Aldi

I use to shop at this location very often in ⁰⁷⁄₀₈ and much of 09, even though there were Aldi stores a little closer. The one on 76^th and Ashland did not open until 2009 I think.
Why does this store get 5 stars? Great helpful employees, clean and dirt-​free, merchandise is always priced right and stacked neatly, and this store hardly ever runs out of items that I’m looking for. Several things I love out of any retail or dining venue.
Another reason why this place gets 5 stars is because of the memories I have of waiting for a northbound 49 Western bus to 71^st, so I could get back to 69^th Street. I use to sit inside the bus shelter adjacent to the store, and, for some reason, I would sing the ATB song «Long Way Home» as I watched buses turn into the 79^th Street bus terminal, while waiting for my NB 49. Every time, yes, every time after I completed my shopping at THIS Aldi location, I would do that. If you never heard the song or don’t like trance music, here it is
Ahhh, so many nice, pristine memories. Miss them, but they’ll return when I shop this Aldi store again thanks to traveling with transit passes.
