 5 Their 5.55(6.01 including tax) pizzas are a good deal. Not as cheap as Little Caesars, but there’s something neat about watching the Turbo Oven completely obliterate a cold pizza into something hot and fresh. The nutritional value isn’t so great if you eat the whole thing in one sitting, but if you split one with at least 2 coworkers it’s not such a bad thing. Soda and chips can be hit or miss on pricing sometimes, and in a pinch, I’m happy to get two bananas for 1.25 or whatever it is they charge. Cleanliness: 4 out of 5 This location is consistently clean, well lit, and nicely organized. Overall: 4 out of 5 Really nice for the establishment that it is.

Cashier was nice and also easy on the eyes. They had fizzy water, which is sometimes hard to come by. They had Whatchamacallit bars, which is a plus, but no Fifth Avenue bars, which is a minus. It was clean, even the area around the hot dog condiments. That says a lot.

This seven eleven has the best doughnuts and coffee to get the work day started.

The workers here are friendlier than your average 7-Eleven employee, which says plenty considering most 7-Eleven clerks eyeball you from the door to the Slurpee machine and back. I like the huge variety of chips. I like the two-for-$ 2 burrito rolls(that’s right, breakfast at 7-Eleven). I like that I can charge $ 1.01 without hassle(a definite knock on the other convenient store in the same building).
