First off, I HATE how there are zero dog parks on the south side. That benig said, I noticed this park a couple weeks ago while riding my bike in the area. And since there’s plenty of parking here, this one is much more convenient than the wicker park dog park. This place was not too crowded or empty. Also the grass is artificial which is good for a dog park. I’ll probably come here regularly any time I wanna take my dogs to the dog park in the future.

After months of parking near a construction site in the West Loop, I was pleasantly surprised to see the revealed results. Park 542 of the Chicago Park District, bordered by Adams, Monroe and Peoria on three sides is a wonderful oasis in the middle of numerous condo buildings. The playground has a rubberized surface, making it safe for those who want to clamber on it’s slopes and angles, patches of grass for people to laze on and a construction of modern angled arches that squirt out a refreshing mist. My kid loved it! There is also an enclosed dog park.
