I can’t say enough good things about this place. I ordered a catered breakfast for my coworkers and everything was amazing. All of the food was fresh and delicious. My coworkers, who some border on obesity, all raved about this place. To please some of the heffers I work with with food is an amazing feat. If I could, I and my gluttonous coworkers would give 10 stars. This place is.

Nice little grocery store, seemed to have all the basics though was lacking in specialty items. Lots of space, seemed a bit sparse and quiet on a Saturday around noon. Lots of parking which was nice. Everything was clean with a bright sheen on it. The staff all seemed disinterested in customers and didn’t really want to be there. Good selection of produce and a few seasonal baked goods. Like the raisin scones. Craft beer selection was pretty basic, less than a Jewel or Marianos. I admire what they’re doing, but they need to find a niche rather than try to appeal to the masses by cloning other big box stores. Support smaller local vendors and that should be a good place to start. Overall the selection was somewhat limited but i’d return if in the area again.

This grocery store is not even close to being up to par! The produce selection is very limited and not fresh! Every piece of produce was bruised as if the produce is purchased at a discounted rate. The meat department is very limited… most of the meat is wrapped in saran wrap which leads me to believe that they are hoping it stays«fresh» past the normal timeframe for selling the meat. In all my years shopping for food across the globe, I have NEVER seen meat wrapped in plastic. Meat and produce are the primary items I went to purchase and I walked out with a box of cereal. The employees at the deli counter do not know how to slice turkey and do not even show you a sample of the thickness of their slice before they complete your order.

Ok I’ve given Ada’s a few more chances and I like the store. It’s convenient and never has a long line. It’s a great place to so small shopping trips. DONOT get anything from the coffee shop. They made my drink a matcha with samples that had been sitting out on the counter for who knows how long. The samples were made with milk and I requested soy milk. Not only is it disgusting to pour old samples into a fresh drink someone with food allergies could become seriously ill.

I really want this place to succeed. The owners and all the staff are super nice. But the past few times I’ve been here they did not have basic items. Most recently, 2 days ago they did not have jalapeños. A few weeks ago, no basil. About a month ago they didn’t have chocolate syrup. I end up going to Ada’s and then to Jewel to get the rest of the stuff I need and it’s usually pretty basic stuff like this. I really hope this store gets it together, it’s in a great spot and it would be very convenient.

Absolutely wonderful store for those always necessary quick trips. Reasonably priced with a slammin’ deli section that offers some of the best mushroom soup I’ve ever experienced. There’s a hot food carry out section, a great coffee bar(Intelligensia, whoo hoo!) and a very friendly staff to make the place even more appealing. And if the store doesn’t feature your favorites you can drop a suggestion/request and every effort will be made to stock the item. Hard to find that kind of attitude in the big chain stores.

Compared to the other 2 stores that were in this building. Ads’a is a breath of fresh air. It’s a really nice little store down a few blocks from my apartment. Their produce section is small but real nice. The quality is good and fairly priced. The deli section is small but nice. Good prices. I tried their house smoked ham and I really liked the taste and price too. The store almost looks like a copy of the previous ones but with fresh faces. They greet you when you walk in which is awesome. I hope this place survives due to shop n save not far from here. This place is a bit closer to my home then shop n save.

I love this new store in the neighborhood. Our area is a food oasis with so many options, but Ada’s brings some unique products I love and will keep going back for. The prices are competitive and they offer some fantastic specials. I like to condense my shopping and they have most of what I usually need. My absolute favorite is the smoked salmon. It is just a piece of fresh salmon, smoked lightly on site. It is very low salt so I can eat it every day. This is not like nova lox cured with smoke and salt, it is just smoked salmon. You really have to try it, it is so tasty an healthy! The hot food bar is better than Mariano’s and Whole Foods by far. The choices are amazing, and so tasty. I met the chef one evening when I was there and he said they aim to keep the hot bar ingredients healthy. My favorites are the roasted veggies, many different types of meat loaf and the apple gobbler dessert. They have whole steaks and pork chops, mashed potatoes like my mom makes. I had the beef goulash with some mashed potatoes last night and it was wonderful. I work long hours, and I have little time to cook, so Ada’s offers a welcome place to get a good prepared meal. I have to mention the fresh pastries and bread, the great coffee shop and so much more.

Ada’s is such a wonderful addition to Norwood Park. The previous incarnations of grocery stores that occupied this location were lacking in a way that was hard to pinpoint, until Ada’s opened and made it clear why this store is head and shoulders above its predecessors. Ada’s has a reasonable selection of produce, an large deli, an organic food section, as well as a hot bar and a coffee bar. I haven’t compared prices at Ada’s with other stores in the area, but I do find Ada’s to be one of the cleanest, beat organized, and friendliest stores. I want this place to do well because it really is a cut above the rest of the small, local stores in the neighborhood.

This is the new store that Norwood Park desperately needed. Good prices, great selection and kind staff all make this a win-win for us here. There is a coffee shop attached to the building as well!

I’m giving Ada’s the full five stars because they sell rotisserie chicken– DELICIOUS rotisserie chicken! Ada’s also has a variety of fresh produce with lots of organic options. Their deli meats and cheeses were less expensive than I expected. As for their prepared foods, I’ve tried their Cranberry Couscous salad(tastes like Thanksgiving!) and their Roasted Corn salad. Both were so fresh, flavorful, and tasty. They made great side dishes for my cookout! I initially went in to support a new, local business expecting a limited selection with high price tags but was so pleasantly surprised! I’ll definitely return for the bulk of my grocery shopping. Maybe it was what I picked out but my bill was cheaper here than at my other main grocery store, and my purchase today included a number of extra items like cooking spray and Kcups.

The deli has me coming back time and time again. Perfect place to stop on the way home from work for something for dinner, premade or ingredients. The chicken salad, mushroom soups, potato salad, lunch meats have all been DELICIOUS. I can’t wait to try more. All of the employees have been nothing but nice and helpful. The owner is very customer oriented and has hopped on a register to speed up the checkout process if there was more than one person in line. On a neighborhood walk with your dog? There is a bowl of water as well as a bowl of Snausages at the door for your pooch.

Great little grocery store. The broccoli salad is fantastic, along with their other prepared foods. The prices are in general very good. In fact their organic eggs and milk are 50 cents cheaper than other grocery stores so they have some good deals. Love their coffee too!

Really enjoyed coming here! Nice staff, clean establishment! Came here to grab something out of their lunch bar– really impressed with the quality and selection! I ended going with the pre made Cobb salad! Really good and only four bucks for a huge portion! Will definitely be back to shop and for lunch! Huge selection of food, liquor, and bakery/deli for their size!

Nice Local grocery. Good Deli — fair prices. They had Rotisserie chicken for 4.99 each. Looked good. I tried their Asiago bread and it was very good. They have some prepared food in the front near the coffee counter. I tried their chili — it was a little sweet — but good. Very happy overall and i hope they make it.

A great small grocery store. Clean and well organized, this store carries a nice assortment of fresh produce, meat and dry goods. They had a good variety of fresh made breads and my favorite Aunt Mille’s white bread. They also had a small, but well thought out organic vegetable selection. They are very well staffed(ala Marianos) and every register was open. The parking lot is a little tight, so bring your patience. They have a great coffee shop that opens at 5:30 am to catch the commuters. The coffee shop features intelligensia beans and has some nice pastries and such to accompany your coffee on the trip to work. I tried the food on the hot bar and honestly, it was just ok. The chicken was a little dry and everything else looked a little steam tabled out — do hot bars ever look good… i think not. Maybe if the hot bar doesn’t make it, they can make this a sit down coffee shop. To wind down your day, they have a good selection if liquor, beer and wine. A welcome addition to the growing downtown Norwood Park. And I thank you for stocking organic foods and booze!
