I live close by and finding a bar with the same quality as downtown bars close to the suburbs is a good thing. Also, the prices are actually very reasonable. The food is good and very affordable. They play Latino music but you can play whatever you want on the jukebox anyway. Clean, decent and fresh. That’s good by me. Can’t wait to get back next time I come home from Cali.

This is def a good spanish dancing place! The crowd is mostly older latino who are all about dancing. The DJ played a good amount of salsa and then some bachata, merengue, and a few cha-cha-cha songs! This place has some hard core salsa dancers so be prepared to dance your shoes off! Drinks were relatively cheap compared to other downtown clubs/bars. A Ciroc coconut vodka with pinneaple juice was just $ 8. They also have waitresses walking around bringing drinks over to you which is nice if you have a table or are chatting with someone away from the bar. I also noticed they had typical bar food(wings, tenders, fries) however I did not try their food. I am sure I will come back to practice my dancing moves in the future!

I am highly disappointed with one of the owners Joey he was very rude and disrespectful. The organization that I am apart of recently held a fundraiser to raise funds for homeless and underprivileged youth. We spoke to the main guy Simon who was very nice but at the time at the party he was on vacation and left Joey in charge. Joey the night of the fundraiser told us we had to leave at 12 when our contract stated that we had the place till 2 am .we had about 60 ppl there and about 13 more on the way. However Joey stated that there was not enough people that we need to leave we informed him about our contract and he stated«call channel 7 news if you want I don’t care because I can’t pay my staff. He had 2 bartenders there. As a business I am not sure why he would not want to make some money than none because most of the people there came for the fundraiser he may have had only 2 regulars at the bar. Many people took off work the next day to attend this fundraiser and we had to refund many of the guest that came at 12 which defeated the point if raising funds I am highly disappointed with the lack of professionalism from Joey at Abram Gale. I would not recommend going there. After all in the words of Joey he does not care if he gets business or not so he will not be getting my business.

I went to this place to speak with the owner(or so I was told) simon back in May to set everything up for out non for profit event. We had spoken about the timing for the event and that every year we host 40 – 55 people. Two days before the event I get a phone call from his brother Joe confirming incorrect timing and saying he didn’t care about what simon said and we would have the place at different time. After much arguing and the fact that we had fliers printed and media arranged he let us have the event on our time. The day of the event(this is the kicker) joe decides to show up around 11 and tells us that since we didn’t bring 100 people we either needed to pay his staff or get out at midnight! We had the place till 2 am and guests were still planned to show up. I speak with joe first nicely to say hey we never had a number of people agreement he didn’t care. I then contacted my buddy who is a lawyer and was advised to inform him that I would involve the law and he stated«i don’t care come shut us down. Call channel 7 news!» He was do disrespectful and tasteless. This charity event was to raise funds to help kids in need with education supplies. He kicked all our guests out at midnight. To top it all off … This was a SUNDAY night! They had no regulars just our people. By that time we had 55 people and 13 on their way that had to turn back. Do not support this business! So disappointing!

I enjoyed the environment, place was clean and I love the lounge atmosphere howeveriI give only 2 stars because drinks are overpriced and watered down and all the DJ plays is Spanish music, come on if you are going to have a dancing establishment you need to play all kinds of music! Service was ok, music was too loud

Its a wanna be downtown club /lounge. They only play one type of music and thats Spanish every single day all night long, it’s kind of supposed to be a European place they have a polish bar /club next door. Rude ppl. The bouncer and owner at A and G are amazingly great at being assholes the place is usually dead, the prices are high, the only thing that’s good about the place is they have good food. I like variety who doesn’t I would like to hear maybe some alternative maybe a different nights but I really do not like going to a place that just continuously plays Spanish music. But hey what’s good for business is good for business because they wouldn’t have any if it wasn’t for their«change«.

I’m updating my review, as I’ve become a regular of this place. The more I come here the better the service gets. I always reserve a table or two and our regular server now is on point. Music is always great and no more issues with my water downed drinks. I’ve come to love this place. They are ace’s in my book. See ya there tomorrow night! =)

The music was ok on Saturday night(salsa). As soon we drove in front of the place we waited for the valet for 10 minutes with no one around, fine. We parked a block away. Then my wife ordered their specialty drink, it was a failed warm watered down martini, then music was to loud, I had to scream on my wife’s ear . I did like that it was an older crowd and that’s it. We wouldn’t go back nor recommend it to any one.

Went to this place for a party. We had a GREAT time. The location was surprising, we did not know about this place. We went for Salsa night and had an open tab due to the party. I can not say if drinks were expensive but the service was good. I guess comparing it to the other reviews I would think my service was good because they knew they would bank on our party of hard liquor drinkers.

My cousin had a birthday gathering here recently so this was my first time ever hearing about Abram Gale. I found this place to be a lounge style venue. There was a mandatory coat check. The place was filled with seating areas which lends to the loungy feel. The music was diverse as was the crowd. The staff here was very accommodating, responsive and courteous. This is not the place to drink wine, as it’s more of a beer and spirits kind of place. Nevertheless, they have a house wine that tastes along the lines of Charles Shaw(two buck chuck) but they also carry BV coastal wines. At the end of the night, I was satisfied with the experience and I will recommend others who are in the area to try this place.

I remember when Studio 69 used to be here, friends and I would throw parties every month. 25 dollar wrist bands and all you can drink for 3 hours. Plus the DJs they had there were great and the drinks were affordable. I go in here as AG’s has replaced 69. When I walked in it looked pretty classy, very ambient lighting, lots of plasma tvs, and the bulls game was on. Just me and my buddy were in there and the bar was full of a drunk crowd, so we both decide to sit at a tall table. We were greeted with menus on food, we put off the food for the time as we just ordered drinks. Rum and cokes. We get our rum and cokes promptly but after sipping on them for so long we were pretty much sipping on ice. The waitress that had given us our first drinks kept passing us by to talk to some guy there that she would check with often then go back to the bar and socialize. I finally get her attention by standing up, and someone else walked passed me as well and asked how I was doing(assuming it was the owner), I said everything was fine I had just been waiting for a drink, but I would like the check. He gave me the check and I paid the bill, left a 1 dollar tip for our«world class» service. I will give this place another chance, in hopes that they can rebuild their customer service level up. I love to support local bars and food joints, I just don’t enjoy when they don’t appreciate their customer base.

This is the worst place ever! will never go there again! Security can not control the fights! Manager is a jerk! Place is a ripoff! Drinks are way too high! Bottle service sucks! They are quick to charge you a $ 30.00 gratuity on each regular size bottle(2 btl min by the way) and the waitress does not even serve the drinks!!! I have had two parties ruined with this place! They still made their money off us as they have bad management! It’s just bad business all the way around! Please Please do not give this place any more business!

1) Location is inconvenient and far from the city. 2) Crowd and sound system are both weak, went on a Thursday night with live music and the place was half full, and we could not enjoy the band that we really liked when they performed @ Havana club around downtown. 3) Drinks are not well made, and they don’t pour enough alcohol to martinis and shots. No tap beer either. 4) Customer service is a joke here. We went with a group of 4, had food and many drinks. I ordered a beer and my wife did the same. Our friends started off with dirty martinis, and after a couple sips, decided they’re not made well. We asked the waitress to take them back. They started drinking beers after that. End of the night we get a $ 135 bill(it’s not like those 2 martinis were the only thing we ordered). 2 martinis($ 18) were on the bill asked the waitress about them. She said she tried and her manager would not take them off. Then this guy comes(some hybrid between a bartender, manager and a douche bag), basically tells us that they were both consumed half way and when i say hey, they were not, ask our waitress here, he sends the waitress off. Really DB, job well done annoying well paying customers over 2 drinks.(ended up still tipping the waitress $ 20, as none of this was her fault, and we were fine with her service overall, which was the best thing of all night) I am not going back here, and their manager’s attitude makes we come on Unilocal and write a review about them, so that you would not go either.
